Josselyn has just spent the last three months in intense Line of Defense training so she could join Malcolm’s search party. Little did she know the archangels had no intention of letting her bring back into Heaven an angel who had opened a portal between Heaven and Hell, at least not before saving God's creations from the tight grasp of Lucifer first. Three months have passed since the angel Rhyan released nine repented demons from Hell, and now innocent people are dying, but their souls are not going to Heaven. Josselyn's mission is to find the demon responsible for stealing the souls and bring it to justice before Lucifer gains enough power to rise and claim Heaven and earth as his own. Her whole world is shaken when she discovers what tool Lucifer is using to track down the one key to the release of his eternal damnation. Thoros is one half-souled immortal she prayed she would never see again. The ex-Prince of Lust had stolen her heart and crushed it with a cheeky smile. Now, not only is she being forced to put her damaged ego aside and face the only man that has ever hurt her, but she has to work with him in order to complete her assignment. Is she strong enough to keep from falling in love with him again? Or is their love the only thing that can keep Lucifer from getting the one thing he wants most? Heaven.
This is the third book in the Save My Soul Series. I loved it!
I downloaded this book as an audio book, so that I could listen to it while doing household chores. This audio book was narrated by Pyper Down. I loved her narration; her vocal interpretations of the characters made them come alive. She did a fantastic job! Her voice was melodic and smooth, and I found myself drawn into the story more easily. I would definitely listen to more books narrated by her.
Josselyn is a wonderful character. I really liked her when I met her in Hell's Gate. Getting to know her better in this story has been a pleasure. Although she is an angel, she has an almost "take no prisoners" attitude that I like. Still trying to find Malcolm, Josselyn will have to team up with the last person she would want to. Thoros, the ex-Prince of Lust.
Thoros is also a wonderful character. Being a Prince of Hell, he intrigued me in Hell's Gate, because I wasn't quite sure what his motives were where Josselyn was concerned. However, as I got to know him better, I realised that, even though he was the Prince of Lust, he is really a nice guy. Now living on Earth with half a soul, his life has become a nightmare. Joining Josselyn's mission could either save him, or damn him forever.
I started listening to this story and was quickly hooked. The story is told through various characters' points of view, which made it interesting. In this story we are also introduced to Ethan. He is a courier for hire - mostly drugs and money. He is an ordinary human with an extraordinary destiny. I really liked meeting him. He is actually a very pivotal character in this tale and, as the story progressed, his importance becomes revealed. This story has several twists and turns that completely threw me. There is danger, adventure and romance throughout the book. I loved listening to the sparks fly between Josselyn and Thoros. I found myself giggling at Thoros's thoughts and confusion over his emotions about Josselyn. Yes, he was an ex-Prince of lust, but he has no idea what to do about the emotion of love. Watching him scramble with this emotion made me feel a bit sorry for him. However, his jealous streak shows itself when they visit Limbo and they meet Omega. Omega is a character I wasn't sure whether to like or not. He has a bit of an identity crisis and I couldn't make up my mind whether he was a Dr. Jekyll, or a Mr. Hyde personality type. However, things are not as they seem and the reason for the split personality is shocking when it comes to light. As I said before, there are several twists, but I was totally surprised by the one scene at the end of the group's visit to Limbo. I certainly didn't see that one coming! I can understand why Isaiah did what he did, but his choice did make me feel sad. I reached the end of the story and it was a bit bittersweet for me; I was happy for the characters, but sad that the story had to end.
I don't know if there will be anymore books in the series, but if not, I have enjoyed the roller coaster ride this series has taken me on. However, if there are more books to come, I look forward to reading/listening to them in the immediate future.
K.S. Haigwood has written a wonderful paranormal romance. I love her fast paced writing style, and the flow of the story was wonderful. I am fast becoming a fan of hers, and am looking forward to reading more of her other paranormal series as soon as possible.
Due to scenes of violence and some explicit sexual scenes, I do not recommend this book to younger readers. However, I recommend this story if you love older YA or erotic paranormal romance genres. - Lynn Worton
I find trying to write a review about this series so difficult. There is so much action and so many story lines to absorb in her books. The action, intensity, love, humor, deep messages, they all wrap up into one heck of a book yet leave me wondering what I can say about this that won't spoil the fun for you. The moment I read the first book in this series I knew this author was giving us something special and she has yet to disappoint me with each book. Good Side of Sin is a remarkable read.
