Detective Tracy Sterling #4
Stew of Bones
Bodies are being discovered in the most gruesome state imaginable–the victims, stripped of flesh and dissolved in a stew of bones.
Each victim is a cryptic piece in a macabre puzzle spanning the city's dark underbelly. As Tracy delves deeper, she unravels a disturbing pattern that points to a killer, both meticulous and unhinged.
As the killer's method grows increasingly brazen, each gruesome discovery propels Tracy into an intense investigation that snakes through the city's most dangerous corners–where every clue drags her deeper into a web of twisted motives and sinister secrets.
Soon, the stakes skyrocket, and Tracy’s relentless pursuit pits her against a ruthless killer with methods both effective and grotesque. With each step closer to unraveling the mystery, she must confront the mistakes of her past, which threaten to unravel her world as surely as acid eats away flesh.

Stew of Bones
It was not as good as her usual books. The FBI was supposed to be involved in this case but it seemed that Tracy was the only one trying to solve the crimes. The Columbians catch her, drugs her and she's able to get away while highly sedated...

birth of a noir PI
Interesting series so far. Good if not the most likable characters.
If my interpretation is right, it is a view of the birth of a jaded detective in a hard boiled pulp detective world.
Not sure where it is heading next.
It resonates a bit with the show “the black list” that I am binging through now.
Looking forward to the next one.

excellent read
This was the best book of the series so far.I could not put it down. Everything moved quickly in the story and the ending did not take away from all that went on in the story.

It was fast paced and fun. Full of action and I read it in half a day. Definitely going to read the other books in this series
