These women could be commended for their passion for teaching literacy to students with autism alone. They back up their enthusiasm with a well-researched book full of practical ideas and strategies. Both are experienced educators and a bulk of their research involved studying the writing of published authors with autism. Their suggestions would benefit numerous types of learners. I love this book, I burned through one highlighter and countless post-it flags as I read.
A must-read for anyone responsible for educating a child with autism.

A bit of a tough read at time but I appreciate the inclusion of the different perspectives of individuals living with autism. Very insightful and useful for educators and parents.