The characters in this series comes to life as you read them. Their humor and heart break find away into your soul and you feel as if you are on the journey with them. As they fight for good over the evil Lucifer has place in our world, you see them struggle with the same issues we do in our daily lives. Free will, the chance to make the right choice that comes along with the chance to make the wrong choice that can damn us for life.
In this book we see how a human being is faced with the choice of being what God had intended for him or would he decide to go his own way. While Josselyn is still determined to find Malcolm, she is presented with a new challenge which will involve Thoros. If you have read the series you will remember there is a mixture of bad blood, anger and love between Josselyn and Thoros and the author has let us see what becomes of those two. Malcolm, oh how I have missed him, is back with his humor and straight forward talk and we are able to reconnect with other characters we have grown to love in this series.
This book brings you along for an intense roller coaster ride. I found myself laughing, crying and feeling the panic as good versus evil clash in battles. I was intrigued as I watched Josselyn try to find her way out of the web of lies that Lucifer's people cast. The mystery of who was behind what was going on was an attention grabber and kept me reading as I tried to figure it out. I highly recommend this whole series. I am sure you will find her series to be as unique to today's readers as I have continually mentioned. There is just no one like K.S. Haigwood and the books she gives us. I also believe you will be left as I was, thinking about the messages that she so brilliantly leaves for us to find. Messages about free will, our own power, why God let's things happen to good people and our own courage that we bury deep within us. Courage that was given to us as a gift that we seldom fight to discover. Go grab your copy of this series. I don't think you will be disappointed.
This is the third book in the Save My Soul series from this hugely talented author and yet again I am in awe! I've loved these books so far but did not imagine that Ms Haigwood would be able to match what I feel is the incomparable book Hells Gift but happily I was so so wrong! This book follows on from all the mayhem that happened in the previous book and then just pours on the angst. Surprises galore and more from our favourite angels but this time the demons take a well deserved centre stage! This series started off by introducing the idea of angels working together against demons to protect humanity and our souls and that premise is alive and well in this book. Lucifer is one bad ass guy who not only wants control of Hell but Heaven as well and it looks as if he might have found a back door! A serious breech has occurred and now Heavens Elite have to do their best to prevent all Hell breaking loose, literally! We catch up with the very stubborn Josselyn and see her struggle against the rigid rules imposed on angels as she tries to find and rescue her friend Malcolm but meanwhile she's sent on her very first mission to somehow save Thoros the one immortal that could damn her. Her heart is breaking for Thoros but she has a job to do and he's not going to get in her way! People are dying and somehow Thoros is mixed up in it but more importantly their souls are missing! Can Josselyn save Thoros from himself or will she stand by and watch the man she loves perish forever? Josselyn knows that she can't trust a demon but can she trust herself? I absolutely love this series. I wasn't that enamoured by the angels at first but the more I read about them the more I adore them! Josselyn has been quite irritating at times and never takes the easy route but it was such fun seeing her get all kick ass in this story. As for Thoros, sigh, he's definitely one guy worth lusting after and deserves a happy ending. Troy! That angel has intruiged me for so long and yet again we see him in this book but most interesting is the storyline that's taking shape concerning the bossy angel Isaiah and the demoness Lameria, now there's a twisted kind of love! So if you love paranormal romance that feels current and is written with passion then you really need this book but take my advice and get the whole series as they are just that good. Recommended
In this third book in the 'Save My Soul' series, like in the second book, there is a healthy balance between revisiting old characters and getting to know new ones. Josselyn is hell-bent on getting assigned to the rescue group searching for Malcolm, and has done everything that's been asked of her. Faced with the idea that she's done it all for nothing and the growing seriousness of the corruption of Heaven, Josselyn sets out on a mission of her own -- to save two of her most precious friends from certain damnation.
But she wasn't counting on the surprise mission she's sent on bringing her back into direct contact with Thoros, the half-souled ex-Prince of Lust. But something is going on, and she's the only one who has what it takes to get to the bottom of it, so she grits her teeth and does the best she can, fighting a certain pull on her heart all the way.
