This book was absolutely creepy carnival and I AM HERE FOR IT!!
The harlequin-esque twins, the creepy ringmaster, the Alpha, and the rose-haired demon have me absolutely OBSESSED and I am not apologizing!!
I cannot wait to start the next book and see how Meg and her guys end up… Because I have a feeling I have not even scratched the surface.

Meg is a half-blood succubus that has been searching for Sinner's Sideshow for the past 2 years of her life. She knows this is where she belongs. She knows this is where she needs to perform and she will stop at nothing to get the job. I honestly love Meg. For being "a lesser demon" she was taking no one's shit and I was like "YES GIRL WORK" - we love to see it! Also such a bad bitch for the sword swallowing thing - hats off hats off.
Now, Riff and Raff. Absolutely obsessed with them. First of all twins thank you very much and creepy clown core… so… need I say more honestly? And then we have the ringmaster - who is giving "this is my show get on your knees and beg" aura and I am not complaining one bit. And then Daemon - literally the "Alpha" (and not in the cringy way). I cannot wait to start the next book because as I said before I have just scratched the surface and I cannot wait to drown deeper into this paranormal creepiness 💚🔪💜

Ok. So hear me out. This book is an insane ride. Like, if Rob Zombie did a romance novel, I imagine it would look something like this. This was a lot of fun though, and a really entertaining read. I didn't think I would like it as much as I did, but this author seems to be very good at turning my yucks into yums. Scary ass twin clowns with a liking for knives and blood? Sure, here are Riff and Raff for you. A terrifying demonic Ringmaster named Alistair that has a (in the words of the FMC) "Willy Wonka meets Leatherface sort of thing going on" and his 'pet' Hellhound shifter/lover Daemon. I mean, you already broke me with the clowns, might as well...
So the story is about Meg, a half human/half succubus that grew up in a circus with her dad in the human world. Once he passes, she is on a quest to join the monster circus her succubus mother came from. She must convince the ringmaster to hire her, and learn to adjust from human living. The circus is just awful lol It's gory, depraved and every bit of what you would imagine a hellish circus to be. And it's great.
Seriously, this book was just a lot of fun. I'm giving it five stars because even though it kinda grossed me out sometimes, it was a blast and I thought about it when I wasn't reading and I cannot wait to move on to the next book in this duet.

The first sentence of the book is, “Every monster within a 50 foot radius either wanted to eat me or fuck me.” And the TW page has “demonic clowns” listed, so I knew this was probably gonna be a good time.
And it was.

It was extremely weird, sexy, goofy, dark, gross at times, and super entertaining.

It’s a dark, why choose romance set at a carnival where the FMC is a succubus and the men are all some kind of paranormal creature. So as you can imagine, it’s heavy on the monster smut and creepy carnival vibes.

I wasn’t expecting this to be quite as weird and ridiculous as it was. It definitely makes it on the list of weirdest books I’ve read. It made me laugh a few times, especially to see how the plot (if we can call it that 😂) started to evolve. But I was hooked from the first sentence.

Reading this made me realize that I need more creepy carnival books in my life.

Creepy vibes…and that ain’t no lie!

What exactly did I just read? I don’t really know but I do know I really freaking enjoyed it. Circus Creeps was dark, broody, violent and gory and completely and utterly dirty.

A half-blooded succubus looking for her place in the world finds herself at a circus where monsters are the predators and she is most certainly the prey.

The master Alistair and his pet Daemon and Rafferty and Rifton find Meg to be most intriguing to their senses. Daemon wants to claim her, Alistair wants to own her and the twins enjoy playing with her. But danger is coming and secrets and twists are still left to be revealed.

I loved each of these demons for their particular brand of spice and interactions with Meg. Underneath the filthy f*cking there was a sensuality to their connections and couplings. I’m not typically into MM when a F is involved but here so far it’s working for me. 🥵🥵🥵

I have a feeling Meg is going to be the she-demon that brings these hotties to their knees and I’m looking forward to it.

Yooooo this book was not what I expected, though in all honestly I just didn’t even know! 🤣🤣🤣 It’s unhinged, grotesque, barbarian, and fucking awesome!

This was my first time reading horror????? Romance???? I’m not sure if that’s even what this is because overall the tone was totally light hearted. I don’t even think this is a dark romance. It’s really a why choose, horror, romantic comedy. It was short, entertaining, spicy and just what I needed to get ready for spooky (ahem Scorpio) season.

