HELL HATH NO FURY is the sixth in the series of western novels based on the character Jess Williams. In book six, Jess Williams finds out that the only woman he had ever gotten close to has been raped, beaten and murdered by two men. In a rage of fury, he sets out to hunt down the two men responsible.
As he does, fate comes into play when Jess meets up with a woman by the name of Annie McCracken, who happened to have been raped by the same two men that Jess is tracking down. Jess is in for one wild ride when he agrees to let Annie McCracken ride with him and find the two men that the both of them are hunting. Jess has never had a woman for a partner and Annie proves to be more than a handful. The wild and sometimes funny banter that takes place between Jess and Annie will keep you turning the pages, but make no mistake, this is yet another action-packed western with lots of lead flying and lots of men dying at the skillful hands of Jess Williams.

In 1990 Robert J. Thomas was sworn in as the full time mayor for the city of Westland, Michigan. He served twelve years, making him the longest serving mayor in Westland's history.
While he was mayor he wrote his first book titled, How to Run for Local Office, which has now sold over 25,000 copies worldwide.
He has written and published on Kindle, the Jess Williams Westerns series. Retired, he now lives in Mississippi with his wfe Jill.
I read the first 5 books one after the other. Then came Annie,, I don't know why she came,,,she didn't add anything to the ongoing saga,,, she's not likeable,, I was really pretty annoyed with Mr.Thomas,, I still am,,,killed Ingrid off for what ,,? To introduce Annie ? Bad choice in my opinion,,, and he was lazy,,he didn't even try to make her someone to be fond of and to look forward to reading more about,,,The best part of this book was the end.
Jess is still hunting murderers and rapists. He agrees to help a woman victim seek revenge on two men. She follows Jess on the journey, and they finally complete the mission.
Another good story. However I found it too predictable. Anne brought a good twist to the story that we have not seen before. The banter between them is hilarious which is why I rated it a four star.
There is so much going on in one of these westerns that it kept me reading beginning to end. Every time I complete a book, I have to download the next. Thanks for great writing.
I read this to study why the series has gained so much support. The body count was staggering--I counted 28 men felled by lead character, mostly casually and with a smile on his face. Nearly every one involved old Jess removing his hammer loop in preparation and with him "slicking" his pistol of out his holster before plugging them several times on the way down.
The characters are one-dimensional, the dialogue juvenile (the two lead characters are constantly "retorting" to one another, and the scenes are interchangeable. But the action is relentless, and I guess that's what the consumers of this genre value above all else.
Love the story and characters. R. Thomas writes a good shootout as well as a good love scene. He even had me laughing at one point. I just bought the next in this series. Then, I'm jumping to his newest book, 31? If the newest has more than 5 editing errors then that's where I stop. Otherwise, the author can tell a fine tale.
A great love story that still kept the integrity of the Jess Williams series. My only hope is that Annie and Jess find a way to get married and start a family some how. I know that seems doubtful with the lifestyle that Jess lives but I am remaining hopeful. He deserves it after all he has been through.
Another good story, but Thomas needs to get another publisher who will actually read the books before he publishes them. The gross number of errors in the book takes away some of the enjoyment reading it. Someone needs to edit all of Thomass' books. Even a spell check would help a lot.
