Breaching the Billionaire: Alethea's Redemption (Book 6 of the Legacy Collection)
Alethea is at a crossroad. For as long as she could remember, it was her and her best friend, Lil, against the world. Now that Lil has met Prince "I have my own helicopter" Charming and reconnected with her family, Alethea is on the outside looking in, justifying who she's always been to people who have never understood her. When she uncovers a looming threat to Lil's family, she's determined to save them, even after they tell her not to get involved and assign their best man to stop her.
Marc Stone has been watching Alethea ever since she waltzed through his security system and right into his late night fantasies. As a decorated Marine, he's seen war, but nothing could prepare him for this wild redhead. Strong. Beautiful. Flawed, and fiercely protective. Hard to love, and impossible to deny.
If she'll stop fighting him long enough, he'll show her just how perfect they are for each other. That is, if she doesn't get them both killed first.
Ruth Cardello hit the NYTs and USA Today for the first time back in 2012. Millions of sales are evidence that her books are akin to potato chips, addictive from the first one. She has created a multi-series billionaire world with a combination of escapism and realism that has gained her a faithful following of readers.
What Kindle Reviewers write about her:
"Wow hot at every page. Heart stoping, fear raging, mind blowing wonderful."
"I'm a true fan of Ms. Cardello. I ran on to her first book a few years back and have been hooked ever since. I could go on and on about the story like of this book, but I'm not. All of her books are total page turners, unique, heart wrenching, and I love them all. There isn't two alike in the bunch and I feel like i know the characters personally. I personally read 97 authors books. And I buy every book they put out. This author is in my top 10. Great job and keep them coming."
"Love this series. Got me to start reading again. I look forward to the next book. Thank you for giving me the love of reading back."
Ruth Cardello was born the youngest of 11 children in a small city in northern Rhode Island. She spent her young adult years moving as far away as she could from her large extended family. She lived in Boston, Paris, Orlando, New York--then came full circle and moved back to New England. She now happily lives one town over from the one she was born in. For her, family trumped the warmer weather and international scene.
She was an educator for 20 years, the last 11 as a kindergarten teacher. When her school district began cutting jobs, Ruth turned a serious eye toward her second love- writing and has never been happier. When she's not writing, you can find her chasing her children around her small farm or connecting with her readers online.

Breaching the Billionaire: Alethea’s Redemption is Book 6 in the Legacy Collection by Ruth Cardello, featuring a steamy romance for Alethea and Marc as well as a riveting suspense plot to tie up the series. Alethea has been a bit of an enigma—a little brash and seemingly selfish at times, but also willing to charge in with little regard for consequences if someone she cares about may be in danger. She was hard to continue to make excuses for at times in earlier books. But in this book, we learn more about why she worries so much, and I gained a new appreciation and empathy for her. I loved her tenacity and the way she kept fighting, even if no one believed her. The chemistry between Alethea and Marc was fiery, and they were definitely meant to be! The twists, turns, and action with the suspense plot kept me on the edge of my seat, and the camaraderie and found family vibe of the characters was still strong! This book had emotion, witty banter, spice, drama, suspense, and a lead in for a series of more Andrade relatives!
I received an ARC for free, and am leaving this review voluntarily.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Alethea has always been one of my favorite Ruth Cardello characters. Not because she's perfect. In fact she's anything but perfect. Her appeal is that she is not afraid to embrace those flaws even at her most vulnerable. Marc is the total opposite. Vulnerability is not something he strives for. Yet his heart has other plans. Breaching the Billionaire can be as prickly as it wants because underneath that bitterness lies a sweetheart of a story.
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ 💋💋💋 Awesome last book of the series, these characters are so addictive. Althea and Marc have a wonderful connection, he’s just what she needs . Onto the Andrade’s series now .
Ruth cardello is one of the author that made me appreciate indie authors. Some of her books may have been at times a hit or miss. But with the book, this was just a beautiful read. The characterization of Alethea is amazing. The writing is typically Ruth. I also loved the plot. The book came on full circle from its first book.
The story although centered on Alethea. Her character is seriously complex and messed up. At times, I just want to hug her. She's distrustful aof everything and everyone except her best friend Lil. She's also loyal to a fault. I also appreciated how the story also focused on family and relationships. People who've healed and how they've moved whether from their past mistakes to their present. Forgiveness, acceptance and trust was emphasized in the book. Definitely, this book is a keeper.
Bodyguards, Billionaire bunkers and brides… what more could you want?
So this is the final book in The Legacy Collection and I’m so glad that Marc Stone and Alethea have got their own story. Having read the Corisi Billionaires series first I already knew how their relationship ends up… but it’s been really good to see how it began.
If you haven’t already read the rest of the books in this series, I strongly suggest that you do because you need to know the complicated yet beautiful dynamics of this larger than life family.
We’ve had glimpses of Marc Stone in all the other books and as Dominic’s head of security that guy sure has his work cut out. Dominic certainly isn’t the easiest man to get along with, but once you show him your worth, your loyalty and your integrity - Dominic doesn’t just call you friend, he calls you family.
