New one to me, but one which I bought for and read to my step-niece. She really loved it and decided afterwards that she and her mum were chickens!

Brief Summary Plot:
This book is about a little chick asking his mummy if she loves him despite the little mischiefs it makes. He pulls faces, he plays in the mud, he came last in the race, he becomes silly, but his mother’s response is always ‘’I love you more than words can ever say’’. There is insecurity in the little chick when he does something new, and mother hen reassures again and again of her love for him, and this is what he values as his excitements in the book is expressive. The book also shows a minor conflict when the little chick couldn’t stop shouting very loud because he was so energetic, naturally, the little chick felt sad that his mother was angry with him. However, she reassures him that even though her little chick makes her mad sometimes, she will always love him.
Typical age range: start from 3-4 but adults can enjoy the message hidden in this book.
Personal opinion about this book:
This is one of the light-hearted comfort books I have read to my nieces. It radiates warmth and it’s not hard to comprehend the text of this book. Powerful illustration is depicted in this book that shows the emotion of the story line. The main theme that is portrayed is the unconditional love a parent has with their child. I find this book very relatable because it reminds me of the love my parents have with their children. That no matter what we go through in life, our parent will love us, always be our supporter, motivator and would be the last ones to judge us. I really enjoyed reading this book as it encourages emotional development for young readers. There is no worry in failing or being different from the rest since they will always have the support from their parents.

Okay, so picking this up on the day my first baby was due (still not here, she's late) probably made me a bit more sentimental about this than I would otherwise have been, but I really enjoyed this. It's all about a little chick who is going on various adventures and misadventure, always checking that his mummy still loves him, even when he's covered in mud or has done something wrong.

A sweet book about a mommy and child always loving each other even though they sometimes drive each other crazy. Also a good way to start a conversation with my 5 year old about our conflicts in relationships and loving each other even when we don't like what the other person is doing. It's a bit much for him to fully understand now but we're working on it.

I read the book "Marry me, Mole?" by Jeanne Willis (not listed on GoodReads). It's a story of a mole and bird who love each other. The mole shows that they are suited for each other as they are so different. In the end they agree to not marrying each other.

My daughter borrowed this book from the library and we have read it together once.
I did not enjoy it and I hope I don't have to read it again. That is not a good review for a children's book.
I did not love the illustrations, I did not like mummy hen all that much and little chick was annoying. I wanted the book to end.
I understand the idea behind the book - that everyone wants to be loved but seriously, I felt like only mother hen could love this chick. It is good that mother hen loves him. He has a chance of developing a likable character. I'd rather read that book.

This is pretty much a rehash of "Mama Do You Love Me", with the mama and child in chicken suits. But the language, less poetic than Joose's in that work, is probably more accessible to children.There's more action as well. The pictures are bright and expressive, and after all, we can never have too many books to tell our children we will love them, no matter what.
If only they wouldn't test that out so much :)

this book is a really cute book for children. its about a baby chicken figuring out if nobody how bad he changes or messes up that his mother is going to love him for him. it is a great book for eotional development itself. I do reccommend people to read this book to thier kids.

This is the story of unconditional love between mom and child. This is a tad longer than I would like for storytime, however, there is plenty of opportunity to engage the children, so definitely worth a try.

This is a good story to read for children because stimulate them about love their parent have for them. Mom and Dad always love them even if they behave bad.

A sweet book featuring a little chick who attempts to push the boundaries of how far he can go before his mother might stop loving him. PI love the book because the mom even makes a funny face-which is good for a preschool audience laugh. Perfect book as a Mother's Day read aloud.

There was a lovely message in this book other than the main; a mother's unconditional love, was about listening to your mommy. Zainab is going through that stage right now where sometimes I have to shout or yell to try her attention.
