An alien pirate promises to give me a child. But what if he steals my heart?
Aliens are real and they’re eager to Slake. What’s Slaking, you ask? It seems Xilan males go into a voracious heat period every three years, and there aren’t enough females to fulfill the needs of these beastly aliens.
Enter me and other Earth females eager to have children. We travel to a space station, where we’re introduced to brawny alien males in dire need of Slaking. All systems are go until giant spider aliens overrun the station, determined to plant egg sacks within our bodies. No thanks. Me and a cocky alien space pirate, Brune, escape, but our shuttle is sucked into a wormhole and ejected into uncharted territory.
Is it my fault the people on this planet believe I’m a goddess? They say I’m their savior. And they assure me they won’t roast Brune over the fire pit for dinner.
Brune insists no one will eat him… He says we’ll escape and return to our world. He’ll satisfy his Slaking, and I’ll soon have a bundle of joy on the way.
Shiver me timbers, but Brune is sweet, hot, and too damn appealing. I'm beginning to think we're fated. As determined as I am to return to Earth, I’m not sure I can let my alien pirate go…
Alien Pirate’s Plunder is Book 4 in the Fated Mates of the Xilan Warrior Series. This book has aliens who look and act alien, steamy romance, and a guaranteed happily ever after. This series is best when read in order.
AVA ROSS fell for men with unusual features when she first watched Star Wars, where alien creatures have gone mainstream. She lives in New England with her husband (who is sadly not an alien, though he is still cute in his own way), her kids, and assorted pets, including a yorkie pup and three cats.
The following ratings are out of 5: Romance: ❤️💙💜💚 Steam: 🔥🔥🔥 Story/Plot: 📕📗📘📙 World building: 🌏🌍🌏🌍🌎 Character development: 😠☺️😋😍 Narration: 🎙🎙🎙🎙🎙 Narration Type: Dual Narration
The heroine:Sammy - She and her three best friends decided to go to the space station where human females meet with male Xilan warriors in order to get pregnant since the males of earth all became sterile from a virus. Luckily it was a free program since Sammy doesn’t make enough as a WalMart greeter to pay for artificial insemination.
The Hero:Brune - he is a space pirate and near to going into his slaking, which is like a male going into heat. It lasts a week, and they need to slake their lust during that time, over and over. Since the Xilan’s had been at war with the Yuris (spider aliens) for years and the majority of their women were decimated during the war. He became a pirate because there weren’t any other options for a male of his station.
The Story: This one differed from the first three books in that Sammy wasn’t yet matched to a Xilan male but was in the restroom when the Spider like race of aliens attacked the space port. She ran through the corridors of the space station to get away from the creatures and hid in a closet where she meets an alien crow named Kristoff. The guy that comes after his pet crow is obviously a pirate and he claims Sammy and takes her with him in one of the escape pods, which ends up flying into a wormhole.
I liked this adventure since the two main characters end up crashing onto a planet where the race of people, the Arasgar is waiting for a savior, and they immediately think that Sammy is that savior. Brune’s crow Kristoff was a funny addition to the story. Kristoff was angry at Brune for something that happened a while ago and wasn’t very nice to him, but seemed to love Sammy. This added quite a bit of comic relief to the story.
This book is told in dual points of view via dual narration and was narrated by Felicity Munroe and Stephen Dexter. Both of these narrators always do a great job and I enjoy both of their voices and their narration style. They did this entire series and I listened to all four books back-to-back.
✨ “I will love you all night and when you wake in the morning, I’ll love you all over again.” ~~~ Sammy is the sweetest and kindest person. And she’s so supportive and compassionate. I loved her so much!
And Brune is absolutely the best! He’s not the pirate you’d expect - he’s strong, protective, honorable, honest and kind. I loved everything about him and I just couldn’t resist this magnificent and hot male with a heart of gold!
I loved everything that happened between Sammy and Brune! Both have been through so much and, yet, they had such compassionate and beautiful souls. And, from the first moment they met, their attraction and chemistry were absolutely undeniable. Those two were such a passionate couple and an amazing team - definitely my favorite couple from the series.
