Her only sin was innocence, but would seduction be a crime?

The remote Wyoming cabin he'd chosen for his escape suited high-powered lawyer Nicholas Kincaid just fine--at least it did, until a lovely shepherdess and her sheep invaded his privacy! Ivy Parker needed his pasture for her flock, but negotiating with this rugged firebrand meant getting way too close for comfort.  Tantalized by desire, shocked by her own wild need, could she trust this mysterious maverick to cherish her always?

Weaving a sensual and moving tale of passion and intrigue, RaeAnne Thayne entangles an unlikely but resolute heroine with a fierce dragonslayer who's lost his faith in everyone, especially women.  When dark shadows threatened the world she loved, she'd stood her ground alone, but could a powerful warrior who'd seen too much of betrayal find his destiny--and a home he'd never known--in her heart?

I'm not one of those people who knew from birth she was destined to become a writer. I always loved to read and throughout my childhood I could usually be found with a book in my hands. To the disgust of my friends, I even enjoyed creative writing assignments that made them all groan. But I had other dreams besides writing. I wanted to be an actress or a teacher or a lawyer.

Life took a different turn for me, though, when my mother made me take a journalism elective in high school (thanks, Mom!). I knew the first day that this was where I belonged.

After I graduated from college in journalism, I took a job at the local daily newspaper and I reveled in the challenge and the diversity of it. One day I could be interviewing the latest country music star, the next day I was writing about local motorcycle gangs or interviewing an award-winning scientist.

Through it all -- through the natural progression of my career from reporter to editor -- I wrote stories in my head. Not just any stories, either, but romances, the kind of books I have devoured since junior high school, with tales about real people going through the trials and tribulations of life until they find deep and lasting love.

I had no idea how to put these people on paper, but knew I had to try -- their stories were too compelling for me to ignore. I sold my first book in 1995 and now, more than 30 books later, I've come to love everything about writing, from the click of the computer keys under my fingers to the "that's-it!" feeling I get when a story is flowing.

I write full-time now (well, as full-time as I can manage juggling my kids!) amid the raw beauty of the northern Utah mountains.

Even though I might not have dreamed of being a writer when I was younger, now I simply can't imagine my life any other way.

Sweet Justice

A sweet story of a sheep ranch owned by a family One person loved the ranch, one a wily son who is mean to the core, and the real owner who has had health issues. Good story but a lot of print errors starting in chapter 8 and continuing to the end. Proof reading job was poor and a distraction to me. I wanted to give it 4 stars but my Fire tablet was stuck on 5.

Little did she know this man called Nick would interrupt her exhausting days, enter her dreams and her heart. Enjoyable

Tragedy, loss, love and more. I like that Nick and Ivy were able to get together in spite of their differences. I didn’t like the way Ivy dealt with the trouble her cousin caused. Once again, there were numerous errors that better proofreading should have caught. If a publisher is going to reissue a series, you would think they would pay more attention to issues like this.

Good storyline. Needs proofreading.

Good storyline but sadly and unfortunately the author didn't care enough to proofread the work. There are a lot of small mistakes and a few more important ones that make reading it a bit more difficult. Unfortunately basic laziness.

The story line was nice but the editing needs some work. Several misspelled words and incorrect tense .

I rarely notice these things because normally books are edited quite well. I was very surprised at the lack of editing. I've read several of this author's books and haven't noticed this before.

Whiskey Creek Series

Really good book! However there wasn't much continuity of characters in this series. I loved the Hope's Crossing series because the characters appear in each book.

The best of the four Whiskey Creek books.

As with all of her stories, RaeAnne Thayne builds characters that are memorable and strong with their integrity. I am a sucker for almost any book set in Wyoming.

An early book by Raeanne Thayne. It's not one of her best, but it was an easy read, and I enjoyed it.

Sweet Mountain Love

Ivy and Nick have both struggled their whole life with great losses. They discover that the big town lawyer and the small town shepherded have more in common than they ever imagined! Great end to the series!
