I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. And it blew my socks off. I have read all the other books in the series starting with he Dazzled by silver and was hooked from the start. But Layers Peeled brings all the stories together. It focuses on Kendra who has been to hell and back and is now on the road to recovery with the help of Julian Cross, Tristan's hot brother and partner in the business. Kendra and Julian have always had a connection but something has always got in their way, like Julian's brother, being kidnapped and Kendra's past. Kendra is moving forward in her life after getting rescued but something from her past is stopping her from moving forward completely and she needs answers from the two gorgeous brothers. Can Kendra fully recover, will there be a future with the only man she has ever loved. This book is explosive, it hot, it's passionate and has so many surprises and shocks in it, it's a very compelling and exciting book to read and Julian is just as yummy as his brother. A FANTASTIC ENDING TO A FANTASTIC SERIES. I just wish there was more as I loved reading these books and miss the characters already.

4.5 ⭐️'s for sure! I couldn't put this book down until the last page was read. In the first two books, "Layers Deep" and "Layers Peeled" we get glimpses of Kendra's disruptive life, but never reasons why her life is the way it is. In "Layers Off" her life is literally striped piece by piece for the reader to understand the outcome of what has become of Kendra. I have to say, she wasn't my favorite character from the past two books, but reading her story and all the horrible things she's been through, Kendra is truly one strong woman.
Let's not forget about Julian, he's been in love with Kendra from the first moment he laid eyes on her in the train, but never had the guts to claim her. After Kendra was saved by Allie from being held captive and raped for a month, Julian vowed to bring her spirit back to life and never let go of her again. The way Julian tenderly cares for Kendra in order to move past her demons will melt your heart.
This book is full of suspense, lies, and love. Enjoy!

"I've got you"
I can say I was not the largest fan of Kendra going into this book, even knowing there was much we didn't know about her. After reading this book, while I am still not sold on her being amazing enough for Julian Cross I did like her character more. This story picks up from Kendra's rescue and parallels Layers Deep & Layers Peeled giving us glimpses of what Kendra was dealing with during certain events in Allie & Tristan's lives. This story has a few flashbacks in time taking us to the past of Kendra, it was not difficult to follow at all and helped bring the big picture into focus. I can tell you I didn't expect the twists this book took and I enjoyed myself immensely. Julian was amazing and we see just how much and how long he has loved Kendra, bringing to new meaning to I've got you. There are some very steamy sex moments that had me needing a fan and a moment to collect myself. There wasn't as much suspense or action moments as we got in the previous to Layers books but this was a great read! I cannot wait to see what else Lacey Silks has in store for us in the future, I know this closes the Layers Trilogy but I wouldn't mind some follow up to see what happens with Laura and James and to see what a grown up Emma finds for herself.

As with all books that are a series, it's exciting to see how it will end and sad that you know you've come to the final moments of the characters story. This one was no exception.
All four books flow nicely from the first to the last.
It's not as steamy as some of her other books but great never the less.
I feel that this read shows Kendra in such a different light. Yes, she had a troubled past but there was a reason for it that caused it. Kendra is a strong person that is beautiful inside and out. It's the drugs and alcohol that caused her to make horrible decisions.
Julian is sweet and caring. Patient like he has been since the day he met her. Their love for each other is undeniable.

Layers Off brings everything full circle. This one is Kendra and Julian’s HEA but there is much to get through before that happens. You will get answers to questions you didn’t know you had. There are a lot of surprises, action, and intrigue. Layers Off is told through flashbacks and present day, giving you a full picture of all the books in the series.

