About the author

James DiEugenio is one of the foremost researchers into the major assassinations of the 1960's. His first book: Destiny Betrayed, was an in depth look at the Garrison investigation. In 1993 he co-founded both Citizens for Truth about the Kennedy Assassination (CTKA), and the following year: the Coalition on Political Assassinations (COPA). Along with Lisa Pease he co-edited COPA's journal: Probe Magazine from 1993-2000, and later assisted in a compilation of the Probe articles which was published as The Assassinations. In response to Vincent Bugliosi's Reclaiming History and associated film Parkland, DiEugenio published Reclaiming Parkland, a critique of Bugliosi's methodology, evidence, and findings in the Kennedy Asassination.

Nine out of ten for this one. I've spent almost a week reading through this books almost seven hundred pages and many other things have impinged upon my reading time. I will meet with Mr DiEugenio in the coming weeks, so I thought it only polite to be familiar with some of his work.
'The Assassinations:Probe Magazine on JFK,MLK,RFK and Malcolm X' is a fantastic collection of articles edited and written by DiEugenio and Lisa Pease, with contributions from other researchers. Covering JFK are essays from Donald Gibson and the mind boggling investigations of John Armstrong from his 'Harvey and Lee' book, which I have not yet read, along with the CIA/Angleton probe from Pease, and more from the likes of William Davy, Gaeton Fonzi and John Newman. Of these four murders, I am most familiar with the JFK case, but I found so much new and disturbing information covered in this section. As old Ben said, "half the truth is often a great lie."
The section on Malcolm X is written by James Douglass, whose excellent 'JFK and the Unspeakable' remains one of my favourite books. Douglass also writes a section on the MLK case. Perhaps this is the most revelatory part of the whole book, as MLK's actual killer is named here, and so this is a first 'case closed', which is the work of researchers and not fed or government investigations.
The RFK murder is covered by DiEugenio and Pease and once again demolishes the 'official' lies and produces evidence that is new to me, regarding the 'polka dot dress girl' and her accomplices in the setting up of the patsy Sirhan.
To sum up, this is a stunning read. Oswald, Ray and Sirhan are innocent as lone nuts. U.S. government intelligence agencies are guilty of framing these men. To understand the tumult of the 1960's, and indeed where we are today, this book is essential reading, I can't recommend this strongly enough.

Though I am so very tempted to draw conclusions based on all my research, not just from this amazing and thorough book, I fear that it would not be convincing to anyone who is not as informed. And I fear people would just react against any statements I might make. But there are very good reasons for looking at all four of these politically motivated assassinations. One can see patterns. Looking at the well-researched details that are provided in this book will, if not help you draw better conclusions, at least help you ask the right questions.

This book took months to finish,but it was worth it. This book compiles articles from the magazine Probe, and they are great. I recommend this book to anyone who likes conspiracy theory.

Great but disturbing!,,

This book provided evidence of the US government's involvement, overtly or covertly, in the assassinations of four great leaders in our country. It helps understand how we got to the place we are politically...the "neo-cons, the tea party, and now the "alt right." None are legitimate and yet they. are in power. Americans need to "wake up" and read. Cut the TV off and quit the reality shows if we are to take our country back.id never really put the assassinations together in context but now, it is all connected.

The information given were like confirmations of what you believed happened. In some cases you were given amazing insight. Saying this gave me the complete picture may be a stretch but I felt the info was very likely to be true.
