~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Pre Teens- One Star New Teens- Two Stars Early High School Teens- Three Stars Older High School Teens- Four Stars My personal Rating- Four Stars All the books in this trilogy are such unique ones, but I have to say that this final book is my favorite of the series! Tangie’s personality is so exciting and fun! Since this is a Janice Thompson book, it’s already a given that there will be lots of Spiritual Content, but this one had tons, which I loved. The epilogue is also a favorite of mine and so sweet! :)
Tangie is a great fun-loving character and with Gregg by her side they prove that opposites do attract. I loved their chemistry and their arguments. Cody, Margaret and Annabelle show how little kids are. The best story of this series was definitely saved for the last one.
This 3rd and final book in the Boardwalk Brides series ended up being my favorite. I loved the creativity shown and enjoyed how the main character was so comfortable expressing that creativity with her personal style.
What a heartwarming book ! I would recommend al 3 books in this series ! Your left with such A Warm Fuzzy Feeling ! To God Be The Glory for these Awesome Books 😍
This is a sweet story about the theater and those who strive to succeed there. Tangie comes home to Harmony after being discouraged in New York and her failure to get a leading role, well, any role that lasted for more a week or two. She takes a job as the drama director in a local church. The locals don't quite know what to make of her out of the ordinary way of dressing. But she soon wins them over. You feel her pain as she tries to produce an Easter program with kids who are untrained, at best. But, "the show must go on", and it does in grand fashion. Now you have to read the book to find out if she stays in Harmony with the man she's come to love, or will she go to New York and garner that leading lady role? You won't be disappointed in her choice.
This is the 3rd book in the series about 3 sisters from Atlantic City. The last sister is Tangie, the actress who moved to NY and performed in some shows off Broadway. Her grandmother calls her and talks her into serving as the drama director in NJ at their church. That is where the story unfolds.
What I like about these books is the strong Christian theme without it being pushy. I enjoy reading about those that have a strong faith (although it may be tested at times!) and knowing that there is more for themselves and they have to let it play out.
The romance was sweet between here and Gregg and it was comical to see how everyone else was setting them up at different times.
There is a simple, sweet harmony throughout this tale. No real surprises and quite predictable--but then we do not always need multilayered, complex, deeply developed stories. Being reminded of simple truths leaves me smiling and content every time. I enjoyed seeing the changes in people's lives and there was much that was very realistic. I suspect this author has some real life experience with kids and plays! I enjoyed the absence of preaching and the focus on what applying faith to real life looks like. All in all, this is a light, but satisfying read.
I liked this book more than I thought I would! The storyline and characters were fun. The romance was sweet, but I wish we could've had more of it. There was some nice chemistry between Tangie and Gregg and we did get some great romantic moments, but they never actually go on a date or show a lot of affection towards each other. So I wish there would've been a bit more physical affection in the book. But still at overall good book!
There is a major Christian/faith theme throughout this book, but I didn't feel it was preachy or overly cheesy and out of place. I felt it fit and flowed with the story and characters.
Talk about opposites attracting..what do you get when you mix an out of work actress with a straight and narrow male...sparks..and sweet, sweet harmony....at first I didn't get the name after the other two sisters books were somewhat named after themselves...but after reading..it made perfect sense. Great book!!
This is a very sweet story that will warm any Christian's heart. It is the story of two gifted artists that meet during the making of a church play. I liked the two main characters and liked the ending of the story. If you're looking for a sweet, pleasant story with a Christian undercurrent, you'll enjoy this one.
All three books in this series were great, but this was my favorite! It is funny, wholesome, sweet and has amazing characters that make you want to move straight to Harmony so you can become part of the community.
Rating of 5 stars based on enjoyment of author's writing stylell, ability to develop interesting characters, fast paced. Good plot, lots of action. Recommend to women of all ages who like Christian reading.
I loved this book so much. I fell in love with Tangie. The humor along with the great writing and inspirational thread added to the wonderful package. Even the precious children Tangie interacted with were adorable. Another wonderful book.
This was a very sweet and touching story. I love when a Christian author uses allegories to display the love of Christ. It was such a cute story and left me with a smile on my face.