In addition, the worlbuilding and the storyline were magnificent! I loved the new planet we got to explore and the new aliens we got to meet - the Areskars - a wonderful, kind, honest and magical race. And let’s not forget Christoff - he’s the best sidekick a pirate could ask for - so funny and scheming. Even more, I loved the small easter egg connecting this series to another from the author.
Overall, the story is a fantastic conclusion to the series. It’s filled with adventure, twists, danger, unexpected discoveries, fast-paced action, magic, humor, steamy romance and wonderful characters.
I couldn’t put it down and loved every page of it! ~ I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Facebook with probably 1 of my favorites of the series so far. I love the humor. The fact that Sammy was a Wal-Mart greeter tickled me. Brune thought it was important. So funny. The couple had such great chemistry I loved every page.
"She was a greeter of the wall mart, a lofty position in her world, no doubt.". 😂
Fated Mates of the Xilian Warriors is a 4 book series. The basis is set in the future, where all of Earth’s men have become infertile due to a virus. Sperm banks still exist, which contain fertile sperm from before the viral extinction crisis that left men infertile, but only the wealthiest of humans can afford the deteriorating supply. Xilian is an alien race whose males go through a week-long heat period called a “Slaking”, where they are the most fertile, and can do nothing but f*ck. They don’t have enough females after an attack from Yuris to quench their thirst or feed their needs, so they’ve made an arrangement with Earth and it’s females; in exchange for 1 weeks time of catering to the Xilian’s sexual needs, they get to leave with a pregnancy. Everything is free and strictly a volunteer deal, which offers plenty of volunteers desperate for babies. During the courting, the space station is attacked by the enemy Yuris, which are giant space spiders, and all hell breaks loose. These four books follow four human female friends who volunteered together and their 4 selected mates.
Alien Pirate’s Plunder is book 4 in this series, and follows the human female Samantha (aka Sammy) and her alien mate Brune. Sammy is a Wal-Mart greeter that grew up in abusive foster care homes. Brune became an alien pirate after his family reluctantly sold him when he was 8 years old as a slave. Brune returned home at 11 when his master was murdered to find his family dead, presumably from hunger. Brune’s only friend is a chicken-parrot named Christoff. He doesn’t think he is deserving of a mate, or future with a family. The Xilians are tall and blue with scales, a tail, fangs and horns. When the Yuris attacked the space station, Brune found Sammy hiding in a closet while searching for Christoff. He decided that she was his mate in the hallway before whisking her to an escape pod. (I was happy to see that the author didn’t bother reexplaining the same details that were well covered in the first 2 books regarding the initial attack.) Destined for Drundar, the escape pod was knocked off course from a chasing Yuris ship, before being sucked through a wormhole. The blackhole spit their pod out near the home planet of the Areskars. We first met the Areskars in the previous book, as they were the species being held in stasis inside the underground cavern; inside the labyrinth, next to the pyramid. Before crash landing on their planet, Brune had the pod update their translators with the Areskars language. It didn’t take long for them to be found by the Areskars where, with a little help from Christoff, they believed Sammy to be the “chosen one” that would save them per the prophecy. (On a side note, I was having a really hard time wrapping my head around how Christoff was able to communicate with Sammy and the Areskars. He didn’t have a translator implant, did he? Why would they put one in a bird? That made zero sense. I overlooked the oversight, but I digress.) What did they need saving from? A robot army swept through their homes, killing most of their tribe, and still remains in their old village with their children held captive. We later discover that the robots created the Areskars and bred then colonized them for slaves. So Brune agrees to train the Areskars, along side curbing his need to slake, until it’s time to go to war.
Of course, the relationship between Brune and Sammy blossoms throughout the adventure, and she chooses to live happily ever after with Brune opposed to returning to Earth.
