When you lose interest in a possession, you get rid of it. As I become bored of stalking innocent Rae, I decide to end her life.
But then she shows me the truth: underneath that good girl disguise lies a deviant little monster.
She reminds me of myself.
I wear a mask to hide who I am; Rae hides behind a normal façade every single day. She’s capable of so much more than she realizes, and that potential intrigues me.
A new challenge falls into place.
Can I make this girl hurt others like me? Yearn for blood like me? Kill like me?
I won’t stop until I find out. As long as my girl amuses me, I’ll let her live.
And when she no longer interests me, I’ll discard her.

Reread. disgusting, disturbing and one of my favorite horror erotica books. hard to put down, so easy to get invested in. 5 🤢's

Got this for review on booksirens This year I've started to explore a new genra of horror. Horror Erotica. And I was very intruiged to pick this one up. This is easily one of the most fucked up, disturbing and taboo books I've read this year. It made me so uncomfortable and disgusted but somehow a clear 5 star. I would recommend this to people who loves disturbing horror like extreme horror but while this genre is called horror Erotica I would not recommend it for Erotica and dark romance readers as there isn't anything romantic about it or even sexy. More disturbing and horrendous but a very good read.
“I want to spit in her mouth. On her face. In her pussy. I want to cover her in my jizz and spit and slime and piss and mucus until she’s unrecognizable. Until all I see is me. Until she finally looks in the mirror and sees herself for the very first time. One day, she’ll accept that we’re nothing without each other. I will too.”
And they say romance is dead
The mentally ill gurlies will love this book (I enjoyed this book way more than I should have)
Wow. I am used to reading pretty messed up books from time to time and this book has made it to somewhere in the top of that list. This might have been the most taboo book I've read. I was hooked from the start, I just couldn't put it down. The characters, the depravity, the nastiness, the taboo, the horror, the plot twists. Parts of it made me feel very, very uncomfortable and disgusted. Even though I read the triggers, it still blew my mind and I had to put the book down a time or two. It's very dark and disturbing, but by no definition a dark romance. Please keep that in mind. This is horror erotica. No romance to be found in here. This book will make you question your morals for reading it.
This was my first read by Audrey Rush and I'm shooketh. I found out through this book, that I actually do have a trigger 😂 It made me gag IRL. Ive been going back and forth about how to rate this book. It made me feel disgusting, which means the writing did something to me. I like that. That one trigger though, made it hard for me to give it 5 stars. So the end rating for me is 4 stars. I’m not doing a spice rating for this one. For anyone diving in: good luck and may the odds be ever in your favor 😜💀
I'm not going to waste my time here with a review for a book I wasn't impressed with at all,I found the storyline somewhat boring and felt it was going nowhere and down hill fast, the characters where all so incredibly dull and at times I was totally confused with them all.It also seemed repetitive which drove me mad..."My Girl" wasn't for me and I didn't enjoy it as much as I thought I was going to...Only 2 Dull stars from me ⭐⭐The only thing that's good about this book is the front cover!! 🩸
So, yeah. Audrey Rush. Tsk tsk tsk. You sick woman you.
This is my second Audrey Rush novel. Child…this woman knows how to write the creepiest most dangerous men I’ve ever read. There are literally moments where I sit there and cringe because my mind has just been blown away by what I’ve read.
This is TRIGGER HEAVY and as many of the other reviewers have stated this is NOT a dark romance. Romance?!?! Throw that out the window and forget about it.
Now that that’s out of the way let’s move onto the book itself….
You’ve got Raeven, a wild twenty something running around Vegas, who uses sex and manipulation to rob wealthy and unsuspecting men . Because karma isn’t so nice, she ends up losing her job after being found on camera stealing from one of her marks. During an argument fueled by disappointment from her mother she ends up finding out due to a Freudian slip the name of her father and that he murdered his wife and committed suicide. So, mostly to piss her mother off she heads to the town of Pahrump to learn more about her father’s death.
Little does she know, she’s been stalked for years by a man named Crave who wears a latex gummi zipper mask to conceal his identity. Crave is demented, depraved, and an extremely violent sadomasochist. He’s been wanting and waiting to murder Raeven patiently for years.