My Thoughts
I found this series while i was visiting my in-laws over Christmas, and i'm THRILLED that i did. The journey that we've taken with the Cross's is one that's really exciting, sexy, and very unexpected. With the path that the first 2 installments took us on making it pretty clear who we were getting involved with in this final installment, how we learned Kendra's story was definitely not what i expected and i'm really pleased with that.
Going into this story, i wasn't sure how Ms. Silks was going to approach Kendra given what we know of her from Allie and Sam, and what we've seen so far. The perspective that we get here though was really a nice way to look at things. We are taken back in time to really tell her story of how she's come to know Julian and Tristan, and then we get fast forwarded into the present to understand how she's coping with being in captivity and trying to get to know herself and her relationship with Julian.
I have to admit, where the story took us, learning about what Kendra's life was like pre-Cross brothers, and what it's become now as a result of some stuff that she can't remember - it's a roller coaster. The nice bit about it is that Julian is a constant - in the phrase that he has tattooed to his chest and that he utters to Kendra over and over again 'I've got you' - this book got me! We get to see that their past is one that was shared - that they had chemistry even before they were in a place to act on it, and that's manifested itself out nicely into the perfect situation now that they are both in a place to appreciate it.
What was expected is the heat and passion that comes out at full force once they allow themselves to be together like that. Once Julian is convinced that Kendra can handle being close, a cold shower is about all that i can think about. He's romantic and kind, yet very passionate which makes for some amazing heat and scening.
The twist that this story takes though is great - i really didn't expect the last 1/3 of the book at all, and it takes a bit to get me there. i'm usually one of the first to figure out the path of a story. ok i can't say that i was completely clued out - i knew part of what was going to come up, i've watched soap operas all my life to get that - but i think that the added bonus of a deeper story - well that was a welcome bonus and made the last 60 pages or so a really big page turner.
All in all, a great finale to a really great series - all the leading ladies had their stories woven together seamlessly, and that was a pleasure to find since i was worried - i have to say - at how things were going to be pieced together. Enjoy!!

The first book, Dazzled is what has me hooked me on this series. We are introduced to Gabe & Sam, you could tell they were meant to be from the beginning. The first quote that had me giggling to death was said by Sam:
“I’ll give him a tip if he can make my orgasm last longer than a swallow”
This book gives you sizzling hot scenes, from girl on girl action to getting down and dirty with Gabe. Which make you wiggle in your seat just a bit to get warmed up. This book keep me on the edge the whole time. Gabe had lost his wife to bad guys in the past. So he fights to stop the bad guys so “History won’t repeat itself”. Will Gabe give in to his heart desires and actually want Sam to be apart of his life? Will Sam admit her feeling for Gabe?
The next book Layers Deep, was about Allie & Tristan. Allie is a cop that is looking for revenge in a man that kept her and her mother scared for their lives all of their life. Then A Job opportunity comes up with Tristan’s Company and she was persuaded by Tristan into taking the job. Tristan is a brilliant man that knows everything about everything. He is a true Knight in shinning armor! Strong and very sexy as well. Allie is very strong and confident women. Instantly feels connected to Tristan. Then this book leaves you hanging and you must move to the next Which is Layers Peeled.
This is a continuous book about Tristan & Allie. I loved both of these book love story makes you want to yell at Tristan to grab a hold of Allie and never let go. This one showed more of who was responsible for the horror of Allie’s mom’s past and which caused her and her mom to move around a lot. Book 3 Made me exhale because it didn’t leave you hanging. It also offered tons of Heat, Romance, and Super sweet scenes. So is Tristan going to Be with Allie. Or will Allie’s past end up a deadly scene for her?
The 4th book in the Series is Layers Off. This story is about Julian (Tristan’s Older brother) and Kendra. Kendra past month before she was rescued was beyond traumatic. Plus to try to move pass her pass addictions. Can she truly ever recover from something so horrible. Julian has loved Kendra all her life. Even when she dated Tristan (which tore Julian’s heart out). Now he is trying to love and help her regain the women he fell in love with. I was constantly Cheering for Kendra to get better. She has truly always loved Julian but telling him is a different story. Will They get their Happily Ever After either? Julian was introduced in book 1. Instantly I loved his character. He was flirty with Allie. Will Julian win Kendra’s heart? Or Will Kendra end up repeating her past mistakes?
All 4 books offer you Romance, Tons of Suspense, Drama and Sizzling Hot sexy scenes. Tristan is my favorites in all the books!! He is super yummy and how can you resist persistence! Book .05 & Book 1 Leave you Hanging … So make sure you buy the full Series so your not left hanging