There was a decent amount of “spice” throughout the adventure. Along with witty dialogue. Although, it didn’t start warming up until the 40% point in the book. Brune and Sammy first became intimate as prisoners inside the hut of the Areskar village. Brune chose to wait before taking Sammy completely (with his penis) until the time was right (or the slaking gave him no choice, whichever came first). When a Xilian finds their bonded mate, each party is magically given a matching wrist tattoo. That’s how they know a being is their fated mate. And of course, each pair in this series is presented with such bond. Brune and Sammy’s bond mark appeared immediately upon meeting each other, but she doesn’t seem to notice hers until 65% into the book? Brune saw it long before she did, but never mentioned it. She even ran her fingers across the mark on HIS wrist, but somehow missed it on her own completely? I don’t buy this. How blind does a gal have to be to miss a wrist tattoo? They kinda wrote Sammy to be an unobservant ditz. I would notice a foreign marking on my body pretty dang quickly, unless it was on my back or butt and I didn’t have access to mirrors. Anyway… moving on…
The Xilian species is able to tuck their cocks inside their lower abdomen for protection, so they appear to have Barbie genitalia, until they pull it out of their “cock pocket.” Both parties “lock together” after sex, a lot like dogs, once ejaculation has been completed. Their penis has an appendage that inserts the female womb through the cervix, ensuring the sperm finds the egg. Talk about guaranteed pregnancy, lol. The original contract stated the female could return for another’s slaking if a pregnancy wasn’t achieved the first time around, though I don’t know how that outcome could’ve been possible unless she didn’t drop an egg during ovulation. Brune didn’t actually f*ck Sammy with his c*ck until after 60% into the book. Once he did though, it was FIRE. Dare I say anal play? I didn’t know the author had it in them. Lol. And his possessive bite? This is my kind of book. Way better than the first 3 books, in my opinion, and well worth the wait.
The adventure-to-romance ratio was slightly imbalanced, but I enjoyed the ride none the less. The only thing that would’ve made it better, from my perspective, is if an attack on the space station never happened and the adventure was removed all together. I’m more into the word-pörn portion. I would’ve rather read a 7-day adventure regarding courting and slaking. Maybe one of the Xilians went full fledge hot into slaking during the meet-and-greet and took his pick in front of a crowd? I’m all for voyeurism, lol. The entire series was a pleasant journey for the most part; I recommend the read at least once.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
This is an OK sci-fi alien romance, and an OK ending to the series, but I did have a few issues with it. It gets 3 stars from me.
This series should definitely be read in order, beginning with Alien Commander's Mate, as each book builds on the overarching plot. It might be difficult to understand, and would certainly not be as enjoyable, if the books were read out of order.
The basic plot of the series is that Sammy and her friends agreed to have sex with alien Xilan men, because they wanted children (and most human men were infertile). The Xilan men went into heat every 3 years (called slaking), during which time they needed to have a lot of sex, and it was the only time they were fertile. Their agreement was to spend a week with a Xilan man, to satisfy his need for slaking and to get the woman pregnant.
I thought this book was too short to have as much character development as I like. I would have liked a little more backstory on both Brune and Sammy.
Sammy was likable enough, but I thought her calm acceptance of being attacked by giant spider-like aliens, then getting sent thru a wormhole, was a bit unbelievable. I get that she had no choice but to deal with it, but most women would have been so panicked that they wouldn't have been able to fight or run very well. I did like that she found ways to help Brune, even though she had no weapons or battle training. I also liked that she and Brune both helped the peaceful race of aliens on the planet where they ended up.
Brune was likable, with a sad childhood. It was also sad that he blamed himself for the death of his family. I liked that he recognized that Sammy was his fated mate immediately, but didn't try to push her into a lifetime mating. I also liked that Sammy tried to help him see that his family's death was not his fault.
I really loved Christoff, Brune's incredibly smart talking pet bird. He seemed to be almost sentient, and understood many concepts that no one would expect a bird to understand. He understood betrayal, forgiveness, trust, and friendship. And he was sometimes really funny!
There was a mistake in the overarching plot for the series. In the first book, Lydia finds out that Xilan pregnancies are only 3 months. Then, in this book, Sammy finds out they are for 18 months. That is a big editing error. Which one is correct?
I didn't really believe that Brune and Sammy were in love, especially at first. They were definitely in lust, though.
My rating system is below. 1 star -- Hated it, or did not finish. I usually only give this rating if some of the content is truly objectionable to me, like if one of the main characters does something really awful, and gets away with it. 2 stars -- Didn't like it. This rating usually means that I thought the writing wasn't very good, the editing was terrible, I didn't like the characters, or it had other major flaws. 3 stars -- I liked it, but had some minor issues with it. This rating means that there were minor editing issues, the story needed more character development, it was just too unrealistic, or had some other fairly minor issue. The majority of books I read get this rating – I do not consider it a bad rating. 4 stars -- I liked it a lot. This is a high rating for me, and I rarely give a higher one. 5 stars -- I loved it, and will probably read it again. Very few books are good enough to get this rating from me. The ones that do are usually classics.
