“Tata Stories” is a chronicle of 40 compelling narratives that showcase the power corporations and industrialists hold in nation-building and driving radical transformation. The book delves deeply into the legacy and culture of the Tata Group, emphasizing core values such as philanthropy, leaving a place better than you found it, nurturing deep friendships, and keeping humanity at the forefront of all endeavors.

As J.R.D. Tata aptly put it, “To be a leader, you have got to lead human beings with affection.”

This book is a must-read for entrepreneurs and business owners both young and old. Unlike conventional business books that focus on technology, productivity, strategies, or negotiation tactics, Tata Stories offers inspiring accounts of how strong value systems and a deeply ingrained organizational culture can drive lasting success.

#TataStories is a captivating journey through the heart of nation-building, where people are at the forefront of every narrative. With eloquent writing and insightful anecdotes, Bhat transports readers to pivotal moments in #Tata's history, making them feel like firsthand witnesses. It begs the question: why aren't these inspiring tales part of our history books? The visionary decisions of the Tatas have shaped industries and touched countless lives, and it's high time their stories were celebrated on the silver screen. From pioneering leaders to everyday beneficiaries, the Tata connection runs deep, leaving an indelible mark on our collective consciousness. A must-read for anyone intrigued by the intersection of #business, #leadership, nation building and social impact

I hadn't initially thought of buying this book, but my friend's constant talk about the Tatas persuaded me to get it from CP Jain Bookstore. I'm thrilled that I did because the book is a treasure trove of stories about good people, uplifting quotes, and impactful philanthropic projects that have significantly influenced India today. Exploring these stories wasn't just about discovery; it provided valuable insights into the country, Tatas and more. I've compiled some of my favorite tales on the following pages, eager to share the inspiration with others.

Almost 20 years ago, I was in India. The name Tata seemed to be on everything. I learned that the family was one of the richest in the country with a myriad of major industries. This book documents the remarkable impact the Tata family has had on the country. Beyond industries, the Tatas have been the inspiration for many of the national achievements in science and the arts.

The book is an assembly of stories. It is obviously a PR piece and is completely devoted to honoring the family. In that sense, it isn't much of a read. But the recognition is earned.

I enjoyed the inspiring stories. I have been fortunate to have worked for Tata companies in India. I worked in Tata Exports Limited, Dewas. Goodlass Nerolac Paints, Taj Group of Hotels and Titan and Tanishq. I’ve had wonderful experiences in all these companies. I am a Tata loyalist, even drinking Tata Tetley several times a day!

Short stories, like the author mentions, more like bedtime stories. They are motivational and inspiring. Never heard of some names before, but so many have worked towards the development of India. Seeds sown long back, see them flourishing even today although some projects may not have taken off as expected. But that is the way to learn and still step forward.

It is a great book for whomever is interested in getting to know real day to day people that through daring and working hard achieved great projects, in this case in the context of the Tata Group and in an India context.

Easy to read and full of anecdotes to make it a great one to spend a good time

The tales that have been incorporated in the book are all sagas in themselves of the legacy of the Tata Group and speak volumes of the great men who have driven this organization for centuries now.

The chapters, I feel, could have been arranged in a link or a chronological order.

I recommend this book to every #tachenocrat to read once. Every page of the book is full of pride and incredible energy, and the excitement increases as you read on. Tata Group is such a play important role in the development of our country.

The life of Jamsetji Tata will be described in the following lines:

“मन समर्पित, तन समर्पित, और यह जीवन समर्पित।
चाहता हूँ देश की धरती, तुझे कुछ और भी दूँ।”

Special thanks to book author Harish Bhat, Who gave heroic story to this country.
