Looking at the cover, you may expect this to be a sort of overly-sweet, extended Mother's Day card, but you'd be in for a nice surprise. Each page features an amusing or adorable photo of an animal (except for that one very concerning shot of a pig with multiple piercings...) along with an ambling look into the life of mothers and families, in turns comical and emotional.
I gave this to my mom when I was young, and she just regifted it to me as I start my own journey as a mom. I thought the pictures were cute, or incredible, but the message was more comical than emotional. I must have not read through it or was just too young to understand!
Though this book is not school friendly, it is informational with great humor. If you love looking at animals and baby animals, it does have wonderful pictures! I would read it first before reading it to a child to make sure that you are comfortable with answering questions that this book may bring up.
Fun and with great photos - but not his best. I couldn't give this book to my mom because of the mild profanity. :( Bummer. His Blue Day Book and Looking For Mr. Right are his best. Fun coffee table lit.

I have loved other Bradley Trevor Greive books. This one didn't resonate with me in the same way. Perhaps because I'm not a mother? Perhaps because he isn't?
