This isn’t a story that has a solid beginning or an end. It was more like a slice of Patrick’s life. We get to see the ups and downs that he faces in his family life, career and relationship. I found the whole story to be very relatable. Most of the incidents that occurred in his life happened in mine as well. So that realisation sweetened the whole experience. I felt like Roman Koidl(the author) sketched the character (Patrick) keeping me in his mind. The narration is fluid and you might as well imagine a friend sitting beside you and chatting about his life. Because, that’s how I felt. Overall, it’s definitely worth reading and I think it’s fair to say that Roman Koidl has entered the literary world with a solid footprint.
If you loved this one, do check out the author’s second book - The Devil’s Game, which is an out-and-out thriller.
I’m waiting eagerly for his third book, which is in the making.
I was given a copy for free in exchange for an honest review. A fun quick read. This is Patrick's story he is a young man in his twenties trying to find his place in life. But he is stuck in an infinite loop of internships. He does find love but that becomes difficult to manage because of all his internships in his constant search for a career. He does appreciate the support from family and friends and he see's the humour in life. I enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more by Roman Kordi