Brune became a pirate because he pretty much had to. There was no honourable option available for someone like him and it is purely a circumstance of birth rather than anything else. He heard of the chance to come to the space station where the human women were to be and he did all that he could to ensure that he was there too. Ok so he wasn't in the room but he was on the station. Everything took a far more malevolent turn when the Xilan enemies attack the station and he literally runs into his mate, his actual mate, in the corridors. If he can keep her safe maybe there is a chance, however small that he can make her fall in love with him. Sammy never even made it into the room where all the Xilan warriors were before everything went Pete Tong. She is running down a hallway trying to escape the space spiders when she runs into a Xilan. To her eyes he looks like a pirate and he has a parrot on his shoulder for goodness sake! She is more than happy to not be alone when the only chance of survival is an escape pod. That said since said pod is now going to crash, will she regret being with Brune? I loved these two together. How hesitant and sweet Brune was, so fearful of rejection for someone who has used confidence as a shield for so long. Sammy too has her own past demons to deal with.
..."an alien pirate was running my way. Should I flee or hurry out to greet him?"
Sammy and her friends traveled into space, to a far off space station, to spend a week with a Xilan (aka Alien) and get pregnant, what could go wrong?
Before Brune could select a human to spend a week making a child with the station was attacked and everyone was running for their lives. Perfect. Yet somehow, in the midst of the chaos, chance? fate? A bird with attitude? whatever you want to credit led him to Sammy.
This done in one Kindle Unlimited quick read has some of the most entertaining writing! It's a laugh out loud fun read, which is impressive from a story that touches on dysfunctional families, difficult childhoods, and the pain we carry into adulthood with us.
Sammy and Brune meet a wonderful alien race, and are challenged by a community to save their future... a challenge they take on, even as they struggle to understand what it means.
I don't give many 5 star reviews, I save those for stories I re-read, or that have that something above and beyond... and I definitely found that here, with characters that were willing to fight for what was right, even when it seems impossible, were ready to try and help strangers, even as they were trying to grasp what exactly they needed help with.
I enjoyed Brune and Sammy’s alien-human romance with a side of shipwrecked. A disease has made human males infertile. Xilan, a race of aliens, has a Slaking that lasts a week every three years when they are fertile and in heat. Their species does not have enough women. So a trade program is worked out. Sammy is a human who is a Walmart greeter and grew up in foster care. She and her three friends volunteer in order to get pregnant. Brune is a Xilan pirate who has had a difficult and lonely life. Before Sammy is matched, she visiting the restroom which is when the evil Yuris attack the space station and Sammy has to run. She encounters Brune who gets them to an escape pod. Unfortunately, they end up going through a wormhole and crash on an unknown alien planet instead of landing on a nearby moon. To get to their their HEA, Brune and Sammy will need to figure out how to escape from the unknown planet safely and navigate the wormhole back to where they came from as well as deal with some personal baggage. The story was well written and included witty dialogue, three dimensional characters, and an engaging storyline woven into good world building as shown through sweet moments, steam, dangerous situations, alien physiology and cultures, true mates, coincidences, plot twists, painful pasts, mysteries, and laughs. This was a fun series.
The space station Sammy is on comes under attack from alien Yuris spiders causing her to seriously doubt the contract she’d signed to be there. When a disease on Earth rendered human males sterile there hadn’t been too many other options available for her. So along with friends they’d all signed up to mate with a Xilan male during his once every three-year slacking in the hopes of returning to Earth pregnant. Now all bets are off as she flees the invading spider hoard. Having enjoyed other books in this series I have to admit this one is now my favorite. Brune (one hot pirate) and Sammy have now become my favorite couple. I had quite a few chuckles with these two after Brune saves her and they escape pod out of the fray. Just about every pirate has a parrot but Brune’s kind of isn’t and doesn’t like the term parrot as you’ll laughingly see. Wonderfully crafted characters make this story escapism at its best and things really get crazy when their escape pod gets caught in a wormhole! Well written with plenty of steam and adventure I really enjoyed this story, which is a definite read again keeper.