Meg is half human and half succubus who finally finds the Sinners Sideshow, which she has been looking for for two years after her old human circus went under. Sinners Sideshow is a circus performed by monsters from the Downside (aka hell) for monsters from the Upside (think vampires, werewolves, ghouls, bunny shifters??? 😂). Meg is looking to finally fit in and learn more about her succubus nature, so she goes there looking for a job in the show. She also happens to be a virgin. Yup a virgin sex demon in a monsters circus full of demons. 😂 She obviously gets a lot of immediate attention from the Ring Master, his Hellhound 😏 and two twin clowns. It’s awesome🤣🤣🤣 This book has MMF, MF, MM relationships and I was here for it.

Anyway the plot is loose but there, this is a journey of self discovery for her monster identity and to learn more about her mother who was full succubus and used to perform in the show. I did feel like there were some opportunities to make Meg a deeper character than just a sexually pent up half sex demon. Strengthening her relationship with Lollie (a cool gorgon chick she met upon arriving) for instance, could’ve been a great way to do that.

Anyways this was fast and fun and I’ll be reading the second book in the Duology. Let’s see what our lil succubus gets into next!

This book was insane! I ate this shit up.
This took my love for spooky circus/carnivals to a whole new level.
It was very fast paced, very spicy, very delicious and incredibly fucked up. Perfect.
This was my first proper dark paranormal romance and it definitely won’t be my last.

Meg the FMC is half human, half sex demon! She’s a bad bitch and I want to be her when I’m older please. She’s been searching for a circus her mother used to work at for years which is also a circus for monsters.
When she finally finds it she falls for the ring master, his “pet/lover” and twin brothers who are also sex demons and I loved them all.
This is book 1 and I’ve already downloaded book 2 as I can’t wait to find out what happens next!

I literally devoured this book. I read it faster than any book I've ever read. And it's important to note it's my first of this genre.

If you look past the "play time" and focus on just the book itself, it's still perfect. I was invested in the characters and I'm kind of in love with Riff & Raff. I couldn't put the book down, literally. If I was doing something else, I wanted to stop and read.

As I mentioned, this was my first "romance" book and I wasn't sure what to expect. I didn't even know what all of the trigger warnings meant. Guess none of them are bothersome for me! But please check them if you're concerned for yourself. Every darl, twisted, dirty detail is so perfect and adds the perfect amount of filth to the story.

I absolutely loved this book.

What in the monsters was this read?
I’m still absolutely feral over this book. I DREAMED about it — do you know what that means? It means it completely took over my brain.

Yesterday, I randomly started this book and when I looked at the clock… I had already read 30% in one hour. 30%. I had to stop because, unfortunately, adulthood called and I needed to sleep to function at work today. But imagine my shock when I woke up and realized I’d dreamed about this story and these characters all night long.

This book is addictive. The lore, the monsters, the characters, the fact that it’s why choose — it was perfect for my Halloween TBR and, without much effort, became one of my favorite reads of 2025. No joke.

I love the twins, Riff & Raff. I love Allistair, the devil himself. I love Daemon, the brute (in the best way). They’re perfect. ALL OF THEM.
And Meg? Baddie as hell. I adore her. I can’t stop thinking about her.

It’s not plot heavy, you know, or a literary masterpiece, but it’s SO DAMN DELICIOUS. I’m hooked. I need to live with them. Can I?

How can I convince you to read this book? It deserves more hype.

Ainda estou completamente doida com este livro. Eu SONHEI com este livro, percebem o que isso significa? Que me conquistou ao ponto de invadir a minha mente até quando durmo.

Comecei a ler este livro ontem, completamente ao acaso, e quando olhei para o relógio… já tinha lido 30% em apenas uma hora.
30%!
Só parei porque, infelizmente, a vida adulta chamou e tinha mesmo de dormir para trabalhar no dia seguinte. Mas imaginem a minha cara ao acordar e perceber que tinha passado a noite inteira a sonhar com esta história e estas personagens.

Este livro é viciante. O misticismo, os monstros, as personagens, o facto de ser why choose… foi simplesmente perfeito para a minha TBR de Halloween. E, sem grande esforço, tornou-se uma das minhas leituras favoritas de 2025. Sem exagero.

Adoro os gémeos, Riff & Raff. Adoro o Allistair, o próprio diabo. E adoro o Daemon, o brutamontes ehehe. São todos perfeitos. TODOS.
E a Meg? Uma autêntica rainha. Adoro-a. Não consigo tirá-la da cabeça.

Não é um livro cheio de enredo nem uma obra-prima… mas é TÃO DELICIOSO.
Estou rendida.

