An incredible book! This work was instrumental in developing my thoughts on modern culture, society, and the position of the western world (notably the United States) in history. It's analysis of changes that have taken place in the last 100+ years is not only accurate, but insightful. Best thing about it? Extremely well-presented in its citations & its research.

This is truly a thought provoking, discussion starting book that will challenge a great deal of thinking about the core philosophies of the modern era.