The timeline for this installment of the Layers trilogy begins shortly before the end of the first book, Layers Peeled. There is quite a bit of jumping back and forth between the past and the present, and it is definitely important to point out that it is imperative you read the first two books before reading this one, these are not standalones in any sense.
This time around we get a deeper look into Kendra’s story and how her relationship with Julian and Tristan came about. They have all known each other since they were teens, but it just so happens that they met when the Cross brothers had been assigned to protect Kendra. When the unthinkable happens, Kendra’s life changes and soon layer upon layer of lies bury her past. It is in her pursuit of getting well, both physically and mentally, that she begins to have flashbacks of a life she left behind. Kendra feels pursuing a relationship with Julian will be the key to her ongoing success, however Julian feels the guilt of keeping the lies of Kendra’s past over the past decade. Can Julian find a way to come clean to Kendra, without the possibility of losing her? Is she really as safe as they think she is?
While Julian and Kendra are the main focus of the story, we also get insight into Kendra and Tristan’s history, and why the ill feelings remained after the two had broken up. Ms. Silks gives us a deeper look into just how entwined Kendra’s life is with that of the Cross family.
Layers Off is hands-down the best of the three full-length novels in the trilogy. Originally I wasn’t that interested in reading Kendra’s story as the previous novels had her coming across as a little vapid and spoiled. What Ms. Silks has managed to do with her character though sent me into a 180 tailspin, leaving me with nothing but admiration and empathy towards her. Despite all of the difficulties she was given, starting in her teenage years, Kendra emerged stronger and more compassionate.
Layers Off was a fitting tribute to wrap up the Layers trilogy. Ms. Silks has regained the spark that was readily apparent in the first book, but sorely lacking in the second. While it was a little hard to get into at first, namely because of several timeline shifts to explain Kendra’s history, the book ended up being a five star read. The edge of your seat action and heat made it hard to put down once I’d really gotten into it. I’m sad that this is the end of the trilogy, especially when it seems that there is still so much of Kendra and Julian’s story left tell. Seeing how their future together plays out would definitely make for more steamy reading! I’ll definitely be around to see what Ms. Silks surprises us with next!

I truly loved this trilogy and was anxiously waiting for the release of the final book. I was not disappointed. I loved everything! The story and the characters draw you in and keep you reading.

Layers Off is told from Kendra’s point of view. It focuses on Kendra’s story and her relationship with Julian Cross. We get to know her story from the moment she met the Cross brothers, we learn about her parents and her demons. It brings together all the characters and completes the story.

I truly loved this trilogy and was anxiously waiting for the release of the final book. I was not disappointed. I loved everything! The story and the characters draw you in and keep you reading.

This is the amazing turn around story about Kendra and Julian. Did you ever hear the quote "You should never judge a book by it cover"?.....Well I have to say I judged Kendra all wrong !! In the beginning when we first saw Kendra in Dazzled by Silver I didn't get a good vibe from her....drinking, drugs, wanting girls, wanting guys, thought she was all that....but when you finally hear her story here.....you will have a change of heart like I did !!

I have been following this series from the beginning and I have really enjoyed the ride. I’ll admit I wasn't exactly Kendra’s biggest fan when I first met her in the prequel Dazzled by Silver however this book showed her in a completely different light.
Layers Off picks up from shortly after Kendra is rescued from Martinez by Allie in Layers Peeled and focuses on her recovery with the support of Julian Cross. We know Kendra has been through hell in this series however we learn in this book that the kidnapping was just the icing on the cake. After her recent trauma, Kendra is suffering nightmares and remembering flashes of her past but she doesn't know what is real. “How do you put the pieces of your shattered body and soul together when you can’t even distinguish your true past from a dream?” She wants to move forward and needs answers fast. Just what are those yummy Cross brothers hiding?
I was relieved that there turned out to be so much more to this story than the kidnapping, it was full of twists and turns and some pretty explosive truths.
I loved how all the books are woven together and the little details that you pick up on from previous books. It was well written and well-paced. There was a little less steam than previous books but that’s totally fine given the circumstances, besides this had a lot more depth.
Fantastic final book filled with love, passion, second chances, mystery and suspense. I was happy with ending and after everything Kendra had been through I couldn't have expected more but I do hope to hear more of them in the future.