Along her journey, Josselyn soars with the giddy high of complete happiness and you watch her finally learn to trust and embrace the possibility of love. She also plummets to the soul-shaking depth of heartbreak, and you want to cry with her, you want to shake her out of her self-protection and encourage her to keep going. In the end, she's stronger than anyone gave her credit for, and I was glad to see her so handsomely rewarded for her willingness to push on.
This book is in keeping with the conversational style of the series, and though it's a little too casual for me, I have to admit that I am completely in love with the concept of the story and the symbolism craftily woven between the threads of the storyline. I like that the series doesn't actually have to be read all at once, or even in order -- but I do recommend reading them in order for maximum enjoyment. All in all, K. S. Haigwood has written a sweet love story with a lot of deeper hidden meaning and symbolism that really enrich everything that's going on in her world. I'll be looking forward to the fourth book in the series, and you should, too.

In this third installment of the "Save My Soul" series, Haigwood holds nothing back. Josselyn wants nothing more than to find Malcolm and bring him back to heaven. The Council however, has other plans for her and they are not to her liking at all. People are dying and their souls are being stolen. The Council has questions. Not only do they want the answers to their questions, but they also want the solution. All the evidence is pointing to one of the "special cases." When Josselyn learns she's being sent to figure out what's going on, she engages in the biggest case of 'foot in mouth' of her existence.
Not everything is as it seems. New characters are introduced and old ones come back. Lucifer, sore loser that he is, is out to not only disrupt things as much as possible, but to break free from the prison where he was sent to live in exile from heaven. Josselyn is being forced to work with Thoros, the man she loves with all her heart and the one who broke it. She and her friends need help solving the puzzle. More surprises are in store for our group of heroes when they learn who they will have to ask for help.
This book explodes with all of Haigwood's favorite elements. Romantic and sexual tension, betrayal, mystery, double dealing are all wrapped up in her signature wit and humor. Her characters are fun and easy to engage with. She had me laughing out loud a few times. I'm always happy to read a book from this author. I know she'll have curve balls waiting around the corner to pop out when I least expect it.
I feel very lucky to have been a beta reader for this book. Haigwood is an immensely talented writer who brings her worldscapes to life with characters I thoroughly enjoy. Her story telling skills have grown with each new novel she writes. If you enjoy paranormal romance, you'll definitely enjoy this book and the series.
Beta-read for the author. There's a LOT to look forward to! I can't wait to read the published version. It's a thrill a minute, laughing, crying, everything a great book SHOULD be. Oh, and surprises! Yay! Hopefully we won't be waiting much longer! Be sure to read Save My Soul and Hell's Gift first, in order to get the most you can from Good Side of Sin.
Edited after reading a published ARC for an honest review...still five stars!
My Thoros got his own book! Okay, really it was Josselyn's story, but Thoros is my favorite bad boy book boyfriend who so happens to be a half-souled immortal on Earth, formerly a demon from Hell, the Prince of the Syde of Lust. Hot, sexy alpha male gets the soulmate of his dreams, a beautiful angel direct from Heaven.
This third book in the Save My Soul series is the best yet! Be sure to read them in order to get the most from each story. You may also want to read the Eternal series to fully enjoy the surprises in this book.
I'm looking forward to reading every word KS Haigwood puts out there for all of us to enjoy.
Read again September 2014 while listening to an ARC audio copy.
The audio was well done. Pyper Down had a full range of accents and different voices. I always knew who was speaking. My favorite voice of hers was the demon that had several demons inside. When listened to at a higher speed, it really sounded like more than one voice echoing from within the host body. Creeeeepy! LOL!
Of course, the book was just as amazing the third time around. It had been a long time, so I had forgotten the ending. It was just as big a thrill as the first time. Five stars for all the goodness and perfection. Psssst! That new cover ROCKS!
This book is a K.S. Haigwood classic! Good Side of Sin is the third book in the Save My Soul series and and absolute whirlwind of romance, action and adventure.