This is very well written. It’s got amazing characters and vivid storyline. There’s action, danger, an attack by massive spider creatures intent on breeding human females and the big blue aliens who vow to protect their fated mates, steamy scenes, and weirdly enough a chicken. You won’t regret reading this book at all.
Sammy is on a space station about to be impregnated by a big blue alien male during a week of slaking. It’s just her luck when spider aliens attack while she’s in the loo. Having no idea where her friends are she runs and eventually finds a broom cupboard to hide in. When she hears a noise she gets up the nerve to open the door and finds….a chicken. When a big blue pirate looking alien comes to find the chicken he also puts sammy over his shoulder and declares he’s claimed her, which isn’t how it’s supposed to go. They reach an escape pod and they head for an uninhabited moon to lay low waiting for reinforcements. Unfortunately a missile blast to the pod sends them through a wormhole and they land on an undiscovered planet. Brune vows to protect Sammy from any threats. First to find a safe place and then the slaking and impregnating his mate, what fun.

A world in which women cannot easily have children but have the option of entering into a contract to aid alien males during their slaking with the goal of becoming pregnant.
Though unoriginal, I laughed at Sammy and Brune’s first meeting. You get an instant sense of their true personalities and I really enjoyed that there were no secrets or guessing games between the two. Essentially, what you saw, was what you got. Brune is a romantic and such a sweetie, while still being a tough guy, while Sammy is understanding and kind-hearted. The characters both had supportive personalities as a result of their upbringing, providing an effortless relationship development, which was nice to read.
I liked the beginning of the book, yet felt it lagged in the middle, and the ending feeling kind of abrupt. However, I do personally favour books with more action and battle scenes (which I delighted in with the first three books). I felt the lack of action may have been a missed opportunity in the excitement factor but still found the slower aspects of the book nice to read. I rated this book 3.5 stars.
Congratulations for completing this series Ava, I am excited to finally start the “Fated Mates of the Ferlaern Warriors”.
A fun sexy adventure and a perfect conclusion to the series 💖
Brune is a pirate a bit blue sexy pirate that has to e to the space station to get through his slaking . He had no idea that all hell would break loose when the station was invaded by spider aliens bent on capturing the earth woman. As he searches for his leg he comes across Sammy and can't believe he's actually found his fated mate. Sammy came with the rest of her friends to help a Xilan warrior with his slaking and to have a baby. She got cold feet and ended up in the bathroom before her name was called. While she was in the bathroom all hell breaks loose and she runs and tries to hide. What she doesn't expect is to run into a very sexy Xilan pirate. He talks one look at her, picks her up and makes a run for the nearest escape pod. As they get to know one another their pod is blown f2f course and heads into a wormhole. And then their adventure really begins! They land on a planet make new friends , right robots and rescue children all while falling helplessly in love with one another. This was a fun, sexy adventure and I enjoyed it immensely! Highly recommend this book and the series as a whole!🔥🔥🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖💖🔥💖🔥🔥💖🔥🔥💖🔥💖💖🔥🔥💖🔥💖
Yes... I was waiting to see the story of Sammy and her Pirate Brune. Actually, Brune is not your typical pirate. He has a good heart and is willing to help those who need helps. Sammy and Brune were escaping the spiders that invaded the space station where she and her friends were supposed to meet the other Xilian Warrior for their slaking and help the women get pregnant.
Anyways, as the escape pod was traveling to a safe refuge place, they are sucked into a black worm hole. They end up in another sector of space away from their friends. They meet a small colony of Areskars thinking Sammy is the chosen one sent from their elders to help them get their future back and help resolve their problem. I love reading how Brune knew immediately that Sammy is he's fated mate. He wants to make sure she is safe fand wanting to leave that planet and go back to their friends and fellow Xilian warriors. But they see that Areskars are not disappointed with all the action and the funny behavior of Christoff the sidekick of Brune.