I received a copy from the author in exchange for my honest review, so here it is. This is Kendra's story and it will break your heart. She has had a rough life, from loosing her parents in a tragic train accident to being kidnapped and used as a sex slave. With help from Allie, Tristan, Julian and a few other friends, she is trying to heal. But can you heal from living in hell for a month and all the drugs and alcohol she use to do? You can with the help of the man you love. While staying at Julian's house and him taking care of her, she begins to hope that she is getting her life back. But what happens when she learns the truth? Will she lose her mind completely? Can Julian keep her safe? Will Kendra be able to move forward in her life? This is a great trilogy and Lacey Silks has done a great job. If you are looking for something a little different with a twist to it, then you should check out this one. I loved this layers trilogy which is Layers Deep, Layers Peeled and Layers Off. Hope you enjoy it too.

I loved it. It is written from Kendra's point of view. You get the back story in regards to how she met the Cross family. How and why the relationship between Kendra and Tristan evolved and disintegrated. How the relationship between Kendra and Julian evolved and endured despite challenges faced by both.
There are many mysteries that are brought to light and you begin to understand Kendra a little bit more. Kendra was not my favorite person in the other books but I have changed my mind. I found her selfish and spoiled. I have now changed my mind. As Julian said many times, "I got you". Well Kendra, I got you.
I usually don't reread books. This is one series I will, several times. It is mystery, romance, and spice all rolled into one. I will definitely put Lacey Silks on my "watch for new books" list and I can't wait for what she writes next.

Based on the previous 3 books, I hated Kendra, so, knowing this book centred around her I was dubious to say the least. I was wrong.
All we have known about Kendra before now is that she is a manipulative drug addict who has caused no end of pain and suffering to Tristan and Julian and caused havoc in the lives of many others. This book starts with her being looked after by Julian after her escape from the kidnappers. She isn't eating, drinking, speaking, she wants to die. The author explains Kendra's thoughts excellently, a clear understanding of what the desperation of depression and suicidal feelings is like.
We learn about how she met Julian and Tristan and how she ended up in a destructive relationship with Tristan.
There's a good plot with twists, excitement, Kendra and Julian are together as they should have always been, Julian telling her many times "I got you" and lose ends from previous books are dealt with well.

DNF AT 38%. I didn't read the first two books in this series but I think I got a pretty good feel for what had happened in this final third book. But I apologize to the author if I couldn't give it a fair shake because of that. But, with that said, he have a woman who has seen her parents assassinated and then cremated in a train explosion (her father was running for President), she was a teenager and threw the love of her life over for his brother because she saw him ONCE with another girl, got kidnapped by some evil person, drugged and held as a sex slave in a dark dungeon for a month and then is saved by said spurned brother who promises that "he's there for her."
With all that happening, I found myself really bored and I guess I blame either my mood during that particular day of reading or the emotionless writing. Unfortunately the boredom started right away when the parents were killed and neither the girl or I seemed to care. On to the next book.

Strap yourself in for an amazing finish to the Layers series. In Layers Off we get to find out Kendra's story which surprised me in so many ways. Kendra is recovering from being held as a sex slave and dealing with this trauma is bringing back nightmares from years ago, things she feels are real but doesn't remember. Unraveling Kendra's past and how it intertwines with everyone else's stories really brings the series full circle and fills in any gaps that I may have had from the other installments. Loved the interactions with all the characters in the series and how this group has created this unique family. Once again the chemistry between Kendra and Julian is off the charts giving us the needed romance and sex right along with all the suspenseful action. Received Lacey Silks' Layers Off as a complimentary copy provided by author/publisher for an honest review. The third installment of her Layers trilogy features Kendra and Julian. Reading the first two books is a must if you want to understand references made throughout this book. I am not a fan of Kendra however the story itself was interesting. The author does a great job filling in the background details of Kendra’s complex relationship with the Cross brothers and her struggles in coping with her kidnapping. Julian is supportive and finally has the opportunity to prove to Kendra is the man for her. For those that have read the previous two stories you will be happy to know that Tristian and Allie make appearances and you can see more of their relationship. With secrets and surprises along the way the story keeps you entertained.

