Inghilterra - Scozia, 1817.
Lord Dominic Lansdowne may be considered a Rake with one of the worst reputations but Juliet can't let that stop her for going to work for him. Her brother is locked up because he can't pay his bills. It is up to her to help him get out of that horrible place.
Lord Dominic has never lowered himself to chasing after the help. He had plenty of other willing partners. But for some reason he just can't get Miss Lockwood out of his head. She isn't the type of woman that he can just have a fling with and walk away. He soon learns he doesn't want to ever walk away but Miss Lockwood needs some convincing before he declares anything.
Good read, I was caught up in the story and enjoyed the characters.
This book was ok. I liked the characters and the story line but it didn't really hold my attention all that well. (Don't really know if it was the book or my mood...) Things seemed a little drawn out in the end and the back and forth was wearing thin. Most of the book was pretty good and the emotions came thru pretty good. This was written well with maybe a couple of spots that I had to read again to get it. I wouldn't have this book on my shelf, but I wouldn't mind reading it again if there wasn't anything else to read or do. Good Luck.
