Whether madonna, muse or temptress, women have been a source of artistic inspiration throughout history. In the Reveries series, Parkstone pays tribute to the important contribution women have made to artists by uplifting their spirits and giving free reign to their fantasies. We invite you to share the erotic world of well-known painters such as Degas and Schiele. This new genre of art book offers a glimpse into the private lives of some of the most influential artists of modern times. The most striking features of the Reveries series are their brief texts, sophisticated layouts, and high-quality reproductions. Each title pays homage to the artists oeuvre and the elegant layouts include some rarely-seen images. Every page benefits from a unique design and offers a unique setting for some of the most sensual works of Degas, Schiele. Modigliani and Toulouse-Lautrec. These publications should be considered as works of art themselves, a delight for the enthusiast; instructive for the novice; a welcome and valuable addition to any library.

Kresby tužkou, erotické akty a pomocí nich vyjádření sebe sama. Sebereflexe a vyjádření pocitů pomocí svých děl.
Bouřlivák a zároveň outsider - alespoň on sám sebe za outsidera považoval.

I'm not a hundred percent sure that this is the right book ? I read it at a friend's house last week-end and totally forgot to keep record of the ISBN/author etc.. Same cover though.

So if it is indeed the same one, the quality of paper is gorgeous but there were far more illustrations than text pages, I would have appreciated more details on the pieces etc. Nonetheless a gorgeous book to own or gift for any art enthusiast.

“To inhibit an artist is a crime. It is called murder of life coming into being”.

You can keep on scrolling…. just a girl upset that she wasn’t born in the early 20th century together with this man 😔😔😔😔😔😔😔

My birthday is two days after Schiele’s death and two days before Gerstl’s death and I refuse to call it anything but destiny

The way he posed in his photos and self-portraits…. I have the purest form of admiration to that man’s soul

I like how this book is constructed - first half being the biography, the other being the paintings.
Personal bias wants me to say “it wasn’t as good as the one about Gerstl” but in general a good and enjoyable read. Very fascinating to see a distinction between paintings/drawings influenced by Klimt and those that were not. Beautifully expressive art. Perfectly incorporates early 20th century obsession with sexuality. (Freud was mentioned 5 times)
