I love my dad because I peed all over his shirt while he read this to me but he still finished the book with me.
4/5 stars because there could have been more character development or twists in the story.
Also, the little lion character reminded me of my tabby cat, Benny.

Shout out to all the dads in North Las Vegas. Not only are you raising your kids but you are doing so in the desert waste gangland of North Las Vegas. Hats off to you. I would have left after the first stabbing but you guys keep hanging in there. God Bless! September 20, 2023This book is about a baby bear with his daddy bear. Daddy bear helps baby bear through his childhood grow and learn the things he will need to become a big bear. Every time his dad helped him with something and would treat him with happiness and kindness he would think about how much he loved his dad.
This is my book I am choosing to read in class to my group. I picked it because it had a good message of how someone who helps you in your life in a positive way can have an even more positive impact. In this book, it was his father who helped him, but for any child it could by anyone who treats them with kindness and love, they will reciprocate that back.

I can’t remember if Jack got this book from someone from Australia or if it came secondhand from family at his baby shower or first birthday.
Regardless, he pulled it off the shelf tonight and asked me to read it before bed, so we did. He enjoyed the bears and their adventures. I loved that they are bears, because we call him Bear, and the message that dads should support and encourage their little kids because they always look up to their dads.

This sweet story is about a baby cub going on an adventure with Daddy Bear. Little bear often tells daddy bear he loves him throughout the book, which I think is one of the things I love most about this book. This book also briefly discusses hibernation, which could introduce a new conversation with the little ones. Illustrations are nice and this book makes the perfect Father's day gift.

This story was so cute and so were the illustrations in the book. This book reminded me of growing up and how it felt when you realized you were able to things that you were not able to do because you were too young. It was so cute and would be a great story to read to children for bedtime. maybe this story will help children realize what they're capable of.

This book was adorable. Lovely illustrations and sweet story. Even though it doesn't talk about Father's Day I think it would be a great book for Father's Day or a book about family (father and son relationship). This edition of the book also came with 2 adorable cards with bears on them and also came with envelopes so you can write and give a card to your dad or whoever. Precious.

This is a lovely tell about a baby bear learning from his dad about how to survive as an adult bear. His dad encouraged him to explore, find food, seek out shelter exc. Dad bear made every experience positive and loving. After every adventure baby bear says, "I love you dad".

If you took a shot everytime you see Daddy Bear or Little Bear, you'd be plastered by the end of this short book. I feel like half of the "said Daddy Bear...said Little Bear" are unnecessary.

I Love You. Daddy, written by Jillian Harker and illustrated by Kristina Stephenson, is a story about a little bear and his dad. The dad believe that his son is ready for more grown-up adventures such as climbing trees, gathering honey, and finding a den. However, Little Bear isn't so sure about all these new responsibilities. He doesn't think he is quite ready to do them by himself. Luckily, his dad is there along the way to offer support and guidance.
There are multiple themes in I love you, Daddy, just like there is in most books, however, the one that stands out the most to me is courage. There is a common trend throughout this book; Daddy Bear hints at Little Bear that he can do a tasks such as climb a tree, but Little Bear doesn't think he can. This is when Daddy Bear gives him a little nudge and then will whisper some words of encouragement such as "You can do it!" These three simple words are what give Little Bear the courage to achieve the goals that his father has set up for him. When little kids read this book with their dad's, they can see that even animals sometimes need a little courage in order to do something that they are unsure about-just like little kids do.
I think the personification in this book is what makes it so enjoyable to the readers. The author could have easily told the story from somebody watching these two bears interact but instead is was told from the first point of view from the Little Bear. I love that Jillian Harker talks about the bears smiling and having to look for a home because little kids can relate to that. Giving the bears human-like qualities makes it seem more real. I think having the bears talk to each other shows the important relationship between the father and child even more. When little bear says, "Was I brave?" is something a little child would ask.
