Great advice

The book has great advice. In taking a new role supporting an executive, I wanted to know more of how executives think and operate. This book gave me some great ideas in preparing for future career moves into leadership.

I did not bother finishing this book. The strategies and models offered are highly oversimplified.

In Your First 100 Days in a New Executive Job, authors Robert Hargrove and Niamh O’Keeffe offer valuable insights for leaders stepping into new roles. However, it’s essential to recognize that any advice—whether from Hargrove or O’Keeffe—may carry subtle biases based on their own experiences and perspectives.

It is a good start but pretty broad brush

good summary level book but I am not certain that there is tremendous applicability across government and business. could probably use more of a deep dive join one or the other.

Very good read for new leaders

I really enjoyed this book and took away many actionable insight for my first 100 days. It was practical yet inspirational, tactical yet strategic. The author did a nice job of balancing political landscape issues with team issues and focusing on your day job. I can honestly say that much of the info was net new or at least introduced a perspective I had not considered. Overall reading this book was time well spent. High ROI
