Organizations have begun to build, groups who want to rid the world of betas. Groups who take omegas to use as nothing more than capsules to populate the world with the designations they feel are superior. I should have been safe. My family believed me nothing more than a beta. Average. Not worth their time. They disowned me, threw me out on my butt with nothing more than the clothes on my back. Little did they know, I was simply a late bloomer, and now I had to learn to navigate the world as an unbounded omega on my own while staying under the radar of possessive alphas. But there are also groups whose sole purpose is to protect us. And my omega just so happens to awaken at the sight of the four men clad in black who infiltrate the facility where I’m being held prisoner. Now I’m in a new battle – a fight against my heart, mind, and body. I want these four men. I want them in my life. I want to be their omega. As long as they can keep me alive and out of the hands of the enemy. Belated Omega is a why choose, poly am romance that includes MM and MMFMM. Meaning not only does Violet have a pack of beautiful alphas, but two of her alphas are romantically involved with each other.
Still don't know what half of the guys look like. Super generic omegaverse just like a hundred others I've read. Nothing stands out to keep my attention.
It took way too long for me to finish this. Editing is non existent. This felt more like a group of frat boys than a pack. They sure didn’t know much about omegas for being part of a special team. What was the point of Wilder at all? The FMC was annoying too.
I really enjoyed this the first half of this book. But then it slowed way down and got kinda boring/ annoying. Between all the doubts violet was having and the lack of initiative the guys were showing it just went down hill for me.
Also what was the point of Wilder? I thought he was gonna join the pack there for a bit. But he was just kinda…there🙃

Story was the usual omegaverse narrative of danger and rescue from fundamentalist. I feel there was much to the villain story that was left unsaid. The grammar errors were distracting. The Wilder pov inclusion confusing and repetitive . So he doesn’t like her as a mate and doesn’t want to be in the harem. Why is he in this storyline ?
This was not worth the time it took me to read. 😢 I hated the addition of Wilder (beta) just being tossed in there with zero resolution “betas help calm omegas” ok. Great. So Wilder is there and is used as a pretty central character for what though?? Because he just kind of gets written in and out randomly and if this was the intro for our next MMC in the next book it sucked because it feels like he belongs with Violets pack according to the way itself been set up. I wasn’t a big fan of Violet either. I started off thinking okay, she is pretty strong, she can be smart, oh wait she is making choices that put everyone in peril…. Nvm I don’t like her. I liked the addition of the MM relationship to the A/B/O universe but otherwise this fell extremely flat.
If you like your omegaverse books sweet and cozy but with a couple darker themes mixed in, this book is right up your alley.

Something about this omegaverse story that set it apart for me was how in this world they recognize the consequences of having a group of people (omegas) somewhat at the mercy of another group (alphas, who can command omegas and are drawn to them). The world-building acknowledges that if this were the case, there would be bad people ready to take advantage, thus necessitating the need for hero figures ready to protect and defend against those who would twist the nature of their designations.
Although there are a lot of darker themes to this story, I think it did a good job of avoiding getting into anything really triggering, while still conveying the weight of what the FMC experienced. It provided a great setup for a sense of found family that heals and completes each other when they come together and bond. I really liked how the dynamics between the FMC and each of the alpha pack members were different and distinct from each other, and you really got to see each character as their own unique person. Definitely improves all of the spicy scenes and romance elements. And although the FMC is an omega, she is a good blend of submissive, smart, and feisty. Her sense of empathy and compassion for other omegas was great.
I wish the world could have been fleshed out even more, as well as her friendship with Wilder--that was a great element that would have been even better with more time and attention spent on it. Sometimes the editing could have been a bit stronger, and I wish the conclusion got to be a little more detailed so that we get a better look at how the pack resolves everything that happened in the book--because that was a lot to go through! But overall, it was a fun read and a refreshing omegaverse novel. Definitely enjoyed it.
this was cute, but i still had problems with it. i hate the fact that violet doesn't see how insane it is to have this "nothing will go wrong" attitude despite the fact that she was already kidnapped. i do not understand. she gets all frustrated like "you're not going to let me help?? but i have no experience with a firearm, no training, and the guy who kidnapped me is still alive and after me!!" it's just so unbelievably stupid.
