Yet, the sudden and continued silence from the duchess was a bit nerve-wracking for Edward and Laura, as well as all the MacGreagors. She was up to something; she always was – but what was it this time?

She has been a thorn in the MacGreagors’ side for years. This book also introduces a new person trying to harm the MacGreagors. The “duchess” is also plaguing two more families in England. Well, so far, I have enjoyed the twists and turns. Just when you think it will work out, another twist is added to the plot. Guess I will just have to keep reading the series.