This installment of the story follows the adventures of Josselyn as she completes her Line of Defense Academy training and is sent out in the field to bring an undesirable situation under control. The deal with Lucifer is not as good as it seems, and this time he has solid plans to take over Heaven and Earth. His half-souled demons are wreaking havoc on Earth and the angels have been struck by common human afflictions. Should they be even able to lie? Should they want to?
As with the other books in the series, what gives life to all the action are the incredibly well-developed characters. They don’t feel made-up, but real, like normal people, who feel, think, love the same way any of us would.
There is one tiny surprise towards the end of the book, a little link that connects two of Haigwood’s series – I won’t tell you what it is; you’ll have to read it in order to find out. As its is, it’s perfectly done, and blends the two thus far-separate stories together smoothly.
K.S. Haigwood takes the simple concept of a battle between good and evil and turns it on its head. This riveting read is a rollercoaster of emotion, some of the best writing this author has ever produced. Inspired and original, and gripping till the very end, this is not the kind of read you can come back to later. You’ll want to read it in one go. Genius on the page. I loved it. Five sweet gorgeous stars for Good Side of Sin from me.
You know how movies that have a 2nd, 3rd, 4th and sometimes 5th addition to the first one and as you watch them they progressive get worse or at best are nowhere near as great as the first? Well, usually it’s the same with books. Not in this case! The author is so talented; her series just gets better as she writes them. Good Side of Sin, as with all of Kristie’s books I have read so far, instantly grabbed me and pulled me into the ‘Save My Soul’ world. Again, I feel like I am living the experience, rather than reading about it. The talent this author has runs so deep.
I laughed, cried, stressed, worried, was excited, heartbroken, scared and so much more.
In the end, the author totally blew my mind with something I have never known an author to attempt-let alone pull be able to pull off. She pulled characters from her other series into the book and connected both series in an amazing way. At that moment, I was completely floored and speechless.
You WANT to read Good Side of Sin. You want to read the whole series. You want to read both the Save My Soul series and Eternal series! I promise you do not want to miss out or even put it off. This is an experience you will be so happy you had and will never forget it.
I believe this book deserves more than 5 stars, but since 5 is the highest we go, I say it’s an extremely HIGH 5!!! Don’t pass by; read this book! It’s awesome. Total PERFECTION
An incredible conclusion to the Save My Soul series! 1st let me say, I read / listened to this book in audio format via audible.com. I also bought it in e-Book format. I will always go for the audiobook over an eBook as audio breathes life into a book! Offering multiple voices, accents, excitement & proper pronunciations, making the book feel like I am listening to a movie, but better, as we all know the book is always better! I truly enjoyed listening this 3rd book of this series, Good Side of Sin. In this book we see Josselyn again. Josseyn is looking to save Malcom. If you remember in book 2, Malcom was in Hell and finished a challenge Lucifer gave him, that no one else has done, which got several characters released from Hell. In the mean time, Josselyn falls for Thorros. It is quite the adventure, following along as Josselyn searches for Malcom and we see everything she runs into in her search. This book is the perfect ending to this series! Just as explosive as the other two books to this series, this book doesn't disappoint. The Author KS Haigwood captured my interest right away and held it the entire book! The accents were fabulous (audio version). Pyper Down, the narrator brought this book to life with all her voices. Kudos to you both! Job well done. People, even if you read this series, try it again in audiobooks. It will sound like a brand new book!
Of course as always I won't spoil my review for anyone else, I can only speak from my own experience. The first book (Save my Soul) of the series, and I will be honest, wasn't my favorite. The second book (Hell's Gift) I LOVED!!!! I loved everything about it. Look up my review and you'll know. Now, Good Side of Sin...Holy amazingness, I honestly did not think that this series could get any better, after reading Rhyan's book that is. But it did. On more than one occasions was I saying out loud "What?" and "Are you kidding me" and "Oh, hell no" and also "Now this I did not see coming." While reading this book, I felt like I was thrown onto a roller coaster of emotions it had me smiling, cringing, sighing, holding my breath to being angry so many times, that I actually thought I was right there with them, feeling all of their pain, love, confusion and happiness. I can only recommend this series to anyone, and yes, we can't like them all, but trust me when I say, we sure can fall in love with each and every character, some more some less. I can't wait to read more and I hope this series will go on for a very long time, because when this series will come to an end, one day, I'll be sad. The author has done an incredible job, and I feel honored to be one of the chosen to beta read this totally awesome book.
