A pleasant surprise

I began this book thinking that the Kite method may be to ID what the 5 paragraph essay is to composition. But while the author has simplified ID for non instructional designers, there's quite a bit of thought put into scaffolding and fleshing out. I would probably have mentioned Bloom's taxonomy on figuring outcomes and Kirkpatrick's levels in the bit about evaluating, not only to help establish what activities or follow-up is needed, but also to have two very established models to point to if the boss asks.

This book was well-organized and easy to read. I thought the author did an especially good job of illustrating an approach to course development that is sound, logical and easy to follow.