A disease on Earth made human males sterile, so the women who want children can sign contracts to mate with a Xilan male who once every three-years goes into an intense heat requiring slaking. Afterwards, the women return to Earth pregnant. Unfortunately, the space station where Sammy and Brune are meeting for this process comes under attack by giant deadly insectoid spider creatures that intend to plant egg sacks within host bodies. The two of them use an escape pod to evacuate the station, but their pod is sucked into a wormhole and ejected into an unknown territory where they must survive together. But Brune intends to get them back to their own world. Will he be able to do that? And when she is pregnant, will she still want to return to Earth and leave her pirate behind?
I really enjoyed the stories in this series. There is always a touch of humor to keep me smiling. And meeting Brune’s “parrot” was quite an experience! Grab your copy and enjoy reading about their adventure together and see where it takes them.
This is the 4th and final installment in this series. We finish with Brune and Sammy. They went through a Wormhole in the previous books, and they crash landed on a planet. They are found by the planets occupants, and they claim Sammy is their savior. She has been foretold by their elders to come and save them and their future from the beings who overtook their city. For their overall story, it was good. No angst or third act break up. It is intalove and fated mates. It had a very simple storyline, the world building is good, and it's fast-paced. For the connection to the series, it connects at the end. I did feel it was very rushed. The series ended too easily.
Spoilers below
The Yuris (the spider aliens) were just defeated when they returned back through the worm hole. They met up with the other 3 women and alien mates and moved into houses beside each other. I do wish that they were involved more in the defeat of the Yuris.
3.5 - 4 stars I enjoy sci fi romance as anything goes.
Earth women who want babies find aliens to help them fulfill their goal only they find love along the way. The women find new worlds—the men find mates entering into arrangements that they never thought they would find.
There is action as wars break out and tension as these women navigate their newfound lives. Emotions run high as they confront their circumstances, dealing with the conflicting feelings of fear, hope, and longing. The presence of strong alpha males adds another layer, as they vie for the attention of these Earth women, leading to moments of romance and interesting encounters.
Amidst the challenges, there’s also an undercurrent of playful interactions, as the women learn to assert their own identities and desires in this strange new world. Overall, it’s a captivating blend of love, action, and adventure that keeps you engaged from beginning to end.
Xilan males needed Earth women for Slaking. In return, Earth women would get children. For Sammy and her friends, that was wonderful. They wanted a child. Now, all of Sammy's friends had been chosen. Right before it was time for her to go in and meet the warriors, she panicked. She went to the bathroom, to calm her nerves. Next thing she knows, giant spiders attacked the space station. She ran and found a place to hide. There was a tap on the door. Spiders don't knock. When she eased the door there stood a crow about the size of a chicken, with purple. Right behind the bird comes a warrior wearing high black boots, tight black pants, black straps, and weapons everywhere. Did someone say, pirate? He found Christoff and her. His name is Brune. More fun, adventure, and suspense. Guaranteed HEA!!!

Loved this series but this Alien Romance story kept me up late at night reading till the end. This delightful story is about Brune a Pirate Xilan and Sammy a human who signed up to be slaked so she can have a child. This starts like the first book where the spiders have overtaken the space station where the matching begins. Sammy having to use the restroom, finds herself running for her life and not wanting to be caught by the spiders who want to plant eggs into her is regretting her decision. She found a place to hide in the cleaning supply closet. She is found by an alien parrot and Brune. Fighting and evading the spiders they get into a pod which their adventure begins. This Arr Matey story with its very likable characters, tongue in cheek humor, and steamy romance is in a very engaging storyline that was a pleasure to read and to volunteer to review via Booksprout.
Alien Pirate’s Plunder by Ava Ross is #4 of Fated Mates of the Xilan Warriors, this is Sammy and Brunes story. This is the fourth couple’s story of the humans who go to space station to get pregnant by Xilan Warriors. Each story is based on the spiders attacking the space station so they can be read as a standalone but are much more fun read in order. Ava Ross has created an entertaining story of adventure, hot chemistry, humor and finding their HEA. This is the last story in this series, so we meet up with the other couples to end things. This was a sexy pirate with his own alien parrot, a strong woman with a loving heart who are made for each other. As a fan of Ava Ross this was an enjoyable read, I am looking forward to her next adventure that she takes us on!
