Thank you H! Such a beautiful and thoughtful Christmas gift 🫶 I remember my Little Golden Books from my childhood and wish I had them still. I also remember falling in love with Lady/Princess Di, as a child in the 80s. This Little Golden Book has captured the story, and the essence of Diana, through words and beautiful illustrations. And, it has taken me back to my treasured childhood, when everything was better in my life.
This is such a wonderful tribute to Princess Diana and her life!
While the book may be little, it gives a comprehensive history of her life and her impact. Also, the illustrations are gorgeous! They truly capture Diana's beauty and style!
This is what I wanted the "little people, big dreams" Diana book to be. This talks about her work with HIV/AIDS patients and land mines. Highly recommended.
Shoutout to my sweet cousin for getting me this for Christmas!!! So cute and I love the art. Love Princess Diana of course. Is honest and obviously for kids, but mentions more than would expect.
This little biography was well done for children to read. I love that the illustrator included some of her more famous outfits, but especially the sheep sweater.
3.75 stars. With illustrations very faithful to the photographs we all know and love, this GoldenBook biography of Princess Diana is a worthy tribute and easy-to-read historical account of her life, covering not just her glamour, but her activism and skills as a great mom.
When you think that the average readers of these Golden Books were born twenty years after Diana’s tragic death, it’s quite mind-blowing, as well as a good reason to carefully tell her story about her charitable spirit and good works, (and not just leave it to the sordid Harry & Meghan stories in People Magazine and the tabloids.)
Again, very lifelike (although not necessarily original or artistic) illustrations. And I found it strange that they chose to list her guinea pig and cat by name yet not her Spencer siblings.