'I have received this book from the author in return of an honest review.' This third installment of the 'Save My Soul' series was the perfect sequel to 'Hell's Gift'. I absolutely loved that it started off exciting and didn't let me go, not even at the end of it. Like a rollercoaster, it had twists, turns, loopholes and 'OMGsh! Did that really just happen' moments. Oh, and let's not forget about the romance...whew, shivers from the romance. Jocelyn was the perfect heroin and Thoros, dispite his flaws and past, was the perfect knight in shining armour. There were so many instances where it looked as though things just may be perfect. But how can perfection happen for an angel and a half-souled ex-demon prince immortal? It can't. Or can it? Let's not forget about all of the others in this story; are they really all friends? Or is there something much more sinister at stake here? Without spoiling this epic adventure of good VS evil, I will state this-it definitely doesn't turn out the way you think it will. It's so much better! To sum it all up, I absolutely adore this story and just couldn't put it down. I'm impatiently awaiting book 4 of this most excellent series, 'Sweet Purgatory'. Job well done, K. S. Haigwood.
I listened to this book on audio and was enthralled from the start. Josselyn truly comes into her own in this. She is on a mission. One from the council, one powered by herself. Old characters come back into play giving the storyline a familiar and cozy feeling amongst this Heavenly battle. As the book progress an entire new set of characters is introduced as well. Some less likeable than other but loving to hate them is part of the fun.
Honestly this book is the best in the series which is soooo weird. Normally authors start of with a bang and then start to falter. Not this author. It is as if she is peeling back an onion, giving the reader the opportunity to get to know the characters and world in book one, get to know the passion and driving force in book two and in this book the reader cannot help but get personally involved.
Truly an amazing series and one that if you like this genre, then I am pretty sure you will love this series.
Now I listened to this book on audio as I said so time to pay my dues to Pyper Down. The narrator has an uncanny ability to time her changes in characters so that it fits in perfectly with the normal plot pace. Truly an amazing production!
Josselyn is deeply wounded by the betrayal of Thoros, the Lord of Lust, and by the disappearance of Malcolm. She is determined to find the missing angel and to bring him home. This is not to be. Instead she is sent to earth to help the special cases (the Forgiven Demons). The sexy Prince Thoros is her charge. She needs to find out what is driving him to kill humans. What is Lucifer's plan? When Josselyn is close to Thoros, her emotions and desires are in turmoil. Her job is to protect heaven and earth but she cares deeply what happens to the Lord of Lust. Josselyn may fight it but he is her soul mate. K.S. Haigwood has outdone herself with book three in the Save My Soul series. She is a masterful storyteller. She weaves a tale of love, forgiveness and healing. The book is filled with interesting characters that are well defined and multilayered. Some are old friends that we've seen before while others are new and interesting people that we want to learn more about. The story is filled with suspense and unexpected plot twists that keep you on the edge of your seat. I love this book! It goes on my keeper shelf right next to the other two books (in the series).
After reading Hell's Gift I thought this one is going to be my favorite in this series that was till I finished Good Side of Sin! Now this one is my new favorite in the series. It follows Josselyn as she sets out on an seemingly impossible mission to save Heaven and Earth from Lucifer's tricks, and boy does he have some up his sleeve!
I'll be honest, in the beginning it is sort of a drag and you will wonder where this is headed, but keep going it gets so good! Good Side of Sin was an amazing read, with twists that you never saw coming and some gasp worthy moments. As always I loved the writing style and the characters were great. I loved this new world created by the author Limbo. All of her book worlds are so different from the last and yet somehow it comes together.
Overall an amazing, adventurous, action packed and with a bit of "Aww" moments in there, Good Side of Sin has been an amazing read!
PS: I loved that some of our favorite characters showed up here! Not telling who, its for me to know and for you to find out! ;)
The Save my Soul series just keeps getting better and better. Ms. Haigwood has delivered another action packed paranormal romance. I was honestly a bit skeptical about this series going much further after our trip through Hell in Hell's Gift because I just wasn't sure it would be possible to even maintain that kind of action and intensity, but apparently it was not only possible, but it was seemingly easily surmountable.
