When she announces that she is moving in with her boyfriend, Adam Livingstone, and there's a baby on the way she has no idea of the devastating effect this will have on those she loves. Nor does she realise the rocky road to happiness that lies ahead...What readers are saying about Liverpool Love Song :'Lovely story, a comfy chair and a cup of tea for chill out time by yourself with this book. Anne Baker's books are books to get lost in , enjoyable read''Good book from the very first page to the very last'
Anne Baker trained as a nurse in England, but after her marriage lived in Libya and Nigeria before returning to Birkenhead, where she worked as a health visitor. She now lives with her husband in Merseyside.
Very disappointed with this book, there were lots of anomalies, it needed to be edited, the author did not have the period right at all. For her information Credit cards only came into use in 1966, and then only Barclaycard , it was another 6 years before there was another card, Access! Debit cards came out much later. I don't think the hotel would have been able to keep details if any of their customer used them. I don't think Chloe would have gone to live 'in sin' with her boyfriend, it just did not happen. The term 'Partner' is much more recent, back in the 60s the term used was 'Common Law wife', Toy boy is also a much more recent phrase. Chloe's wedding outfit at the end of the book would have been either a mini, or Maxi or possibly Midi not ballerina. The dubious plot, I found it more than a bit creepy that Rex who was Helen's lover was also in love with her daughter, eventually marrying Chloe after Helen died of cancer (and I am pretty sure there was no breast reconstruction in the 1960s!). Dire and dreadful. A bit more research please!!

This started as ...yes a Love story and I thought hmmmmm , but I kept with it and then Anne Baker brought in her twists of connections to fraud, theft and identity theft. Couldn't put it down then.

Well, it's starting really good, but how disappointed is Rex ,who loves Chloe starting sleeping with her mum 😢. There were many moments when I was feeling bored 😴.