Ex-Marine Marc has earned and gained Dominic and his business partner, Jake Waltons respect. They hail him a hero but he doesn’t feel worthy of the title. The losses he suffered in battle still give him nightmares but having Dominic and Jake’s safety to focus on has filled his days with purpose. It just hasn’t filled his heart.
There is one woman who has stirred his interest but she is trouble with a capital T! Alethea Niarchos! With her athletic body, her flame red hair and her high-heeled shoes, she is every security teams worst nightmare. She makes a living from exposing flaws, holes and oversights. She’s the best at what she does. There’s not security system she can’t get around.
She’s Lil’s best friend but in the last book we saw that relationship begin to falter. Alethea’s constant paranoia and her persistent drive to test the safety and security issues many consider impenetrable, unnecessarily causes panic and family rifts. She doesn’t intend to cause problems, but when she sees a potential danger or a possible threat, she thinks nothing of exposing it - no matter what cost it could be to those involved.
The only person who seems to understand her worries and motives is someone who knows the implications of not being thorough when it comes to security. Marc. They have an instant and powerful attraction. And a passion that is as intense as it is undeniable - but Alethea struggles to allow herself to admit that she feels a connection to Marc. Sure she’s ridiculously attracted to him… who wouldn’t be… he’s got the body and the bravery of a Marine, and then his brain his as sharp as his wit. He’s perfect for Alethea but she can’t believe that someone could love her for who she is.
The only person who has ever appreciated her is Lil, but as she starts her new life with fiancé Jake, even that friendship is struggling because she can’t gel with Lil’s new family and friends. They don’t know her like Lil does, and all they see is someone obsessed with causing issues where there aren’t any and jumping in where she’s not needed. Now the rift between Lil’s friends and Alethea looks like it will pull them apart.
Except every time she’s jumped in recently to save one of Dominic’s friends recently, her hunches have been spot on. It’s not so much that she’s ever proven wrong, it’s more the fact that she goes the wrong way about proving it. She’s caused so many problems through her impulsive and reckless ways. She’s hurt people she loves… completely unintentionally but hurt nonetheless.
Only Marc can see that her aim isn’t to cause problems, it’s to highlight them and fix them. He’s the only one who sees that and sees the good in her. He believes in her and if it means winning her over by locking her up with him in his inescapable billionaire bunker and make her see that he wants her just the way she is, then that’s what he will do.
However, a serious issue within Corisi Enterprises servers cause concern particularly when catching the culprit and eliminating the threat is going to take more than code breaking and hacking. Marc knows the best team for the job is him and Alethea… neither are scared of risking their lives to save that of others, but now that they have each other, are they willing to risk what they have finally found.
This is a great end to the series. Really enjoyed Alethea and Marc’s story. We’ve been given the impression that Alethea is selfish and thinks of no one but herself but the more Marc opens her up, the more you realise that the opposite is true. She thinks of everyone else before herself - a quality Marc makes it his mission to show everyone else. He needs to make everyone see what he sees. His love for her is so strong that he will do anything he can to be with her and be the man for her. It’s just whether she will let him.
Great series… and it links with other equally fantastic series. (The Corisi Billionaires and The Lost Corisi’s and also The Andrades). I’ve already read the Corisi ones… now to start on the Andrades. If they are anything like the Corisi’s, Romano’s and the alphas in this legacy series… I’m going to love them.
Alethea Niarchos is a rebel, a maverick and a loner. She needs to be in control always and is paranoid about the safety of the few people she loves. Marc Stone, Corisi's head of security, is so taken by Alethea that he can't get her off his mind. Now he and Alethea along with Jake, Dom, Jeremy and Stephan have to figure out who is trying to destroy one of them. Aletheas's gut is a constant source of where to look for answers. The biggest problem she has is that she imparts her suspicions to Abby, Nicole, Marie and Lil. As a result, the women are furious and refuse to listen to her ruminations. When the situation turns deadly, Alethea is the one that saves the day. Those who surround her finally realize that she really isn't just blowing smoke and she redeems herself. Marc and she find common ground because he believes her and believes in her. Falling in love was the last thing on her mind but Marc is the only.man she trust with her heart
All the books in this series are standalone with an HEA but they are connected and more enjoyable if you read them in order. For this book it's important that you read the one right before it first.
No one except Lil likes Alethea, for good reason. She is intense, always looking for threats and trouble. After the last book I didn't like her either. In this book we get to see why she does what she does. She missed an important threat when she was young and she's still trying to make up for it. Marc is the head of security and is attracted to her. He is also the person who must rein her in when everyone gets tired of her behavior.
There is heat but more importantly there is respect. Marc may be the only person who can understand her. He won't let her push him away and isolate herself. Or risk her life alone when a real threat happens. I am glad that even Alethea could be redeemed.
I really didn't like Alethea in the last book, and couldn't imagine what the author could do to make her more likable.
I read and listened to this book. It was entertaining, but the entertainment came mostly from the guys and their relationships with each other. The situation Alethea discovered and was trying to solve waa also interesting. I didn't care much for the narration. It didn't add anything to the book.
