I'm a sucker for thesauruses and phrase books. This one is pretty good. There were some occasional odd ducks...like I don't think anyone should use the phrase "swollen masterpiece" but perhaps that's just me. I did get a giggle to see the smallest and last section of the book was the section on sex?!? hahaha My favorite part is facial expressions and alternative words for said.
a very good book for those that feel like they keep using the same words in their work. change some vocab. with this quick pick up and put down source.
This was another gift from a friend. She knew it would help guide me in the writer's world of romance. I thought it was an interesting read. I also feel as if everyone's thought process varies, so for me, this title showed me the thought process of the author and how she thinks like a romance writer. There were some good points and was very insightful.
This book was a god-send! Especially when you are working late trying to finish a scene in your book, and your brain is too tired to make pretty words flow on to the screen anymore. I would recommend this book to any romance writer!
This book is a great tool for any writer who is writing about any kind of human, and if Sci-fi not so human interaction with the characters in your stories. No matter what genre.
There are a lot of words in here. Many of them I probably won't use because of the genre I write in. But I will keep this in my library. I know it will come in handy.
This is a pretty good book to help turn up the spicy ideas for your book. I 3 ☆ stared it because I feel there could have been a lot more words in a lot of the areas. But it is really good IMO ...
