A concerned sister...

Chloe Madison would do anything to find her missing brother. When she stumbles upon some information that leads her to a nearby military science facility, she doesn't hesitate to sneak under the barbed wire fence and steal some files. Everything seems to be going to plan. That is, until a handsome soldier finds her with her hands in his filing cabinet. Instead of reporting her, he lets her go. She hurries home, his golden eyes all she can think of.

A broken soldier...

Captain Jackson Wolfe just returned from a hellish tour of duty in Afghanistan. Scarred and hiding terrible secrets, he is sent to a desk job. He just recently found out the hard way that he was a werewolf. Not only that, as far as he knows, he's the only one of his kind. He knows he shouldn't be around people and keeps to himself until he sees Chloe stealing files. He knows he should stop her, but her scent and something in her eyes stops him.

A coverup worth killing for...

When Wolfe follows Chloe to the library, he discovers that he's not the only one of his kind. Someone doesn't like that Chloe has been digging around, threatening to expose the secrets of her brother and the wolf shifters. In fact, they're willing to kill to stop her.

Wolfe knows that he must protect Chloe. After all, she may be the only thing that can save him from himself.

This one was a little boring and repetitive but I like the storyline. I'm more interested in what will happen to Chloe's brother and the other soldiers and how they will blend with the other werewolves.

I was trying to write a Kisses book (Sandcastle Kisses A Billionaire Love Story The Kisses Series 5 but Captain Wolfe would not get out of my head.

Let me tell you, it is hard to write about a billionaire when a werewolf keeps jumping in.

So, I sat down and wrote him his story.
I LOVED writing this book. It flowed, it came almost effortlessly. I hit publish and waited anxiously to see it perform.

Unfortunately, it was plagued by glitches. We had to re-publish on Amazon due to a glitch that made it invisible to Amazon's ranking system. The book would sell, but it was dropping off the charts and losing all visibility. That in turn led to other problems, which meant that Wolf Six never performed like I thought it would.

Someday I'd like to write more about Captain Wolf. I have a plot bubbling on a back burner with how the conspiracy goes deeper and higher up, but I have other books I have to write first so I can pay my bills.

So, unfortunately, there won't be a sequel for a while. I hope to someday come back to the project and make it work the way I know it can, but for now, it's just not on the schedule. :/

Loved it! I loved Jackson who is the main alpha male but whose a really lovely guy but haunted by what his done and those his lost! He soon learns that sometimes bad things can happen when trying to protect yourself and those around you with some help from Chloe. Who he later finds out is his 'fated one'! They make a great pair. As this is a book 1 there is loads of potential for more stories in this new series, I'm so looking forward to book 2 and finding out whose story it will be!!!

A good book, shifters, fated mates and steamy scenes. I liked the plot but it was written with naive and simplistic characters, and except for the steam, it felt very teenage. They were so sugary sweet, the evil was OTT, and the h's was more a 'suzy home-maker' than PHD student. Not sure that this author is for an adult audience.

A good light paranormal romantic suspense

Captain Jackson Wolfe, Army Intelligence, lost his whole team to betrayal. The rage triggered a transformations. Now stationed in a small remote base state side, he struggles with nightmares and his inner wolf.
Chloe Madison is a grad student working on a PhD in generics. Her young brother an Army Specialist in language stopped writing 6 months ago. Deep down she knows something is wrong. A tip from one of Blake's friends leads to a small base and her brothers medical file, where she meets Jackson. Jackson finds he isn't the only one with an inner wolf.
Jackson and Chloe are draw together. He fears he will hurt her. He can't seem to stay away. Her professor seems to know why. They know where her brother is and what is being done to him. Jackson, Doctor Turner and Chloe are out to rescue him and put a stop to the Lycan Project.
A steamy light paranormal romantic suspense. Liked Chloe and Jackson's story. Would be nice for Blake and his two friends to get a story as well

Overall a great story.
Wolfe turned into a werewolf last year, he want not bitten nor born full wolf, he just has the Lucan gene that certain people carries, there was a full blooded werewolf in the family tree. A stress event causes the turn of it happened and for an Army Captain in Afghanistan one even caused his turn. Now back on American soil and dealing with PTSD he is angry and depressed all the time until he smells something heavenly.
Chloe spent 6 months looking and getting secret files on her missing brother when B&E at the fort she seeks medical files on her brother when a caption finds her in the file room letting her go with no fuss, but’s it not the last she sees of the sexy yellowed eye captain.