Another one in the Goodreads recs for a book I'm still reading. I liked this one from the first word. It's one of those stories you just fall into. Things start brutal. A rapist ghoul getting it's just deserts. I liked Meg. She was strong, violent and gave as good as she got.

The guys were what you'd expect from Circus monsters. Crazy clown twins, The bitch tamer and the ringmaster. They had all the dark rumours surrounding them etc, etc. The more they were with Meg, the more they came across as vulnerable monsters after mates. I liked how nothing went to plan, but Daemon annoyed me with his cold shoulder and needing her gone for her own protection. The puppy pile was adorable. The fact that he got her first was geh. The twins were so caring and in her corner from the start. Also chastity belt on a succubus. Hah.

Great fun. Looking forward to the other half. 4.5 stars.

I have no shame in admitting I was charmed by every single one of these monsters, the twins dynamic especially had me starting my own fires 🥵🔥 the story was intriguing, the spice was scorching, and this monster circus is on my bucket list even if the freaky times freaked me out, I’m under a spell with these Circus Creeps and I’m not looking for a way to break it, especially not before I get my hands on book two.

The world is intriguing. Wish we got to see more of it. And more Lollie! Instead, everyone is obsessed with Meg's virginity.
I only kept reading this book to see Meg lose her virginity to Riff.
But, of course, the author fucked that up.
Riff and Raff deserve more.
For the first time ever, I skimmed a sex scene. Daemon did nothing for me. He's my least favorite. He did nothing to deserve "popping her cherry" even though he claims it was his all along. 🙄 Sorry, but Riff and Raff were there first. They helped her instead of being selfish fucking assholes the whole book. They stood by her through everything. They deserve Meg.

I love these demonic clown twins so much. They treat her like she’s everything, look at her like she hung the stars. No shame—telling her not to be embarrassed about what she likes, what she wants. They want her to want. And they’ll give her everything she needs. Full-on incubi at their wildest. The way they move together, how they just know each other. And she loves it. And I love them!!! ❤️🎪🎭The twins are WILD—but that’s half the fun. Meg’s into it. She loves the chaos, and the fact that they’re all succubi just makes sense. They feed off each other, push each other further. Meg’s got her own edge too, that’s why she fits right in. She belongs at the circus 🎠🎟️. The clowns showed up at just the right time. And yeah—no denying—they’re FINEEEEE 😮‍💨🎭💋. They match her freak.

“It was intimate. I wanted you to feel like I was making love to you. There’s an art to making people feel fear. Gore and guts are fine and well for unnerving most people. I knew you were different.

I love that he’s never even been with a woman before, but Meg’s the first one to actually get his attention. Like really get to him. At first, he only has that soft spot for Daemon, but then Meg shows up and suddenly he’s breaking all his rules just to keep her close—even when Daemon’s clearly against it. Alistair and his shadows? OOF. He’s majorly unhinged, but that’s exactly Meg’s type. As the ringmaster, he’s in control, always (except with Daemon) 🎩🎪. The way he made that deal with Meg and basically tricked her was so him. Him being Discord didn’t even shock me. Super predictable, but it makes so much sense.

“I don’t hate you, little pup. You annoy me because you’re a total brat. But that doesn’t mean I wouldn’t bring you the heads of your enemies should you provide me a list of your greatest foes. Doesn’t mean I won’t protect you with my life.”

Daemon hurt someone he thought was his mate, and Alistair had to step in and tame him. Now he’s scared to get close to Meg ‘cause he doesn’t wanna mess things up again. But you can tell he’s secretly super possessive of her. He acts rough—degrades her at first—but also makes sure he keep her safe. He’s got his own messed-up way of showing he cares. He asked one thing of Alistair—just one. That he’d make her leave. Because he knew the second he got too close, he’d want to claim her. She’s too tempting. But of course, Alistair didn’t listen. So now Daemon’s all cold and standoffish, constantly irritated by Riff and Raff, and the tension is TOO GOOD. It makes everything way more angsty between him and Alistair, too.

I HAD FUN!!!! Don’t get me wrong, they’re all twisted in their own ways, but honestly, that’s what makes it so good. There wasn’t a dull moment at all—you really feel like you’re part of the circus act, living every crazy second. And I love how every single person brings their own unique vibe to the show, making it all so much more entertaining.

The good:


- Meg is snarky and sarcastic! Even in the worst possible moments.


