A fresh new edition of the hugely popular Usborne First Cookbook. Introduces beginner cooks to the basic techniques of cooking through a selection of favourite recipes, including spaghetti bolognese, chocolate brownies, sausage rolls and pancakes. Each recipe contains clear and simple instructions in both word and picture form, illustrated by Stephen Cartwright's busy team of little cooks. With concealed spiral binding to make the book practical and easy to use in the kitchen.
Cute drawings of each recipe. Measures were all by weight; grams and ounces. Without a scale, I would need to convert to cups. Some surprising unfamiliar ingredients: demerara sugar, caster sugar. Too many meat and cheese recipes for this vegan family. Even the brownies have eggs. I'll keep looking for a children's first cookbook.