My second time reading this and I still thoroughly enjoyed this different shifter tale.
A traumatic event triggers Wolfe’s latent lycan gene.
Trying to keep away from people he gets assigned to a desk job.
Enter Chloe who has been hunting for her missing brother Blake for months. The military are lying to her about him and Chloe has to find out what happened about medical research he enlisted for.
Luckily Chloe is studying genetics which comes in handy as we have the crazy General trying to make super soldiers.
Wolfe and Chloe have an insta lust-love thing but it doesn’t detract or cause annoyance from the main story.
Whilst this plot has been done loads of times now, I really hope Ms Lakes one day writes more stories about these characters as they have caught my attention.

good book without too much to say except that the romance was very quick and the attraction and sex a bit too quick to come on board but it's explained why at the end sooooo... i guess it was alright ;)

a good book to read when you're tired and don't want to think too much but still want to enjoy a lil plot and action and sexual tension paranormal romance!

Uh... Well?....

So, it all starts with Captain Jackson Wolfe (pun made, move on) within drive to stay away from any other people so he doesn't hurt anyone, and repeat his past violence. Chloe is a college student studying genetics.

Chloe is trying to find her brother who disappeared several months before, the last letter he sent giving a distress code they came up with when they were kids. After receiving a tip, she checks out this Army base for answers, and meets Jackson.

They both share a connection, unable to break the bond, started dreaming of each other, and he finds her. She is now in danger because the enemy wants her out of the way so she can't put the puzzle together. Jackson is going to protect her with his life, but can he protect her from himself?

So, the story was good, and I got wrapped up in it easily enough, but it was too convenient. I mean, they started having sex in the third chapter, in a dream.... a dream. Copout to the max.

I would have enjoyed it more if the characters had more depth and less sex, reality irrelevant. I would have appreciated more in depth villainous planning, maybe what the colonel planned after the experiments succeeded, or even how the wolves are approaching their "end of species" dilemma.

At the end, Jackson's big dark transgressions are revealed, but it wasn't soul altering. PTSD worthy, sure, but not soul blackening. Self defense doesn't constitute such guilt.

Charlie's career choice adds nothing to the story, unless this is expected to become a series, and she plans on helping the Dr continue the research. The USB is only referenced once, when the data is handed over to Jackson.

I just wish there was more. Not better, really, just... more.

At least 3 1/2.... Review will be posted soon.

The length of this one did it in…. It wasn’t exactly a novella, but it wasn’t quite novel length either. It had a lot of promise, but I wanted more… *sigh*

Chloe was a great female lead. She was strong, brave and totally dedicated to the people she loved. Regardless of how strong and determined she was, I think her character was the main reason why I wanted more. She had a lot to come to terms with in Wolf Six’s Salvation. The fact that she seemed to just accept whatever was thrown at her information wise… I really liked that about her, but I still think that even the strongest most level headed person in the world would still need some time to adjust to discovering a world they didn’t know existed. I liked her character and I loved her with Wolfe, but more ‘adjustment time would have added a lot to their story.

Wolfe was the perfect broken alpha male. I liked the whole wolf concept in this story. It was just familiar enough to go along with the shifter ‘norm’ yet unique enough to put a new spin on it. Wolfe had his own discoveries to make, but given the fact that he was part of the myth made his acceptance a little more believable.

Regardless of my qualms about Wolf Six’s Salvation‘s length and the depth that it was missing at times, I really liked this story and the world that Krista Lakes created. I saw no hints of a series with this book, but there is a fair amount of potential there. Plus, there’s still a lot that I’d like to know about the pack and its members.

