This made me realize that none of the Frankenstein movies I’ve watched are even close to to original story

I've read both Dracula and Frankenstein but never before with accompanying photographs of Lego scenes that depict the action. The prose is slightly abridged but I have to say I didn't notice anything missing and both stories seem perfectly complete. Normally I am staunchly opposed to reading abridged versions of anything but in this case a few paragraphs of the endless 'woe-is-me' rhetoric, especially in Frankenstein, is OK for such a book as this.

Of course the real attraction here is the Lego pictures. Much imagination was used to assemble over 1000 scenes from the stories and when limited to Lego bricks...well that must have been challenging. But I imagine the book's creators got a real kick out of doing it. I read the entire book but just having this one to look through the pictures is a real hoot.

Brick Dracula and Frankenstein: Two Classic Horror Tales Told in a Whole New Way is a creative new telling of these classic tales of horror. The original text of the novels are condensed and accompanied with brick illustrations. And for the most part the illustrators do a good job at capturing the scenes and creating customized pieces for the respective characters. However, there are times (especially in Dracula) where the pieces don't match the text descriptions. Also, the text can be a little difficult to read at times; either because of the writing style of the original text or the way it's been condensing. Still, minor quibbles aside, Brick Dracula and Frankenstein: Two Classic Horror Tales Told in a Whole New Way is an entertaining read that’s full of thrills.
