An entertaining tale, even though some of the heroines reasoning seemed feckless and her decision making extremely flawed. Still an enjoyable read and well worth the purchase.

Little wonder I prefer romantic suspense these days. Action packed and angst filled from page one.

Former Special Op Quinn Hamilton is big, black, beautiful and deadly. For three years he believed the love of his life, ex-CIA Alandra Pargas had died in his arms during an op gone wrong but when she suddenly shows up on his doorstep he’s deeply shocked. She’s alive! Where’s she been? Who’s she been with? Why the subterfuge? Why didn’t she come back to him sooner? Her answers are suspect and Quinn finds himself sifting through the lies, the deception, an unknown enemy and what he begins to perceive as his wife’s betrayal. Whatever it takes he will get to the bottom of it even while he fights the attraction that has grown more powerful over the years they’ve been apart.

Ah Quinn. My kinda hero. On the outside a trained killer, he took no crap from anyone yet on the inside he was a mass of contradictions when faced with Alandra. He couldn’t seem to keep it together.

Alandra is a kick butt heroine. I really got into her, big time. I was worried the author was going to make her whine and beg instead she was given a shot of confidence and made a beeline for the door - twice. Yay.

Normally I don't worry about a few grammatical errors but it would be so easy to correct them wouldn't it? A couple of examples, 'gold mine not gold mind' 'moonlight shone not moonlight shined' ''she dug through her bag not she dugged'.

Loved the sensual tension and that the author resisted making this an all out sex fest.

***I received as a gift***

I loved this 18 chapter book. I said it once, and I’ll say it again, I’m a huge fan of Sharon C. Cooper. Her writing style manages to flow naturally with great description. She focuses on characterization, setting, dialogue, and plot to the point that readers can get lost in the story. I could see this book as a blockbuster hit.

My favorite lines: 1) It had been three long years. If she were still alive, she would have found some way to contact him. Wouldn’t she? 2) “I’m too old for this crap.” 3) He really did like Alandra, but she should have stayed dead.

Imagine being separated from someone you love because of something you can’t control. That’s what happened to Quinn. He thought his wife, Alandra, was dead. Imagine his frustration and relief to find out the truth. I thought his friends Malik and Wiz were nice additions to the story. They brought some comic relief.

The author did a great job of portraying sizzling sexual tension between Quinn and Alandra. A couple of scenes, I blushed. Alandra was a lucky woman! The author also managed to have suspenseful moments. The entire time I worried about all the characters’ safety. She had enough red herrings that will have readers guessing who’s after Alandra and who wants her dead. It was fun getting some insight from the bad guy (or woman).

There was a nice twist at the end.

I RECOMMEND this book to read.

Sharon C. Cooper writes like a pugilist fights. She sets you up with the jab. Steady. Rhythmic. Solid lefts jabs. And then all of a sudden. BAM! Sharon hits you with a right hook that seemingly comes out of nowhere. It surprises you. She did that with “Blue Roses” so I should have expected the same thing with “Rendezvous with Danger.”

Quinn Hamilton is an Ex-Special Operative. His wife, Alandra, is Ex-CIA. Their occupations prepped them mentally for lives of lies, darkness and deception. Eventually, their marriage suffers from their occupational hazards and becomes a relationship shrouded in uncertainty. Did Alandra really die in Quinn’s arms? If she did not, why does Quinn believe that she’s dead? Why would Alandra lead him to believe that?

Deception. Drama. Intrigue. “Rendezvous with Danger” has that and more. However, readers have to be ware from the onset. Sharon introduces the story, gives flowing details, creates jovial conversation between Quinn and his friends and then BAM! Jab. Jab. Jab. Right Hook!

This book exceeded all of my expectations. You name it, this book had it. Love, intrigue, betrayal, suspense, murder. Quinn the hero and Alandra the heroine were so great together. Talk about a love enduring through anguish and pain. A number of times I felt myself sliding to the floor ;

This book was worth the wall sliding, the passing out and all of the angst in between. There was some great muy caliente scenes between Quinn and Alandra. Just the description of Quinn alone had me coming undone *Le Sighs and Le Swoons*

I am looking forward to Malik and Natasha's story next. Excellent story by Author Sharon C. Cooper.