This book had me hooked from the beginning and only the threat of facing the Syde of Sloth in the afterlife was enough to get me to put it down to do my daily housework. I was anxious to see how the characters fared in Limbo, and curious just how the human Ethan fit into everything. This book also made me rethink about many of the things I know about Christianity, which isn't a topic I really spend much time thinking about at all. This is a book and series that anyone who enjoys paranormal novels should read.
I have to state that whilst reading this I was almost late a couple of times to pick my youngest daughter up from school. I didnt want to stop reading. I have to admit that the first chapter or two I was thinking hmmmm and wondering where this was going to go but I had faith that the author would make me go wow and she certainly did. I can so see so many spin offs to this story that is is unreal. Here is what I really love....... the way the author combined both this series and her other series - something I didnt expect but at the same time it fitted perfectly. This story is all about Josselyn and how she has to save Heaven and earth whilst rescuing Malcolm and somehow saving Isiah. Josselyn is, hmmmmm..... how can I put it..... there were times I wanted to slap her. Great character but such a stubborn and moody woman. Throw in some half demons, soul mates, magic, angels and lots of other things and you have the recipe for a fantastic story.
I was given this book by the author K.S. Haigwood for an honest review. This book is the 3rd book of the Save My Soul series by this author.
This book follows an angel, Josselyn and her group of half-souled demons and angels to try and save Heaven from Lucifer and Hell. Which is enough but she also has to come to terms that her soul-mate is an ex half-souled demon, Thoros, Prince of Lust.
I have nothing bad to say about the flow of the book or the characters and how they interact with each other.
The book was well written and the author did a great job catching and keeping my interest. This book has lots of action, lies, betrayal, love and romance through out the entire book.
This book is a great read for any paranormal romance reader who likes angels and demons fighting for good and evil. If you enjoyed the series Save My Soul so far then this book will not disappoint you at all.
From the start of this series I have been looking forward to reading Thoros book! I loved his character right away. K.S. didnt disappoint at all.
Josselyn wanted to forget Thoro's and his betrayal. Josselyn goes therough the academny to become a warriot and finally go after malcom. Unfortnately the archangels have other plans. They send her to help Thoros and the others with a small problem.
Thoro;s keeps blacking out and wakes up with bodies around him! Thoro's is desperately missing Josselyn but knows she wont come back.
From the first moment this book is packed with action, love, lust, mystery and twist and turns. Old friends revisit us and we meet up with some new characters. I read this book while it was being written and was still blown away but the ending. I never saw it coming and didn't expect the twists.
Brilliant book and I eagerly await the next installment!
Honestly, if you thought Hell's Gift was an amazing book, you clearly haven't read Good Side of Sin. This was such an amazing book full of action, adventure, romance, and heartbreak. Josselyn and Thoros are the main characters in GSOS and we see how their paths cross and become entwined one with the other. What I really loved about this particular book was some familiar faces came to help the angels, Abe and Ariana from the Eternal Island series (go check out that series of you haven't read it.) Kristie has a way with not only getting you to fall for the main characters, but also with the secondary characters as well. You'll laugh. You'll cry. You'll fall in love. You'll feel your heart break. Some of these characters make heartbreaking sacrifices in order to save everyone. This was my favorite book in the SMS series. Go check this one out!
K.S. Haigwood's books get better and better with each one I read. Her characters and scene imagery all show such a descriptive and deep complexity that it is not hard to imagine them being real, and I easily was able to immerse myself into this world and the characters' lives. This is the third book in the "Save My Soul" series, and follows Josselyn's story. It is a follow up to the second book in the series, "Hell's Gift", so I definitely recommend reading that first. All the amazing characters are back with some new friends for an epic conclusion that left me in tears at its beauty. Will Josselyn and the others be able to put things back the way they were? Who can be trusted? Read it now! This book will not leave you disappointed!