It was a good book and a must-read as the end of the series, but it was disappointing. This was my least favorite of the series for several reasons. First, as the first two in the series were truly parts 1 and 2 of the Allie and Tristan story, this one felt like a stand alone and thus the flow into felt awkward. Second, there was so much back and forth through time, it got a bit confusing. Third, Kendra/Kat just wasn't my favorite character. The story did help evolve and explain her character, but by the time she got it together and understood why she was the way she was, I had trouble seeing her as more than a bratty, addict. It just didn't flow as well as the rest of the series. I liked the prequel and first two book so much that I may have had unfair expectations, but it just wasn't as good. That said, it was worth reading and was well done; it just wasn't amazing.

When I first read about this book being from Kendra's POV I honestly didn't want to read it. But when it comes to Lacey's writing I couldn't say NO. So with the struggle of family functions and not being able to read for the "socially withdraven" title I have been given for reading so much. I waited which was like torture but so worth it.
This book is adrenaline fussed sex. Contracts, sex, the wrong brother, drugs, kidnapping and a hidden past of her own that she didn't even know about herself.
I am happy to say that Lacey Silks is Canadian unlike the sad little rapper boy, and Toronto's Mayor. Keep up the amazing work.
Note of caution if you have been sexual assaulted be award their could be triggers.

After finishing the 2nd book i wondered what the 3rd book would be about? I was hoping for some James but i got Kendra/Julian. The book started slow for me, we got a lot of background on Kendra with the Cross brothers. I thought the book didnt get good until the last 25% where you get most of the questions answered. I wouldve thought we would have gotten some of her story when she was held captive being a slave but we didnt. I did think the story as a whole couldve been better but then again i dont know what couldve been added because of the way the story was presented.

I received an ARC for an honest review of Layers Off. If you've read the other books in the series, this is a MUST read, as the title suggests, all layers are finally off and a lot of unanswered questions from the previous books are revealed in this book. Kendra and Julian have always had a connection, but something had always stopped them from fully connecting. Things slowly comeback to Kendra in her nightmares and Julian is finally able to let her in on the secret that he, Tristan and Mr. Cross have been keeping. After going through hell and back, Kendra finally has her happily ever after! This was a fabulous addition to the Layers Trilogy!

This was a fantastic addition to the Layers Trilogy. Julian was every women's dream man. He was kind, patient, compassionate and HOT.
I loved how the story turned out to be so much more than the kidnapping. I was surprised throughout the whole book, which is probably why I finished it in less than 24 hours!!!
Kendra's strength and determination throughout the whole book was great. What was not to love about these two characters!!!
I was glad they got their HEA, but just wished for a tad more into their future together.

WOW!!! This book was AWESOME!!! When I got started reading Layers Off I wasn't sure how I would like the going back and forth in time but it worked. This is not your typical Erotic Romance ... it is so much more. Julian is wonderful, sexy and such a strong man for Kendra ("K") to have in her life. Kendra's story is so touching and more involved than you ever thought could be possible. The story really breaks loose about 1/4 way in and just holds you there waiting to see what you will find out next. Great surprises and suspense in finding out how Kendra's life really happened. GREAT JOB LACEY!!

I was so glad to get an ARC of this book because i absolutely loved the first two books. I was a tad worried since it wasn't about Tristan and Allie and while i was intrigued about Kendra, I just wasn't sure. Lucky for me this book was awesome. I absolutely adored Kendra. She's been through hell and shes so much stronger for it. And ah Julian Cross swoon i loved him!! All in all it was a great end to a great series that everyone should read i highly recommend it.
