No pictures I didn't even read because the lack of illustrations or photos took out the wonder .

The information it relevant and to the point. Particularly interesting for techniques in controlling pests by companion planting. A thoroughly good read.

Timely and timeless book to have on my kindle. I've recently moved to a new house and I think Garden Guide is what I need to pep up my own yard that is currently composed of green grass and a number of flowering plants in a pot. There's somewhat and overwhelming amount of information in here, from beginners to advanced gardening tips. I'll stick to the beginner's section and move on if and when I get it down pat. As the book implied, gardening should be fun and will even provide satisfaction as I see my contribution to the environment.

Discusses and asks you questions about various items that are important to the success of the garden: location because of sunlight, soil-different levels of expertise and composition,
when to plant and what to plant, composting and critter control.
Lots of tips and hints along the way, excellent book.

A practical ebook. It has an overview on gardening: choose spot, amend soil, plant care, fertilizers, etc. Websites are recommended for seeds & plants. Overview of types of soils and what to do for amendment & organic pest control.

If you have a basic gardening book, then you don't need this book. If you don't have a basic gardening book or want a basic gardening ebook, then this is a might be a good overview book for you.
