از روی عنوان فکر می‌کردم که بیشتر درباره سفرهای ابن‌عربی باشه،ولی شرح‌حال خیلی مختصری‌ست از زندگی ابن‌عربی، آثار و عقایدش و میراث فکری که ازش به‌جا موند. موضوعی که این کتاب رو متمایز می‌کنه، پرداختن به اوضاع اجتماعی و سیاسی و همین‌طور وقایع مهم تاریخی هم‌دوره ابن‌عربی‌ست. ترجمه خیلی خوبی هم داره.

Alhamdulillah, today I humbly completed this profound work — The Voyage of No Return by Claude Addas on the luminous life of Ibn ʿArabi.

Reading it reminds me why Ibn ʿArabi is often called al-Shaykh al-Akbar: his journey was not merely across lands, but across the inner horizons of the soul. One line struck me deeply — that his teachings were destined “to spread over the two horizons, that of the West and the East.”

In a world searching for meaning, his wisdom continues to travel, unbound by geography, time, or culture. And in my own small way, I feel honoured to walk even a few steps along that vast path he illuminated.

May this reading open new doors of understanding and humility

کتاب را پیش از سفر سوییس در میانه‌ی جنگ ۱۲ روزه‌ی اسرائیل علیه ایران خواندم به امید آن‌که در سوییس بتوانم نویسنده‌اش را ببینم اما نیافتمش. عداس دختر مایکل شوتکیویچ است. پدر مدتی شاگرد (شاید باواسطه‌ی) فریتیهوف شوآن بوده.
کتاب کوچک اما پرمغزی است. از این کتاب دو یادگار به هم‌راه خواهم داشت. یکی آن جمله که گفت: خدا به دست مؤمن آفریده می‌شود؛ اگر مؤمن از رفتار مؤمنانه (امنیت‌بخشی و آرام‌دهندگی) دست بکشد دیگر روزنه‌ای برای تماشای خداوند در جهان وجود نخواهد داشت؛ هم برای دیگران و از آن بن‌یادین‌تر، برای خودش!
و دوم آن‌که گفته بود ابن عربی خواب می‌دید از دهانش مو می‌روید و این را به آفرینش دیوان‌های اشعارش تعبیر کرده بود. که برآمده از این‌همانی ریشه‌ی شِعر و شَعر (مو) در عربی است. من هم گاهی این خواب را دیده‌ام.

Terbang Menuju Tuhan.

Ibnu Arabi, tokoh kontroversi sufisme yang menulis hampir empat ratus buah karya; samada falsafah, tafsir Al-Quran mahupun puisi. Sungguhpun penuh kontroversi, pendekatan dalam mencari Tuhan dan perjalanan spiritual menurut gaya sufisme Ibnu Arabi sungguh mengesan dan menyentuh jiwa.

Une introduction ,courte certes.. mais, parfaite pour la rencontre du Sheikh Al Akbar et l’embrassement de la doctrine akbarienne. Elle ne rate aucune des notions chères à notre Sheikh, allant de « l’homme parfait » accompagné dd ses « sceaux » passant « à la distance de deux arcs ou plus près » de « la terre de contemplation » dans « le monde imaginal »…
Claude Addass est définitivement, pour moi, L’auteur ultime pour commencer le voyage vers Ibn Arabe, certainement , un voyage sans retour…

penerjemahannya yang tak bagus. byk typo. salah tatabahasa.

aku boleh tolerate sikit-sikit tapi kalau byk sgt, rasa kurang enak pula membacanya. macam bukan hasil kerja yang serius.

isinya boleh blah la. aku kena cari sumber lain tentang ibn arabi nampaknya ni.

İbn Arabi ve onun tasavvuf yolculuğu hakkında çok kıymetli bir kitap. Kitaba heyecanla başladım ancak çeviride Arapça-Osmanlıca sözcükler o kadar yoğun ve bence gereksiz şekilde kullanılmış ki, maalesef pes edip kitabı okumayı bıraktım. Umarım bu Türkçe çeviriyi, gündelik Türkçe kelimelerle okuma fırsatımız olur.
