About the author

Georgie Adams is a British children's author and editor. She was born in Tunbridge Wells, and grew up in Kent and Sussex. She was an editor for many years in the UK and Australia, was co-director of a small publishing company in London, before becoming a successful writer of children's books. She has written over 70 books, mostly for young children. Georgie is married to artist and printmaker, Tom Adams, has two daughters and three stepchildren, and lives in a rural part of North Cornwall, overlooking the Kensey Valley.

un libro che ho sempre amato e che ritenevo abbastanza creepy, da piccola. effettivamente la maleducazione fa più paura dei mostri.. in ogni caso, è stato bello rileggere, ancora una volta, uno dei libri-pilastri della mia infanzia. sono grata a mia madre per avermi fatto leggere sempre libri bellissimi, che hanno arricchito non solo le mie idee fantastiche e strampalate, ma mi hanno anche insegnato tante cose. per fortuna che amo i libri, altrimenti non so proprio come sarei potuta diventare ^^

A wonderful collection of stories, perfectly told as if the fairies themselves were talking! And the illastrations are beautiful.
