After months of touring with Purple Moonlight, videographer Briella Valentine, is desperate to get home to her family for Christmas. After accepting an offer for Finlay Carmichael to drive her home on the tour bus, she’s on her way to holiday bliss. Or so she thought.

Finlay doesn’t do Christmas. He plans to travel and crash on the tour bus to pass the holiday. That is until he finds himself driving Briella back home to Indiana. A few days alone on the tour bus with Briella wouldn’t be a problem. Except, it’s getting increasingly more difficult to keep his eyes off her voluptuous body.

When a snowstorm hits, will Finlay be a good boy and keep his hands to himself, or will he end up on Santa’s naughty list?

- This was a cute little holiday romance! I love how we were able to see the main characters build their friendship over the span of the bus ride. Reading about the games they would play, how they would open up to each other, and read together was so cute!
- I wish that there had been a little more towards the end because it felt like it ended so abruptly. Would have loved to see what the holidays would have looked like for them together.
- I loved the page breaks because it gave great stopping points. I also loved that the chapters were short. One of the shortest books I’ve read this year, but it kept my interest the entire book!

You get to see my dog Toto (wizard of oz) lol in the photo with the book I just finished. This my lovely friend wrote its a short romance novella and it was sooo good!!

So this follows Brielle and Finley, Finley is in a band and on a tour bus and his friend who’s been his friend for years so this is a friend romance book she helps him out and stuff they been having a crush on each other for a while. She is on his tour bus with him he obviously doesn’t do Christmas and she needed a ride home for her family on Christmas so she ended up on the tour bus with him,

This is a short book and eventually they end up kissing and other stuff. The ending had a great HEA this book has spice! Also if you like short reads try this one out. Bbw interracial romance, friendship love.

You get to see if Finley at the end falls for. Brielle as a good boy or become a naughty boy. Lol great story also since I’ve read this whole story I would love to see a sequel with their relationship.

This book was cute — I’m such a big fan of the friends to lovers trope, so I loved getting to see their friendship evolve from page to page. I also love that Fin was the one mainly applying pressure & reassurance from the jump, he didn’t have to figure out or fight against the fact that that he liked her, which I’ve rarely seen in romance books.

The things I didn’t like as much were the grammatical/plot aspects — like why include the detail of him not owning a winter coat just for Briella to say a page later that he grabbed his coat 😭 Or, for a book this short, why were so many things misspelled? And the ending left me dissatisfied — after all Fin’s hoopla to get Briella home for the holidays, and Briella stressing about getting to spend time with her family, we don’t get to see how Christmas day went?? 😭😭 bro

Overall, I enjoyed! I’m always a sucker for plus-size BW representation, and the shortness helped me achieve my reading goal this year! 🤭

After touring with the band Purple Midnight for almost a year, Briella wants nothing more then to go home for the holidays. Fellow band mate Finlay offers to drive her home on the tour bus so she doesn't have to travel alone. Briella agrees, but as she spends more time with Finlay, she can no longer hide the spark she's been trying to deny.

This was an okay read... on the bright side, it was very quick and easy to read. I wasn't the biggest fan of the way this was written though. It was a lot of telling what the characters were doing instead of showing us, and it got annoying rather quickly. I did like Briella and Fin as main characters for the most part, but I just couldn't care less about their love story through out.

3.5 stars. This book follows Briella and Finlay as they are set to be on break from tour for the holidays. We, as readers, follow Briella and Finlay, more specifically, as Finlay volunteers to drive Briella home to Indiana. During the journey, the pair gets trapped on the tour bus by a snowstorm. Waiting out the snowstorm causes Briella and Finlay's attraction towards each other to grow, and full-on romance ensues shortly after.
Overall, I enjoyed reading this book. The romance between Briella and Finlay was sweet and subtle until the sex scene in the ending pages, which is why my rating dropped. This book could have been a four-star read, but I digress.

Real Cute

Highway Holiday is the second book I have read by Lanee Lane. I really enjoyed this straightforward friends to lovers story. Finlay has no reason to love Christmas…he comes from a broken home with no holiday traditions to recall. When Briella needs a ride home for Christmas, he jumps at the chance to spend some time with her. Will this holiday trip lead them to love? Short, cute and well written….can’t ask for more!

This was fine? It was a very quick little spicy read. I went into this thinking it was going to mostly take place on the bus, but that wasn’t the case, while yes there’s are scenes of them getting close on the bus the spice doesn’t hit till they reach her family’s house. I also was getting a little annoyed with them constantly saying eachothers names when talking to eachother, seemed a bit weird and like the author was trying to make sure we remembered their names

Bri and Fin find themselves on a holiday road trip with snow. Your is over and Bri is ready to head home for the holidays. Fin had no real plans this year. He did not want to be intrusive on others holiday plan. These two find themselves on a holiday roadtrip with snow holiday music and movies. Christmas Eve gives them both a little something more to appreciate about the holiday.

This was a cute friends/co-workers to more holiday romance.

It was a great book but I just wasn’t really that into it. Maybe it was because I have been in a reading slump but I just couldn’t get deep into it. I’m a very harsh rater when it comes to book and this wasn’t a book that I was really obsessed with. It was very cute and I would definitely recommend it but I’m also comparing it to a lot of other books I have read so that’s why I rated it so low. I couldn’t decide between 2 stars or 3 stars but I chose 2 since I didn’t fall in love with it.

The two main characters are co-workers who travel with a band and have been attracted to each other for a while. This attraction is brought forward when only the two of them travel alone on the bands bus to get her home in time for Christmas.

Cute story but there was not enough development or descriptions of the characters for me to really enjoy the book. Thank goodness it’s a very short read.

I really wish I could have gotten to know the characters a little bit better, also they moved very quickly to sleeping with each other (I know it’s a novella) but this was super fast. The authors writing is a little amateur as well.

Bri & Fin were so cute. It was fun to read their journey and how they had this unspoken thing for each other. It was very fast paced ( to be expected) but I would’ve loved an epilogue to see where they ended up months later etc but I felt for Fin and I feel like he would grow to love Christmas as much as she does.

This was a cute little holiday novella. I enjoyed seeing the main characters go from friends to wanting to be with each other. Also there is nothing like a snow storm to make the story more interesting. Glad that Bri made it home safely ❤️ Just the perfect little short story.