- I adored all the characters, especially Riff & Raff! Their names are clever. They were my absolute favorites 😍🖤


THERE'S A SHADOW DADDY. Albeit, he's slightly creepy... BUT A SHADOW DADDY, YOU GUYS. 🤌🏻


- Daemon. Do I even need words? A tortured soul of a monster with a tragic backstory. I just wanted to simultaneously shout at him and reach out and give him a big hug. The Bitch Tamer. Alistar's pet until he spots Meg in the audience. A little insta-lovey and a possessive alphahole from the start, but I dig it. Although I adore Riff and Raff, I think Daemon is endgame. THERE ARE SUBTLE HINTS THROWN IN.


- The concept & originality! The Upside, the Downside (I was definitely interested) and wished we got to here more about the Downside.


- THE TWIST AT THE END. Astrid is fcking Lilith!!!



The bad:



- The virgin thing is honestly kinda cliche. 😭


- Maybe the pacing?? I was so looking forward to Meg's audition, but it happened at around the 75% mark.


- Wait. Whoa. Hold up. Time out. If Alistair's shadows created Astrid (Lilith), then technically wouldn't that be his own daughter? And Alistair knew Lilith when she was pregnant with Meg. That's where my weirdness meter cuts off.

Sinner's Sideshow is where all monsters come to live out their darkest fantasies. Meg is a half-blood succubus who has finally found Sinner's Sideshow after looking for it for years. She is determined to have an act in the circus and prove the monsters wrong that it doesn't matter that she is a half-blood, Sinner's Sideshow is the place where she belongs. Her plan does not involve falling in love with four monsters along the way. The opening line is what hooked me in but the world and the characters are what made me continue reading and slowly made me fall in love with everything about this story by the end. This was the perfect romance to read in October because what this story does well is balancing the romance with the creepiness. I loved how in the beginning of the story, even though Meg was treated like she was fragile by her men and the other monsters in the circus because she is a virgin she proved that she could handle herself and the circus is the place where she belongs. I found it funny and I thought it made Meg's character unique how she is a succubus but she is still a virgin at 20 years old and it took all of the monsters by surprise too. I recommend the playlist while reading the story because some of the songs pair well together with the chapters and it's just a great playlist! If you are looking for a monster romance to read during spooky season, I highly recommend this one! It definitely has become one of my favorite monster romances and I can't wait to continue on in the next book and visit the world and the characters again. I thought this book was a standalone when picking it up so I was not expecting a cliffhanger and now I am anxious to see how the ending of this book is going to affect everyone's actions in the next book.

What do you get when you put clown incubi TWINS, a hellhound, a shadow man ringmaster that wears the skin of others, a succubus and a sprinkling of spice?!? You get the dark and depraved Sinners Sideshow circus.

This was such a delightful read and perfect for spooky season. I went in completely blind and I’m so glad I did. I adored the hell out of this book. Riff & Raff, Daemon and Alistair all have my heart and I can’t wait for book 2

Dark paranormal romance with a lot of smut and a lot of trigger warnings. Its most important quality, though, is how much fun it is. The author adds a few twists to the hellish setting to make it fresh, inclusive and tear down all the barriers of any kind of conventional moral accountability. We've got hot demon clowns, an even hotter (naturally) hellhound and someone older than time itself who tries to cling to his last threads of humanity.

There's honor in hell. It's silly, it's outrageous. Unfortunately it's also got an obsession with the FMCs virginity, but not to worry, there's also a second part!

First of all, this book was hot. Sinfully, deliciously, demonically hot.
Meg, our darling little half-succubus, was so fun to read. She's a little baddy, full of surprises.
Sinner's Sideshow, a place of haunts and creeps, was also home to some pretty yummy men. All of which were quick to wrap themselves around Meg's fingers.
Riff and Raff, the flirty and crazed twin duo with electric colored hair, didn't have to use their incubi charms on Meg... or me.
Daemon, with his whip and leather straps... could make a woman melt 😏
And Alistair? The ringleader of the entire show? Well he's just shrouded in mystery and shadow. But what can we find under the shadow? 😉 you'll just have to read to see.
I can't wait to see where the rest of our little creeps go from here 😉

This was so easy to get into and kept my attention the whole way through.

Meg has been looking for the Sinners Sideshow because it’s the only circus left in existence. Hers fell apart and she loses contact with everyone once her dad got sick.

It’s hard to find because it’s only meant to be found by ‘monsters’ and she’s a half blood but she FINALLY comes across it 🎉

She wants to work there but there is someone in her way.

She has to try out and does so with the twins … puts on a great show and just becomes hard to say no to.

I have nothing but compliments for this book. Twisted, creepy, sexy... So good!! This book put Aiden Pierce on my "favourite authors" list. Between the writing style and the impeccable spicy descriptions, I give this book a 5/5 stars and 11/10 chili peppers!
