This book is kinda realated to Killer App but this one is about this kid that is in the library. The kid (Aloso) keeps her this thud sound. Immendently he thinks the librarian is dead. He finds these staircases that go to a basement he hears the sound growing bigger. Then out of nowhere this weird person thing pops out and then it goes away. read this Dumb book if you are in desperate need!
Behold the Library of Doom! The world's largest collection of deadly and dangerous books. Only the Librarian can prevent these books from falling into the hands of those who would use them for evil.
I found this series in the returned cart at my local library and it looked interesting. Each book from the Return to the Library of Doom begins as I quoted above with a great tag line/question that starts off the adventure in the book. There are three main characters, The Librarian (reminds me of Batman with bits of Superman... YES lol) The Specialist, (again reminds me of Wonder Woman and a super hero librarian from my youth ... another YES) and different villains. My youth would have loved these. Finding them now, I still enjoyed them.
Blood in the Library was the first one I picked up and it set the bar pretty high for me. I am not sure what order you are suppose to read them in, but so far in the series I liked most of them and it seemed, to me, each book can be read as a standalone. They are quick, adventurist, and some are spooky with imaginative twists. The illustrations and the bonus research pages at the back give an added touch to these younger middle grade books. Can there be a YA or Adult version of The Library of Doom? I would 100% read it.
Blood in the Library ★★★★ Ghost Writer ★★★ Rats on the Page ★★★ The Sea of Lost Books ★★★★ The Book that Ate my Brother ★★★ Inkfoot ★★★ Zombie in the Library ★★★★
Great book for kids that don’t want to read. There’s plenty of space on each page and awesome drawings, so the story goes very quickly. I would recommend this to parents looking for something creepy yet engaging for their children to read.
I loved the Librarian character. The Eraser is a cool villain, too!
This book was decent, For some reason I believed it would be much more plot-rich story, but it mainly caters to a younger audience which is not my cup of tea. It was not poorly written and had decent story, but did not fulfill me.
What happened to the Librarian? I am enjoying this series my Grandson introduced me to. Not over the top scary but gives you the chills. Good book/series for kids fourth grade and up.
My book named Blood in the Library Written by Michael Dahl. The main character of this book is Alonso he`s young. He works in sub-sub librarians. I like this book because it has fiction and it’s very interesting. In this book I learn that you need to have calm and go slow because if you do the things fast you can’t do the things good or happen something good and this is why the people need to do the things slow.
In the first chapter Alonso want to put one book in the bookcase and he takes the stairs. Then he put the book in the bookcase. After when he put the book whit one page of paper he cut his hand and the hand start blooding after he climb down quietly for don’t fall but one part of the stairs broke. Then he falls from the stairs and he almost breaks he's back.
In the second chapter when Alonso fall and he hurts he's back he stand up and he go to his house because the library it is going to close but he hears voices from dark hallways and then he go to see what happen. After when he's going to see what happen in the hallway he see 6 archivists named the eraser that they are magic archivists who do the bad around the magic oldest book.
In the third chapter Alonso is scared because Eraser destroy the magic oldest book that Alonso is looking for it. After the archivists they are doing something to the book for know what are in the book because if they know hat are in after they have all the power of the library and Alonso gasps Alonso ducks under the window and run away to save the librarian.
In the fourth chapter after the archivist see Alonso and the go running to Alonso. Then Alonso run to the Library because under the library there is a huge where you can scape. Then when he's going to the library he sees the huge book and he see dark hole. Alonso jumps into the hole and he go to Under Library. After the finger of Alonso stop bleeding anymore and he hear heartbeat and he see a light. Then he goes to the light and he se the door for scape he go out and then he go to he's house.
A bit of a strange twist in this book in the Library of Doom series. What happens when you get a paper cut in the Library? What lurks in the deepest depths of the book stacks? Great atmosphere. The text and pictures really drive the story and will hook in reluctant readers. It is a bit creepy, so sensitive youngins might want to steer clear. There are writing prompts and questions in the back which would make it a great book club selection. Love this series!
