If you truly want to change your life in 30-days, then I highly suggest this book! It was so amazing and life-changing for me, that I am now on to Rhonda’s book Fearless Living.
For me, Change Your Life in 30 Days was so inspiring and well written that I couldn’t put it down. The author, Rhonda Britten, made me feel as though she was coaching me one-on-one each and every day. It does take a heartfelt commitment but if you are willing, your rewards are endless. For me, I can say I truly had the courage to conquer some of those long-awaited changes that I dreaded to take on.
Get a journal for this book as you may find you want one. I filled up one and a half of those little black and white comp books, even decorating one of the covers for more inspiration. If you choose it, I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!
I’ve loved Rhonda Britten every since the reality show STARTING OVER. I finally read this book and was completely satisfied. One of my favorite parts was discussing motivation and that hard work and action must be taken before motivation. Motivation isn’t a magic occurrence that suddenly changes you and enables you to act… motivation is an effect. A lot of life is about choice. Even when something “happens” to us, we still have a choice to react how we want to the happening. I hope I can fully apply all that I learned and pondered during this book. Thanks Rhonda!
I really enjoyed this book. Full of helpful exercises to take you out of your comfort zone and change you life. This book definitely helped me with a lot of things that I was putting off and took me out of my comfort zone a few times. Great book. Highly recommend 💜
This was a book originally given to my sister by my father but was curious what the book was about. She starts in day 1 that in the beginning we need to learn to say no, create boundaries, give up on people pleasing, releasing false friends and make new ones. I've read this in a similar book before but did have to learn how to say no and able to release false friends, since I rarely have them any way. Ultimately, it is about changing your life to find your true self. Day 2 is about filtering the thing that come into your mind. Day 3 is working on building confidence and see results. This is what I need the most in some areas of my life, especially when it comes to career. I like the part about purpose is in you and passion makes you succeed. Affirmation keeps you focused.
Out of all the examples or stories shared, I couldn't believe she shared about her father killing her mother then himself before her very eyes. Her and her sister became orphans from that day forth; family spoke about them in third person. Now she's a life coach and much more, willing to share with those who want to get their lives back on track; or start to walk in their new life on purpose.
There were countless, helpful tips to consider when you want to be the best you can be. (I will mail this book to my sister soon and hopefully she'll read it).
Highlights: 1. Being vulnerable means you have to ask for help by being specific.
2. Change isn’t measured by the rate of change, but by the permanence of continual growth.
3. Learning to be grateful in the moment will open your eyes to a world that is more loving, giving, and hopeful than you previously imagined. It will give you the courage to keep facing your fears.
4. Being true to yourself takes a willingness to be fearless.
5. We must trust ourselves if we are ever going to be happy with our success.
6. Each day you must be willing to give up all you know to find out more of what of what you don’t.
7. You must risk if you want to live a life that you would be proud to call your own.
8. You have to be willing to be wrong about everything you know to have a better life.
9. If you were true to yourself, you could love yourself better.
10. When you have boundaries in place, you are free to risk because you know your limits.
I listened to this book on CD in my car. Rhonda had so many great insights and questions to ponder, but I didn't have the chance to go through the program as she meant for the reader/listener to go through it. I would definitely recommend reading the book and going though it day by day as she suggests.
This book gave me a lot of ideas to being more true to myself. Sometimes I think I lose myself because I stay at home and take care of my kids all day every day, but that doesn't need to be the case. I can still be the person I want to be and do the things I want to do while still being there for my kids and meeting all of their needs.
Overall, I didn't feel this book asked the right questions to really change your life. The journey of life has many answers and memories, but the 30 day journey just didn't touch enough on how to get over the past and focus on the future.
I am learning SO much from this book, it really challenges and pushes you if you are willing to do the exercises in it. I'm on Day 19 and amazed at the difference it is making.
Love her story, how she writes, and how she nails big concepts on the head. Not very realistic to change your life in 30 days...but maybe change how you think.