To prove a point both to himself and to Raeven, he takes his obsession to another level, and he follows her to Pahrump where the downward spiral truly begins.
Dnf’ed this piece of garbage. Authors who have “I write kinky dark romance” in their bio, are always the ones who never deliver actual kinky dark romance. Let’s see how this applies here. The writing is giving Wattpad era.🤘🏻
I‘m sick and tired of authors creating literal rapists as the love interest. (Til the point I read I’m not even talking about the FMC). Sorry that you need some serious help but don’t push that disgusting fantasy of loving a rapist onto us.🙄
“There's a bitter aftertaste to her, a primal rejection written into our blood so that we don't fuck each other. But I've never liked sweet things" -Crave, page 232
This should have never been written, and I say this with absolute malice. I get kinks, have your kinks whatever idc, but this is not kink. This is biological dad and daughter fucking each other for 250 pages. This book is the weirdest, joker ass response to incest, that being "incest bad, because society".
Here is an idolized list of all of this book's war crimes so you dont have to read it:
1. Dumb female mc 2. Choppy writing filled with both 2-4 word long sentences and run ons 3. Multiple inconsistencies regarding crime, and serial killers 4. Details from the Hall suicide-murders(the main plot) not being clearly stated in the beginning 5. The recreation of a murder scene with plans to not only make this a yearly event, but to also monetize it. 6. The missing kinks and trigger warnings 7. The fact that Crave is written to have been watching Raven since she was born 8. The many examples of mcs having UTIs (The female mc has to be Deadpool at this point with how many times she clearly shows signs of having a UTI/does something that WILL give you a UTI without fail) 9. Inconsistent character motivations 10. The added detail of both mcs hearing voices in their heads (cringe) 11. Penny 12. No one fact checking Raven’s fake ass podcast 13. Playing devil’s advocate for murderers and serial killers 14. The fact that the word “jizz” is used twice in this book 15. Blaming society for making incest bad? 16. the quote..... 17. The fact that neither main character died at the end

Absolutely NO THANK YOU If I ever see this book getting recommended on booktok again I’m immediately blocking you. Everything about it was fucking rank and made me want to gouge my eyes out. If Satan himself asked me for a book recommendation, this is the book I’d give to him, and even then I worry it would still be to gross
A deeply dark piece of erotic horror describing the strange, passionate but depraved relationship between Rae, a 'not-so-nice' lady who seeks out the identity of her real father, and Crave, a raping, torturing psychopath who kills, not for the sex, but for control, power and absolute domination over his unfortunate victims.
A strong storyline with a good mysterious element attached to it that is peppered with explicit sexual activity, physical abuse and violent brutality throughout. Although hard to believe at times, I did particularly enjoyed the flashbacks to the killers early years and the eventual outcome to the whole sorry saga. On the downside I did think that the sex scenes were at times OTT, overdone and not really necessary to the point of almost becoming repetitive and somewhat of a chore, which seemed to detract slightly from lots of the good ideas and healthy narrative that made up the whole 'My Girl' experience.
A good story that would most certainly have benefitted by a toning down of the regular instantaneous sexual practices and maybe a bit more of Rea's good girl/bad girl chaotic back story and lifestyle before ending her long, murderous journey on the road to achieving closure and her race to the very bottom.
For fans of this particular type of dark genre only, but trigger warnings are clearly given by the author from the outset. Proceed with caution.
Enjoyed it, with some great elements - although also a 'bit much', with a feeling of all being a 'bit much' simply for being deliberately a 'bit much' sake and, as anticipated and expected, slightly far-fetched in the extreme sexual fantasy department.
Rating: 3.5 black stars of pure carnal, very 'adult' murderous depravity.
My Girl: An Erotic Horror Novel by Audrey Rush was entertaining. At first, I almost stopped reading. There was a lot of gratuitous violence with no compelling plot early in the book, in my opinion. Then the story evolved, and after more than fifty percent of the book, I started to enjoy it. My interest in this vile story intensified until the end. I recommend it, if you are looking for a brutal and depraved story between two disturbed individuals.
