A true joy to read!!!!

Sometimes you have to feed both wolves to balance the world!!!! This series has everything anyone could ask for in an adult fantasy adventure!!! Progressive MC with wonderful characters with slow progression as well!!!! I can't wait to see what comes next!! L

I have to say, this book took me completely by surprise—and not in a good way. After reading some reviews, I have to agree with the consensus: if I had known how things would end, I likely wouldn’t have started the series. There was more than enough material for a fourth book, but instead, everything was crammed into the end of this one.

I listened to the audiobook, which was around 34 hours long. The major issue is that the entire series is wrapped up in the last 40 minutes. The ending came out of the blue, and after investing so much time in all the fight scenes, dungeon expansions, character development, and world-building across the entire series, it left me reeling. The abruptness of the conclusion was jarring.

To make matters worse, the "what happened after" part felt rushed and unsatisfying. It didn’t leave me speechless—it left me angry. Another book could have provided the space needed to give the story the conclusion it deserved. If that had happened, this easily could have been a 5-star series for me.

Good Story, Bad Everything Else

There was just...so MUCH wrong with this installment!

-Holy rushed endings Batman! This was CLEARLY meant to be four books, possibly five before it ran into a hydraulic press disguised as an editor. This would also explain the rest of the issues.

-An entire **chapter** where the main character's name was changed, followed by random pages throughout the remaining chapters where it changed. When you see this, you've reached the point where the hydraulic press was working overtime.

-Every other random spelling or grammatical error.

-The incomplete subplots for days.

Seriously, if I had paid for this book beyond Kindle Unlimited, I'd be demanding a refund for how hamfisted this was handled. Gave it two stars because at least they ended the series.

Pretty good series, terrible ending. Rushed and unsatisfying, like the author got bored with it and phoned it in. Hix, Mia, and Purity all seemed to be pointless, like there was a story intended that wasn't fleshed out.