although i did like that in the end, she stayed where she was told, didn't distract the rest of the team, and was able to defend herself anyway. that is a lot more fair and understandable to me than these characters who make demands like "i can take care of myself!!!!!" and then immediately get themselves kidnapped. too stupid.
so at least that didn't happen. i also wish we could've gotten to see a little bit more of the whole pack experience following the resolution of the problem. it would have been nice to actually get to see them recover from their trauma and continue the bonding process. not to mention the fact that there are a handful of things that are hinted at that never really get to be explored.
but generally, i did have fun reading this, and i did end up liking most of the characters, including violet, even though some of her choices/dialogue/etc feel a little disjointed and not fully thought through. i will probably read some of these others in the series, especially since this was the first one. so i'm hoping they'll get better with the process.
This has tons of potential. It is an interesting world with diverse personalities (not always the case in pack romances; sometimes the guys can run together a bit) and good pacing.
The problem here is editing... or lack thereof. There are definitely a lot of basic issues like mismatched tenses and incorrect vocabulary usage (maybe autocorrected to the wrong word?), but also more general issues like repetitive word use and clunky phrasing. Here's an example:
"a scream rent through the air a split second before a crash echoed in the air."
Other than the use of "rent" instead of "rends," the sentence is just extremely awkward. This happened throughout the book and completely pulled me out of the story every time.
The other issue is the character development. The use of first-person POV is already very expositional without 18 sentences in a row of a character randomly telling us their entire worldview in their head. A lot of the writing reads more like what an author would write for themselves to flesh out a character rather than how a character should be presented on the page for the reader. You can sum this problem up as "show, don't tell".
Overall, this seems like a very promising author with a good sense of story but who needs help making the jump from fanfiction-level writing to published-level writing.
The back and forth with Wilder was getting annoying.. She likes being near him, he is reacting to her pheromones' despite being a beta, he is the one that is able to calm her down from her heat symptoms, they literally cuddle, he puts up with the alphas abuse to help her, but she thinks this is what it would feel like to have a brother that cares? And then he leaves? I was 1000% team Wilder... and I was getting confused so I skipped ahead to see if he ends up a part of the harem... he does NOT. Made me DNF.
I read reverse harem because I want her to have it all.. and her entire relationship with Wilder so far felt like a tease? Like.. what is the point? I assume he is going to be in a different one of her books but it was just distracting from Violet's relationship with the other guys. Was frustrating to read about the alphas treating him like crap even though he was helping Violet, and Violet apparently just using him for the comfort a beta can bring.
That being said, outside of that I did like the author's style for the most part. I might try another one of their books but still annoyed about Wilder at the moment.

I looooove Omegaverse books - something about the overprotective, big, hulking alphas literally panicking at a whimper is just *chef kisses*; Belated Omega definitely delivers the alpha/omega dynamic that I crave. There are some continuity issues in the book that stood out, not enough to cause me to DNF, but I definitely rolled my eyes a few times. There were a few instances where information was presented and just "accepted" without anymore explanation- so we're lacking a little worldbuilding throughout the book. I liked that the book wasn't just a fluffy omegaverse with "oh no my nest isn't perfect" issues- but has a darker, more intense problem. It reminded me a little of the Luna and Sol Omegaverse series by Emilia Emerson.
If you’re an OV reader.. well even if you’re not you need this series. I started on like book3 🥴 And had to immediately get the entire series about 1/3 of the way through! There’s a bit of action, and the heroes are hot military/law enforcement types that save their beloved omega and others from gods awful alphas. The romance is so sweet, none of that angsty bs of someone not wanting the bonds, or the omega running away because she’s insecure. All parties know what they want and work for it! Off to book two so I’ll be caught up for book four! 🤭🤭 Happy Reading Friends!
I loved every second of this book I felt so drawn in to these characters both the good and the bad was present in every sentence. I don’t mind reading dark romance, but I’ll say there are dark theme mention but nothing bad happens to the main female characters. The males however do have a dangerous job so there is a bit of suspense there. I really would have like a beta to join this pack but I totally understand why it wasn’t really needed for this book. I’m just sad Wilder didn’t get an omega to love. Here is hoping for more of this omegaverse series!
