I am, slowly but surely, working on collecting this series in physical format at last, so hopefully that will continue to expedite my reading progress.
While the first chapter in this volume felt rather "meh" for me overall, I feel like a lot more of the storycraft really starts to shine through in the two following chapters. Certainly we start to see more layers to the intrigue and treachery going on behind all the events so far, and I do feel like there's an equal balance in this volume between the fighting and the exposition.
Additionally, I realize Seiya himself is meant to be the Shonen Protagonist here, like, the Leader of this Five-Man-Band set-up. But he does the lone-wolf thing so often that I'm starting to come to the conclusion that the two saints who REALLY keep the troop together are actually Shun and Shiryû. The second either of them seem to drift away, the others just seem to fall apart. That's just my opinion thus far, though, and it could be argued that I have some bias there. At the very least, I don't really care much at all about Seiya himself, and nothing has happened so far to make me care about him or even consider him a decent leader for the bronze saints that we follow.

Alright, now we're getting somewhere...! I was primarily drawn to this manga simply for its historic significance as a Jump battle manga, but also specifically because of what I understood to be an influence on Bleach's Aizen by the Gold Saints Arc here. With the (quick) defeat of a lot of the Silver Saints, The Master starts sending Gold Saints after Seiya and the gang. As I believe I know the true identity of The Master (he corresponds to my own starsign, actually), it's kinda funny to see what looks to be as very gratuitous foreshadowing, but if I'm not mistaken the "reveal" is meant to happen soon enough anyway....
Well, before we get too deep into the Gold Saints, I have to say it's pretty cool to see Ikki shit on Capella with the brutal illusion attack. Kind of the same shit as something I dimly recall from an earlier battle, but dope nonetheless.
The battle against Algol is definitely the best of the Silver fights. Basically just because it's one of the longest, honestly. It's a bit of a shame Shun gets dropped so easily, but I guess he had his victory against Dante, so whatever. Shiryū gets his moment to shine here, though I'm pretty concerned about the ending; his gouges his eyes out to defend himself against the Medusa Shield, but it's later alluded that there's a magic medicine in China that may heal his eyes, which... kinda diminishes the significance. Oh well....
Shaina still got a booty, by the way.

Informacja, kim jest ojciec całej naszej Srebrnej Gromady (i zapewne wielu innych) powaliła mnie z nóg. No normalnie jakiś Czyngis-Chan z dziada, taki dupcarz. Ale skoro już chciał mieć swój mały prywatny folwark żołnierzy, musiał sobie go zapewnić. Ciekawi mnie tylko jak; wiecie, po dobroci czy jednak nie. Stawiam tak 50/50.
Niemniej chłopaki się ogarnęli i poszli na spotkanie z Ateną, ale nie wydaje się, by odbyło się ono w miłej atmosferze. Co więcej, Saori odpalił się godmode i już z gadką wybrańców wyjechała. I ona wiedziała. Wiedziała, a nic nie powiedziała i patrząc na to, jakie relacje mieli w dzieciństwie, to mnie żółć zalewa. To, co powiedziała to opowieść jak trafiła do Kido i chyba tym próbowała usprawiedliwić siebie i tego starego. No, jak cię zżera poczucie winy, szukasz choćby i małego ukojenia. Ale Saori jest wcieleniem Ateny, więc no, może robić, co chce, prawda? Nom.
Ale to nie jest najważniejsze, bo ważniejsze jest, czy Ikki faktycznie ratuje Saori przy okazji (bo Seiya ratowany jest dla podtrzymania fabuły) czy jednak nasz Ognisty kolega się ogarnął. Oby, bo go lubię i chciałabym częściej widzieć. Shiryu jest najlepszy, słyszał legendę o Rycerzu Perseusza, ale nie pamięta jej. Brawo, tylko pozazdrościć, ale może trzeba było za dzieciaka czytać mity, to mogłoby ciut pomóc, wiecie, skojarzenia i te sprawy.
Ano i jeszcze pojawili się Złoci Rycerze. Znaczy, na razie to jest marna reprezentacja i do tego jest to Lew, za którym nie przepadam jakoś mocno, no ale są. I będą kolejni, to tylko kwestia czasu.

Por algún motivo fui medio tibio al puntuar estos tomos, pero sé que a nivel técnico envejecieron muy mal en cuanto a esta edición. Igual tendría que revisar el contenido por más que las futuras relecturas seguro las haga de la kanzenban y no en esta vieja tankoubon antediluviana.
