Get Unstuck!: The Ultimate Guide to Stop Procrastinating and Overthinking and Finally Move Forward with Your Life and Work

Rate this book
The world offers two choices - follow your dreams or follow the dreams others have for you. Most of us choose to go with what the world around us thinks is right, making it hard to achieve the life and work we really want. The result?

We get - and often stay stuck.

Murielle Marie Ungricht is an internationally recognized and respected entrepreneur, philosopher, award-winning career and business coach, and passionate advocate for social justice, equality, and inclusion. Her newest book, Get Unstuck!, reveals her empowering 4-step MOVE method to help you overcome your natural tendency to procrastinate and overthink so you can start living and working with purpose, intention, and joy!

In Get Unstuck! you will learn how to:

identify what got you stuck and what’s keeping you there;
take responsibility for your thoughts, emotions, and actions;
create a clear vision of where you want to go and what you want;
discover how to take action so you can start moving forward;
…and so much more!

Stop letting the world tell you who you are and what you are capable of; let the MOVE method help you identify those things yourself.

Part memoir and personal observations, part client experiences, and inspiring prompts to get you focused, Get Unstuck! will help you fulfill the dreams you have hidden deep inside. Drawing from neurobiological and psychological studies, philosophical texts and ideas, Murielle has created a field manual for anyone trying to figure out what they want to do with their lives.

The author deals with the ideas around mindset and shares how to manage change. As someone who is experiencing significant change in lifestyle, health changes and family circumstances The ideas she shares on how best to manage the changes are very helpful and needed. She emphasises the importance of recognising feelings about these changes to help with the process of moving forward.
There is a wealth of information that she shares with the reader than encompasses the impermanence of life and acceptance to overcome the fear that people have. She uses the MOVE method – Mindset, Options, Vision and Execution. I have found options the hardest as it’s about taking responsibility for your mood, actions and then acting on them. She suggests a number of ways to do this. Recommended reading.

Procrastination is a viscous cycle. Something needing to be done is postponed. Because there is twice as much to be done, it is postponed again. Rinse and repeat. Knowledge is power. This was knowledge, therefore power. (I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.)

This is another of the plethora of self-help books. There’s nothing offensive about this one, but there is nothing particularly ground breaking, either.