Steamy and sweet omegaverse. 🔸️The story has some thrilling, action packed begining, heart warming middle section and spicy ending. 🔸️FMC is a 26 y.o. fierce omega who gets herself a pack of 4 doting Alphas. Each of her male is different in age and character but all are fully devoted to her. 🔸️The great part of the story concentrates on healing trauma, finding emotional safety and creating solid foundations for relationship. 🔸️The spice has heavy accent on scenting, knotting and nesting. 🔸️Smooth and easy to read. For all fans of kind, gentle and supportive Alphas.
Seriously! What was the point of having Wilder and his POV in this story? The alphas were so territorial and such jerks to him that I couldn't even bring myself to like them. I felt like they treated him like shit because he was a beta. And it turns out Violet didn't like him romantically either. So Wilder was basically used whenever they found him resourceful.
I ended up skimming the book because I didn't care for any of the alphas or Violet. Wilder is the one I was interested in. Good thing he gets his own book smh.
Violet had been a beta and turned omega late (like 26) then taken by traffickers. Mac, Andrei, Liam and Chase work for ORE who were sent to rescue her and a bunch of other omegas in a raid. Unfortunately only a handful survived but when they saw her they knew she was theirs (scent match).
Violet has some trauma to overcome but she's strong. The guys certainly didn't expect to find their scent match!
I enjoyed this story except for each time there was mention of a male omega being pregnant! It added nothing to the story at all .. but it definitely detracted from it .. just so absurd .. was shocking in its ridiculousness and not a concept I’ve Ever come across in the hundreds of books I’ve read. So quite frankly am not sure why the author would even bother introducing it. Not sure I’d read more from this author now .
Wow so much death right at the front. I wasn’t expecting it to be so dark. 10% in and I’m like WTH! Still going to try and finish it but wow had to mark it as dark so I wouldn’t forget just in case. I know some people are upset about the guys not being described by their appearance much but I honestly remember the scents better than the detailed descriptions of their whole appearance. It’s all about that scent with omegaverse!

Wilder is a beta and I have no freaking idea why the author kept hanging him in front of us as if he might join the pack. It was at like 62% before I believe they really won’t end up together. They didn’t flesh out a friendship but he kept showing up. It was weird to me and annoying.
This book was fine. It had some good ideas and sometimes good execution but it was also kind of a mess.
Enjoyed the story … well, most of it. The fact that male omegas got pregnant was different, but each time I read that it pulled me out of the story as kept trying to work out how it was physically possible. Definitely not something I was a fan of. As I read it though I was having a lot of trouble connecting with the characters to the point the one I liked most wasn’t even part of the pack he was there simply to set up future stories.
Belated Omega follows Violet in the aftermath of her being rescued from a facility that is holding omegas hostage. I enjoyed reading this book, the story was interesting and I enjoyed the dynamics between the FMC and the MMCs. Overall, a good book that I would recommend.
So exciting, the kidnapping, escapes, then finding your mates and then being attacked again. Poor Violet did not present as an Omega until later. Her parents threw her out of the house and she has gotten by, until she was kidnapped. No one even knew she was gone. Now she had to fight to keep herself safe. Would anyone help her?
I fell in love with the characters first!!! Then the whole story. The storytelling was absolutely fantastic from page 1 to the end. Even the hint that 1 character was going into another book in the series. You have made a solid foundation starting with this book moving it into the next book in the series.
First time reading this author and I was pleasantly surprised. Told from all POV, each alpha brought a little something to the storyline. Fast paced with some intrigue. The instant attraction was a bonus with some MM thrown in to add to the spice. Well written and definitely going to read the second book.
I loved the steam and action. Violet was a kick butt heroine. Smart, tough, sweet. I like a bit of sass too. This story had it. I would have liked more story around the compounds. Despite that, I enjoyed it. 🔥🔥🔥🔥.5/5
I absolutely loved this book. I loved Violet and watched has she fell in love with the pack. I loved all the guys characters and how each were so diff but fit together. Definitely a great read!
This book was so good omg I couldn't stop reading this book!! Love these types of books. And the spice in this book! And MM in this book YASSSS it's a poly romance book that has MM in it! Amazing author as well!