Maybe more of a 3.5, but a good tale I would recommend it to shifter lovers.
A little too heavy on the sex at one point; it always seems that happens when a book adds in dream sex.
Also, there was a question as to baby status from a full and partial were.... and she commented how impressive that question was... really? Pretty basic and common! Plus, her terminology just wasn't scientific... a bajillion degrees below, etc. She couldn't think to look up the words Lycan project on the internet to know what a lycan is?? Again, basic. Not really buying her smarts. I think her personality and strengths would have made her a better fit as a psy major with her understanding, empathy, able to talk a wolf down and it fits with what they say about mates being alike, because Jackson was also a psy major. I know you felt it was an easy tie in to get a geneticist as her advisor, but I would have made him her uncle or something. I thought that Jackson and the other characters were well written and true to character. I still enjoyed reading it:)

This book was GREAT. I have been reading books by Krista Lakes as of late and have been very impressed by her writing style and her stories. They always have a great level of paranormal, sexy romance, and suspense weaved in beautifully. As a fellow author, Krista Lakes' works inspire me and I believe I have learned to be a better writer since reading her works.

She has excellent imagery and characters, which is taken to a whole new level in this book. Jackson Wolfe is such a complicated character, as are the rest of them.

I would definitely recommend this book. Give it a read, it won't let you down!

Salvation

I really, really enjoyed this story. It has so much emotion involved.

He's is afraid of his wolf becoming out of control and hurting someone. He is torn in his soul because of his feelings for her.

She is trying to find out what happened to her brother, and gets caught trying to find out.

She feels such a strong connection to him and trust that he would never hurt her.

There is so much more to this story and so many connections, and feel there should be more writings on this.

This was well written. I'm not sure if the author will write more in this style but I hope so.

I will admit, I was kinda disappointed in this one. There was such a great array of options for this storyline, but it the story was fairly predictable, and lacked any real drama. There were opportunities to really expand some areas, but the writer probably skipped them to keep the story novella-length. That being said, the writing was fairly good, and it was worth it as I picked up the book for free on Amazon. I'd like to try something else by this author, but I think the writer is more plot driven than character driven, which is my reading preference

I've gave up at 30%. I just wasn't feeling anything for these characters or the plot-line.

Jackson Wolfe is Captain in the Military that didn't know he was a wolf until stress triggered his transformation, that I get but c'mon!

Jackson Wolfe, and a member of Wolfe Squad ---how cliche! I've read so many shifter books with that surname. Not very original!

Bad taste! Between the Epi and Chapter 1 an authors note to sign up for future work.

I did skip to the end for giggles and it doesn't redeem itself for me.

Wolf's Six Salvation had a different take on the werewolf genre which is actually a nice change. You do get a bit redundant with the "alpha" male persona but that's a bit to be expected I think. The story itself was well written and kept things moving at a steady pace. The reason it only gets 3 stars is because it isn't a book I'd probably ever feel the need to read again. Fun for the time I read it and a nice diversion but that was it.

YAY, one of favourite authors and one of my favourite genres, so it was bound to be good, and it was.

Loved the concept of this story and can only hope that this becomes a new series, as I desperately want to know more about the other characters and what else happens as the possibilities are endless.

This is incredible! I loved Chloe her fierceness and cleverness was a breath of fresh air. Jackson is a hero and yet he is humble about it. I liked the covert stuff and of her brother being experimented as the plot. Then on a side note a romance that is strong like life mates.i hope there will be more, I want to know what happens after they beat the experiments.

He Did Nothing Wrong

This is a intense exciting hot read. He turns into a monster and he's afraid he is going to hurt someone else. She Knows something is wrong with her brother and things are being hid from her. This story will keep you turning the pages until the end. Enjoy I did.

This book at awesome wolves, a great love story with “fated ones” (mates), love of family, suspense, and a big bad that was really bad.

I love were stories and I loved this book. Highly recommended.

I was all set to give this five stars, but then it got into comic-book science, which always jolts me out of the story. On the other hand, the story itself was fun and the characters were good (and I got it free).

Nice little story that showed a hero with traumatic issues from his past and a strong heroine who helps him to get through these, while also saving her brother from experimentation. Not deep, but it had a fairly credible plot.