I still didn't care much for her character because she was so angry and defensive all of the time. I did admire her security talents, and her intelligence. I was happy that Marc had her back. It was sad that she felt so awkward and ostracized from everyone. It was nice when all of that was resolved.
A book with romance, intrigue, mystery, and some heat.
This book is Breaching The Billionaire: Alethea’s Redemption, book 6 of the Legacy Collection, written by Ruth Cardello. All of the books in this collection so far have been wonderful. It’s really hard to pick a favorite and each one is unique. This book is about Alethea, who has been Lil’s best friend for years. They have recently grown apart and are unsure of the future of their friendship. Then Marc is assigned to keep watch over Alethea and keep her out of trouble....Of course there is trouble. There is trouble in every book. This one keeps the trouble a bit edgy. Loved it!
This series has been thoroughly enjoyable and this book has been no exception how can you not love Alethea she is bold courageous feisty and beautiful and truly cares about her friends and their welfare. She is misunderstood simply because few get that she genuinely cares so much she is impulsive but gets these gut feelings and has to act upon them. Marc is a tough guy with a very loving heart and he is perfect for Alethea he can tame her wild side but loves her for who she is together they make the perfect team. A really sensitive loving novel with quite a lot of excitement thrown in a great read.
I liked this book for the insane insta-chemistry between the two characters & the world building of the whole series.
Mark is a war hero veteran who is in charge of Dominic’s security. He was embarrassed that Alethea was able to sneak through his defense. But he admired her attention to detail despite the embarrassment.
Alethea is on the outs from her friend Lily and Lily’s new found family because of her harsh & sometimes unrelenting personality and the hurtful things she has said beforehand. Alethea is still incredibly paranoid and always has to test the security of her friends.
Their attraction to each other as great to read about and made for a very interesting storyline.
I loved this book. Wasn’t sure I’d like Alethea’s story due to what happened in prior book, but it turns out she’s just so protective of those she loves. Loved how quickly Marc falls for her and what a great team they made. I didn’t expect to cry but did a couple of times. Loved staying on edge too, was Stephen still out to get Dominic? Loved getting multiple points of view from prior characters too. Really loved the ending and I highly recommend each book in this series.
Alethea's protective side takes some getting use to but when something happens at the office that isn't right, she is determined to keep everyone safe rather they like it or not. When the facts looked like one of them was the enemy she was determined either way to find the truth, but the other women thought she was just making trouble. One day she found out that marc actually believed in her and was determined to show her that she can trust and let the guard down and still be the person she is.
Althea is trouble with a capital T! Her past, that she doesn’t share with ANYONE makes her hyper aware of security or the lack there of and that often gets her into trouble. Marc actually sees that something is off and there might just be more going on in her life that anyone knows. He patiently works to get her to open up and gets her to see that it isn’t an “her against them” mentality. As the two of them work together to solve the issues that arise a beautiful love story emerges and balances each other out! Great read!
Out of the 6 books in this series, besides the first book, Maid for the Billionaire, this was my fav. I enjoy this read. Not to much angst, but some action and twist that kept me engaged. I liked all the men in the series, and I have enjoyed all the different stories. Aletha is a tough girl to like but she is fiercely loyal and will do anything for those she loves. She found a good partner in Marc and I was glad to see her get her HEA
Everyone deserves Happy ending................ this seems to be true by reading this book .. n its really amazing to read about Alethea n Marc ........ since from starting of the series i knew she is going to be one of amazing character..... i really loved the way how she is loyal to the one to whom she love....... loved reading it :-):-)
3 books in 1, who wouldn't love this. First we see Alethea and Marc and get the back story on why she is so over protective. The second story is where Nicole and Dominic are really able to put the past behind them. Then the icing on the cake is Julia and Gio. Three steamy stories in one
Breaching the Billionaire: A!area's Redemption (Book 6) ,(Legacy Collection)
The love story of Gio and Julie. Julie come to N.Y. to sell her jewel line and while she is waiting for a break she meets and falls in love with Gio. Gio is an uptight rich guy. He does not know how to love, can Julie teach him? Great love story.
Alethea has been Lily's best friend for years but her relationship with the rest of the group of friends is a bit strained. Can everyone accept her for who she is without trying to change her? Marc is Dominic 's head of security and has been keeping an eye on Alethea since she managed to get past his security systems and attend one of Dominic parties
This one had it all a threat of bad, blushing new love, babies, weddings, engagements. The good guy and gal rushing in to save the day. I love how the characters continue like real life friends continue to be in each other’s lives. Great story telling technique.
To a super saga the story of Marc and Lil’s best friend , Alethea who finally meets her match. All the characters are present from all the previous books and the danger still lurks out there. You have to settle down and read this saga from Book 1 it is highly recommended I vote for 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ all the way!
Loved this book about Alethea and Mark! The Corisi Family friends and security experts help to keep everyone safe but it almost costs them their friendship. Lots of romance, hurt feelings, and a big threat makes this story really great. Carrillo did it again !
