Ich war einmal auf einer Lesung von Gaby Hauptmann und habe sie sehr kompetent und auf zack erlebt.
"Die Meute der Erben" war ein Bestseller. Jedenfalls sagt das der Aufkleber auf dem Buch.
Die ersten 200 Seiten sind eine lange öde Einleitung, erst dann beginnt die Geschichte wirklich. Obwohl die Handlung so schwach ist, dass man davon kaum sprechen kann.
Es gibt auch keinen Clou, der dieses lahme Werk noch aufpeppt.
Anno Adelmann kann seine Kinder nicht leiden, weil er sie durch seine spiessige Erziehung vermurxt hat. Seine Kinder können ihnn auch nicht leiden. Die alleinerziehende junge Ina will Geld. Also heiratet der alte Mann sie, um es seinen Kindern nochmal zu zeigen.
Das Buch hat keinen Spannungsbogen und keinen Humor. Alle Personen sind unsympathisch. Dass eine Nebenfigur stirbt, ist der Höhepunkt der Handlung.
Wie kann so ein ödes Buch ein Bestseller werden???
Vollkommen humorfrei.
Man muss sich durchquälen.

Theres a lot of like misogyny and hatred within family. The boomer joke with “i hate my wife”. Very strong in this one. All 4 siblings are insufferable, hate their husbands and the husbands also dont like their wives. Crazy ending everyone getting involved in murder.
wouldnt read again since in the end nothing really changed.

War enttäuscht, da die Handlung und die Charaktere ziemlich klischeehaft sind und die Auflösung nicht meine war. Habe mehr erwartet, wahrscheinlich aber weil es mir soo empfohlen wurde.

I thought this was a good story. I couldn't get over just how selfish the daughters were the whole way through the novel. All they cared about was how much money they would each get when their father died and when he wanted to remarry they tried every thing they could to prevent it. Including trying to make a judge think that their father was no longer capable of making his own decison. It was sort of sickening really. They weren't happy for him or anything they would have rather seen him live out his last days in a small cell with padded walls then see him be happy. All so they would get a straight 25% of his inheritance instead of spliting half between the four of them.

The only thing that I would say was weak about the story or that I didn't enjoy was the ending. They let the sisters off everything. Sure they had evidence and shit to condemn them if they ever tried to do anything again but still they just let them walk away! After all that they did and were trying to do. We are not talking about stealing shit from the house were talking trying to commit murder for personal gain. I dunno I just think the end ended to abruptly. But it was still an enjoyable book]

Adorei sem dúvida o livro, confesso que as primeiras 50 páginas tinham-me desmotivado, eram verdadeiramente aborrecidas mas à medida que fui lendo fui-me interessando mais pela história. Aconselho este livro a todos que querem seguir direito ou que têm algum interesse pelo tema.
O livro conta-nos a história de Anno, um velho de 85 anos rico como diz o livro. Anno tem quatro filhas e está convencido que elas, como a família, apenas querem herdar. Anno para irritar a família casa com Inna para lhe dar parte da herança. Os dois vieram a descobrir que a família é mais louca por dinheiro do que eles esperavam e é capaz de cometer um ato de assassinato até! A companheira de Anno também tem as suas intrigas, ela antes de casar com este era pobre e tinha constantemente dificuldades financeiras. Inna está apaixonada por Cláudio, o que será que vai acontecer em relação a isso? Será que continuará casada com Anno? Ela própria terá uma surpresa à sua espera, algo que levou a família de Anno a loucura, algo muito grandioso.

Leichte Unterhaltung, nicht mehr und nicht weniger. Die Story ist voller Klischees und recht vorhersehbar. Die Charaktere sind derart überzeichnet, dass es stellenweise nervig ist. Besonders unglaubwürdig: Patriarch Anno, der seinen Töchtern jahrzehntelang das Leben schwer gemacht hat und auf seine alten Tage zum lieben laissez-faire Opi wird. Trotzdem ganz gut geschrieben und insgesamt ganz nett zu lesen, wenn einen die ganzen Klischees nicht zu sehr aufregen.

Irgendwie eine nette und lustige, wenn auch arg seichte Geschichte.
Am Ende blieb das Gefühl von zu viel: zu viele Ideen, zu viel abstruse Handlung, zu viel Zufall, zu viele Beziehungskisten, zu viele glückliche Fügungen,...