I read the first book in this series, Secret Rendezvous the prequel to Rendezvous with Danger and thoroughly enjoyed it. I purchased this book, not realizing its relation to the first, and was pleasantly surprised to be revisiting with Quinn and Alandra. I especially loved seeing the twist their love journey took, as well as how they worked through the obstacles of fear, trust and feelings of betrayal. She weaves a great story of suspenseful intrigue as this book reads like a movie in your head because of the vivid scenes Ms. Cooper draws with her words. This book is definitely a page-turner and emotionally packed as well! I look forward to reading her next book!

I started this book and after a few pages it hit me that I was hooked. I love it when that happens. I'm not a big romantic suspense fan, but this story was exciting, intriguing and drew me in quickly. By the end of the story I was rushing through pages to find out what happens because I was so drawn in to the story. I did wonder why Alandra didn’t ask more questions sooner, but when the revelation about why she stayed away from Quinn came out I understood her motives better. Great read and highly recommended.

Oh, and I love how Quinn was a bad ass at the end and took care of business. Love a strong male character!

I LOVED this book. It had a depth that most books lack and I'm not critical of urban fiction but I'm not a fan either. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this and was sad the book had to end. I'd like more of this type of books! Great job!

I loved Blue Roses and Secret Rendezvous but this book was even better than those two. The romance, the drama and the suspense were weaved so well. I couldn't put it down and kept trying to figure it out! Well done Mrs. Cooper.

Not a Happy Camper

Not a Happy Camper

Quinn and Alandra had a love that would have stood the test of time if it weren't for their jobs and crooked government officials. I'm happy that everything worked out for them, but I hated the ending.

Defying the odds Trent and Alandra

This story was everything. Government cover up. Black mail. Deceit. Love and loss. Revenge and renewal. Trent and Alandra went thru a lot and in the end what lied ahead was the craziest rollercoaster on could conjure up.

Another Winner

Ms. Cooper knows how to write/tell a story. Alpha male heroes and heroines who are strong without being bitchy. Took a minute to get to the 'punchline ' of the story but well worth the wait.

"Rendezvous with Danger" by Sharon C. Cooper

My Rationalization:

This is definitely one of those read with a little bit of it all from its intriguing, government cover-up, blackmail, love, loss, action, drama, suspense, twists & turns, deception, betrayal, murder, and fiery chemistry between these two Alandra and Quinn. Will this be one of those reads that these two will only 'experience what true love is after overcoming all its obstacles' as we follow Quin Hamilton an Ex-Special Operative and his wife Alandra, an Ex-CIA? The important question ... who was after Alandra wanting her dead?

Well, to find out what all is going on you will have to pick up this read to see how well this author brings it all out to the reader. If you are looking for a read that is definitely a page-turner where 'love endurance through anguish and pain,' you have come to the right place for "Rendezvous with Danger" will give it all to you.

Never cross former Navy Seals!

This was a very suspenseful romance novel that followed the relationship of our hero Quinn and our heroine his wife Alandra! Many question arise when this former Seal's wife who he was led to believe was dead resurfaces in his town as a nurse working to save one of his Seal buddies. She gets caught around his house by another of his Seal buddies who is also his partner in a very lucrative Real Estate business. Things get dicey when Alandra starts explaining to Quinn why she never let him know she was alive and her own attempts to find what really happened to her resulting in the agent assigned to her ending up dead and one she thought a friend being the actual one contracted to kill her. That is where her ex seal husband and his friends step in, eliminate the various threats allowing the two love birds to start over somewhere else until they are ready to resurface. This was an excellent book, storyline and characters. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and look forward to reading what I hope is going to be a sequel to this story.

Discovery, enduring love

No one could have convinced Quinn that his eyes hadn't deceived him when Tyler was brought into the hospital. Months had passed but he was still haunted by the nurse he saw in the hospital. The resemblance was uncanny, there was no way that she was his dead wife, the love of his life and the only woman to fill him up with joy and cause him to go mad with passion! Then she turns up in his door step........This was a great read, twists and turns, lies and discovery. A really good read!

A Bit Disappointing

Although I get the basic formula for romance novels. But sometimes in this book the rationale for a character's actions, positions, behavior or thoughts are aiming too flaky for my taste. The rationale s just weren't very plausible to me. And that really bothered me. More so in this book than any other I've read in a long time. I was disappointed.
