Riley's review: I liked that she did good even though they were in a hard class. I didn't like that nobody would listen to her. I liked the ballet dancing, but it looks a little bit hard. I could do that, but I don't want to go to ballet class.
I read this book to my niece--and she was even willing to wait for me to finish reading it before we opened presents on Christmas day! It was fine--a story about a little girl on her first day of ballet class, and she ends up in the advanced class instead of the beginners, but does alright anyway. For me it was a little rough reading it out loud, since I was trying to talk as the characters, and ended up doing variations of falsettos a lot, which is trying on the vocal chords. But the story is not bad for a kid's book.
I loved how they drew the pictures in this book. It was odd that Pinkalicious got mixed up with a girl who looked like Alison. The girls linked arms when Pinkalicous was trying to crawl through them. After Pinkalicous got mixed up with the classes the other dancers walked her to the beginner class. I really really really really really really really AND REALLY loved this book. I hope you enjoy the book.
I read this book with my step daughter and she absolutely was tickled by how the story went and the pink colors throughout the pages always caught her eye! Very easy read but a much longer book than most beginning level stories so I thought this a good for first time readers
In the excitement of the first day of ballet class, Pinkalicious mistakenly follows a classmate into an advanced ballet class and a silly, fun adventure occurs. My 4 year old loved this Pinkalicious book.
Pinkalicious accidentally gets caught up in the wrong class. She puts forth full effort, but eventually is noticed by the teacher. While she learns something in this more advanced class, she is not quite ready to advance her ballerina skills, and she misses Alison, her friend in her original class.
The little girl is excited to be going to ballet class with her friend. But when she gets there, all the other girls already know their dance and she can't keep up. It turns out she's in the wrong class.
