This self-teaching introduction to financial accounting presents the ideas and terminology essential to gain an understanding of balance sheets and income statements. The fifth edition takes a careful step-by-step problem-solving approach in order to help readers master the basics.
Good teaching of accounting basics in a learn-by-doing workbook. Starts with basic concepts, journal entries, the general ledger, and covers the various financial statements - balance sheet, income statement and statement of cash flows, as well as the relationships among them. But, I don't like the formatting of the book (each half of the book is printed upside down from each other other, so you have to flip the book if you want to read something from the other half, such as referencing the exhibits) and some of the concepts could have been made clearer.
A good start for totally beginner in finance/investment/business. This books gives essential knowledge of accounting: - 3 financial report - accounting concept - basic analysis
