For The Sake Of Her Child

Anna Bradly knew she had to abandon her baby and make a new life if her son is to have a future. She is befriended by gruff, but tender, Maggie Fellen and builds up a successful business, finding a measure of happiness with Edward Royce. But the happiness does not last. Tragedy robs her of both husband and livelihood and once more she must rebuild her fortune. When fate leads her back to her roots, it is to a confrontation that could break -- or mend -- her heart.

Really enjoyed this, But then I do enjoy the older fashioned period books. I'd like to have more of what happened after they reconnected, as the ending felt rather abrupt .

Although I shelved this book under romance, I would not really say this is a romantic book. This book is mostly about struggle and heartbreak. It is very well written, and I will definitely read more books from this author.