I love this series by K.S. Haigwood. She really knows how to plot out a great story. The details in this book were amazing. At first, I wasn't crazy about the narrator, but she grew on me. I loved her by time she got to Josselyn, and I loved the way she narrated her with the English accent. The story was very well done and I could tell it took a lot of plotting and crafting. There were a lot of characters and a lot of plot to figure out. Kudos on all of that.
The narration for Good Side of Sin was awesome as she gave each (and so many) characters their own voice. But I give most of the credit to K.S. Haigwood for construction such an epic read. This is a must read so add it to your TRB today.
I was lucky enough to beta read this one, and I’ll admit, it flowed so smoothly with minimal errors that I almost forgot it wasn’t the finished, edited version. The author really knows how to tell a story, and every book in the series is enjoyable for completely different reasons. Josselyn was never in for an easy ride with Thoros (she was pretty much screwed from the start, what girl wouldn’t fall for him) but I loved the back and fourth between them, Josselyn was never going to give in easy. Saving souls not reaching Heaven was always going to be a difficult job but I love Josselyn’s attitude to it, couple that with some great twists and this all made up for a thoroughly entertaining read.
I received an e-copy from the author in exchange for an honest review.
K.S. Haigwood has hit another home run with Good Side of Sin (#3 in the Save My Soul series). Each book is better than the last. Good Side of Sin is by far my favorite, at least until #4 is released lol. I really related to Josselyn and her struggle to accept love and trust in someone who has hurt her. At the same time I related to Thoros and his tendency to run from the struggles of love, thinking that it was “saving” someone from being hurt. Adventure, betrayal, passion, battles, and friendship are just the beginning of what this story has to offer. Did I forget to mention the “steamy” scenes? All I can say is…H.O.T. and definitely not intended for our younger readers. Not only do I recommend this book as a must read, but the whole series is a definite read!
I want so much more from this author. She's amazing. This being Josselyn's story I was a little iffy at first, especially with the back and forth "I want him, I don't want him" going on with the hot Thoros, which was understandable because he needed to gain back her trust, but in the end I got what I wanted. A happy ending. Did I forget to mention the demons turned good and the angles gone bad. There was a ton of action and new characters in this book and the author definitely caught me with one of them. I'm usually pretty good at figuring out the shady ones, but she slipped this one right past me. Bravo to you K.S.Haigwood. I already have ideas running through my head on how you are going to play out Isaiah's story. I'm very excited about that.
WOW! K.S. Haigwood has done it again! I loved the story. And Thoros.... HOT HOT HOT! I also love that there were parts of the book that I thought I knew what was going to happen and then it went a completely different way. I have said with Save My Soul and Hell's Gift, that they would make amazing movies and I feel the exact same way with Good Side of Sin. I can't wait for the next book in the series to come out. I'm also going to have to read her other series since some of the characters make a surprise entrance into this book!
If your thinking about reading this and checking out reviews before you one-click it, just do it! You won't be disappointed!
Good Side of Sin is the third book in the Save My Soul Series. This book focuses on Josselyn and Thoros, who once was Lucifer's Prince of Lust, but now has fallen in love. Extremely well written and kept my total attention during the entire book. I found it was helpful to have read the first two novels first. I do not think I have ever talked to a book as much as I did while reading Good Side of Sin. Every time I thought I knew what was going to happen or how they would react I was totally surprised. This book will definitely be staying towards the top of my list of favorite books. I would definitely recommend this ENTIRE series to everyone!!
Once again I was fortunate enough to be a beta reader for this series. Just when I think there's no way Kristie can impress me anymore, boom, there she goes and does it again. It's so easy to fall in love with these characters. I lover her style of writing. You get excitement, suspense, action, love, friendship, sexiness....there's just so much and all great. We find Joselyn fighting her feelings for the prince of lust as she turns heaven and hell in order to get her dear friend Malcolm out of limbo. It's such a fun ride, I highly recommend the entire series, you will not be disappointed.
I loved it. There were so much action going on and although it did take me forever to finish it through thanksgiving and the weekend, the story never left my mind. It kept me guessing the whole time and it never disappointed me. I could see all the potential stories within the other characters and look forward to it. Especially Isaiah and Lameria. Oh, that girl is so much drama. Can't wait for My Sweet Purgatory!!!