For a erotic horror book, this is an A+. It was so good at making me squirm and gag. The shock value was high on this one and had my eyes bulging out of my head half of the book.
This is not for the faint of heart at all and if you by chance decide to read this PLEASE READ TRIGGER WARNINGS
holy shit, this book is so fucked up, let me tell you, some scenes in the book made me feel so uncomfortable, this is not a romance, the plot twists are so wow
Please, please, check the Trigger Warning before reading this book
I like extreme horror, and I like taboo romance- this book is a mix of the two. Unfortunately, it didn’t work for me, and I found the “twist” (which isn’t hard to guess) to be disgusting. There are some lengths you shouldn’t go and this one went beyond them. YUCK. I also found the characters to be extremely dull and their interactions with one another left something to be desired especially at the end. I felt nothing but disgust. So why give it two stars? Firstly, I finished the book. I wanted to see what would happen and my curiosity got the better of me. Not only that, I think this COULD have been a good erotic horror if the author took it in another direction- the way she went was completely unnecessary IMO.
Would I recommend it? No. But if you want to push your own limits and like both extreme horror and extreme taboo with all the trigger warnings then you may like it.
My Girl, by Audrey Rush, is seriously nasty. I usually pick books based on the cover and go in blind. I know that’s dumb but I’m an esthetic person, so be it.
Fortunately I don’t have a whole lotta triggers so I was able to power through the book but felt a little damaged after. Like, seriously, methinks therapy is in order. I’m not gonna summarize the book because I don’t care to relive it. But if you’re bored by dark romance, My Girl just might be your jam.
I knew Audrey was depraved after reading her novella, Skin, but figured I’d give one of her longer books a shot. Well, she serves up erotic horror like a true degenerate, no matter the format.
Kudos to Audrey Rush on this one, she really knows how to write perverted psychopaths.
Fucking hell this was some crazy shit There’s a lot to unpack here bcs wtf did i just read? Ngl it was starting to make me laugh bcs it was ridiculous and unhinged at the same time “Horror” bitch where? I was laughing the whole time also ngl the book was boring asf
Ooooo you gotta love a bit of erotic horror! Rae needs to prove her fathers innocence after his death and the death of her mother was classed as a Murder, suicide. Her father killer her mother and then ended his own life. Rae does not think that sits quite right and is determined to prove her fathers innocence. But the only way to do that is go after the one person who can possibly help her prove her father was murdered along side her mother. That just happens to be the masked serial killer. Possession, obsession, sex, murder, you never really know what a person is capable of and just how far they will go in their world of evil.
Oh, Audrey. This was a fucking MASTERPIECE. Horror filled, some things made me a little gaggy, some scenes made me wet 😏 My man in the mask had me hot and bothered.
Nowwwwwww the plot twist 🤯🤯🤯 LITERALLY. Floored.
Audrey once again absolutely slays an erotic horror. You, Madame, are you a fucking creative genius.
✋🏻😔 What the fuck did I just read. The only good thing about this book was the cover.
Writing was repetitive. The characters are dull. The story line was boring. The book could have been 2.5 stars but The twist they threw in at the end really sealed the deal for a 1 star rating.
IM ACTUALLY SO MAD I WAS SO EXCITED FOR THIS BOOK 😭
A month later and I am still so mad at this book 😅🤣
Most importantly - this is NOT a dark romance. It is an erotic horror. If you have triggers, read the warnings and take them seriously.
Rae and Crave.
Now.. that was one of the most depraved, nasty, and disgusting things I have ever read. And I ATE IT UP 🤣. There are bits that will definitely make you uncomfortable, and honestly taboo isn't a strong enough word for this. But it is an amazing read 🙏🏼
I couldn't have stopped even if I wanted to 🤣
This is my first Audrey Rush book, and you bet your ass I'll be going back and reading everything else she has published and will be waiting impatiently like a kid on Christmas morning for everything that's to come... Give me all the fucked up, thank you ma'am 😉
Hot and Nasty, just what I want from an Erotic Horror Novel. It lost me a little in the middle, but really enjoyed the beginning and end and definitely gonna check out more of Audrey's work in the future.