Sammy and some of her Earth friends travel to a space station to spend a week with an Xilan (Alien) help them with their slaking, and get pregnant. Everything looks great when they meet their huge aliens when the station is attacked by giant spider aliens want to plant egg sacks in the female's bodies. Brune, a pirate, happens to run into Sammy trying to escape from the spiders. They get sucked into a wormhole and start their journey on a planet with new aliens, robots, save children and fall in love with each other. You couldn't ask for more. This was a sexy adventure that was a lot of fun. Highly recommend this book and this series.

Sammy and Brune have the most unusual meeting compared to the other couples in this series. The Yuris attacked the space station before they could meet properly. They meet as they are both trying to evade the Yuris. Brune knows Sammy is his mate immediately, and claims her. They escape in a pod, end up going into a wormhole, and land on the Areskar’s home planet. Sammy and Brune, with Brune’s crazy smart , and very funny, bird Christoff, face all kinds of new adventures and threats. They are a team of three, and they help the Areskars fight an enemy to regain their future. Both of them had horrible childhoods, and they share their pasts with compassion and understanding. Luckily, they both want that HEA, and work really hard for it! This was a great conclusion to the series!
I don't even know where to begin! From the first word of the first book of this series I have been hooked, it is that good. With every hero and heroine I've thought that's it it can't get better only to be proven wrong in the next book. I honestly don't think heroes come better than Brune! He is a Pirate with a heart that is pure gold. He is so loving and caring you just want to tuck him in your pocket to keep him with you always. And he is so sexy! Then there is Sammy who is another injured soul with an incredibly beautiful heart. Their sexy times are hot without being over the top and in your face. This book gave me all the feels and left me sighing in happiness.
I absolutely loved this series and this book being the final one, was brilliant. Bringing it all together and all four friends were able to live together with their Xilan alien mates and their future offspring. In this story we had Brune & Sammy’s adventure on a new planet that had an alien race who saw Sammy as a human female as their saviour and they needed her to save their future. What follows is lots of action and a fight to save the future of the Areskar race. There is a happily ever after when everyone is reunited again.

There truly isn't anything better than a slaking Xilan, am I right?! Women worshipping aliens with all the right material in all the right places plus extras, oh yes please!! The story itself is hot and full of adventure, both in and out of bed. Ross definitely knows which buttons to push to keep us salivating and page-turning for more. I loved Sammy's can-do attitude, it was refreshing and cheer-worthy; and Brune, well, he was just wonderfully resourceful and thoughtful. The plot did have a bit going on but one did not get lost because it was well presented and flowed nicely; it all worked well together to become this book. A great read in my books.
Sammy and Brune escape the space station, in an escape pod only to crash land on a planet where the natives think Sammy is their savior. They need their help, before they can Shake and try to return to their people. Brune knows Sammy is his mate, but will she want to stay with him? The more Sammy is with Brune, the more she feels for him and wonders what can happen when his Slaking is over. Can't say that these store are alike, cause they aren't. Loved the storyline and the characters. Lots of action and adventure, I really enjoyed it.

Brune and Sammy’s story is engaging. A Xilan pirate and an earthling travel through a wormhole and encounter the Areskars. They believe Sammy is to be their savior and give them back their future. Brune and Sammy decide they must help the Areskars before they can determine what their own future will be. Together they will defeat the robots who invaded the world they have arrived at while fleeing the space station attacked by the Yuris. Read this book to find out if Sammy will find her way back to her friends and gain the child she wants to have.
I love to read Ava Ross’s work! She writes a great story and this series was excellent. In fact I recommend all her work. This series tugged at my heart strings…earth women want children and aliens need females to curb their reproductive needs, but with this book both main characters were abandoned as children. They both are able to completely each other as only a true mate can. They embark on a great adventure being chased by spider aliens only to find themselves on a alien planet filled with dangers. Excellent read❤️❤️
This is the last book of the girlfriends who went to the space station to get pregnant by the Xilan warriors. Sammy is trying to escape the huge spiders who attacked the space station and her mate, Brune, finds her with his bird. I enjoyed the bird having his own mind and being a protector. Add in another race and you have a really good story. Also there's mystery and hot romance. I am happy there was an epilog to help end the book. Worth reading!
