Crazy. Completely and utterly crazy, but entertaining. Seriously needs some better editing and - again - I wish that her heroes had a more extensive vocabulary. Didn't do the 'fuck' word count on this one, but I'm sure it was near 1000.
The hero, Lyon: dude's a bad ass fucking custom bike designer, plus he's a super rich businessman on the side and shit. Not to mention he has 11.5" in his pants and that shit's pierced too. That's how he rolls. He and his crew don't take shit from nobody, but they ain't all bad. They might have to kill a motherfucker here and there, but they still fix old ladies leaky roofs and take in homeless vets and shit. It all evens the fuck out, yo!
The heroine, Kat: she's a virginal freak-wannabe. Secretly she craves domination and to get her freak on. She did have a horrible experience before the book opens that causes her to go into a shell, but Lyon is the one to bring her out with his dominating ways - once he realizes she's a hottie and not some frump who hides in oversize clothes.
We also have the hero's dad, the esteemed town doc who smokes weed literally all the time. A completely batshit evil OW who used to torture pets for fun as a child (no details - thank God!). Several cat fights. A couple of murders by the H (no one messes with his girl!). Plus lots and lots of tattoo/piercing kink, spanking kink, anal, and light bondage. And did I mention the word 'fuck' and all it's derivatives. Yeah, it's there in spades.
Like I said, flat out crazy. But I can see the draw. It was entertaining in a OTT sort of way. The editing is awful though. Punctuation is off and there were some parts that confused me, because it's like a few chapters were out of order.
Seriously? Hahaha I'm still laughing. It's so ridiculous and poorly written, it's like a drinking game. I laughed my way through it. I'm still in awe about how bad this book is. However, I can't say that I wasn't warned. lol
I was able to borrow this book free from the kindle lending library...so glad because it is not one that I'd want to read again. I looked at the reviews...good and bad...before taking a chance on this one and since I do like a good biker romance, I was willing to give it a chance. There were just way too many mistakes and confusing parts in here to be able to fully appreciate the story. First of all, the POVs switch around so much and sometimes mid page so you aren't really sure who it is until you've read enough to figure it out...SO messed up. Then the fact that it's not REALLY a biker MC...more of a rich guy who likes to build bikes but hangs with a bunch of other bike riders, but does some illegal stuff (like murder)...oh but he's really a community activist, helping out the less fortunate...but he will beat up or kill someone who hurts his woman. Too many things that don't add up...and don't even get me started how a 32 year old man takes an 18 year old's virginity, pierces her everywhere, gets her ink to mark her as his...and she just recovered from the trauma of a beating and near rape. This book also had the unfortunate problem of incorrect chapter order...it's supposed to be a trilogy but part 2 is at the end and it should have been in the middle...so you read the end of the book first and when you are confused and thinking WTH happened and why is it missing stuff...there it is at the END of the book in part 3 (which should have been part 2)...get it? I suppose if you like a ton of hot, sweaty, dirty sex with not so much plot and a lot of one word commands.."mouth", "suck" "strip"...you get the point...then this book is for you. Colton takes the bossy alpha male WAY off the charts...so controlling and he makes his little "Angel" into a human play toy.
Bundle with the story of Colton Lyon who loses his heart to Katarina Sloan. Kat comes into Colt's life after a trauma, she needs a fresh start. Colt initially think Kat is a meek woman who will jump everytime he says boo, he couldn't be more wrong. Three books in this bundle.
Good story, has a few eye roll moments but if you like Jordan Silver's work you will like it.
I read this book because it received pretty good marks on Amazon. This book was so so. The characters lack dept and are underdeveloped. The plot stretches. The hot scenes left me rolling my eyes. I had to force myself to finish it. With more development this book would be fantastic.
I found Jordan Silver first on reading app, where you get to read episodes by purchasing them with tokens. I was getting very frustrated not just by the poorly written, not proofread stories. On the rare occasion that I found a book I felt had some merit; by the time I had purchased enough episodes to really get into the story, I spent as much or more then I would on a hardcover copy of a New York Times Bestseller! Such was the case with Jordan Silver's Lyon. I was about to uninstall the app but was wanting to finish Lyon when I found the trilogy in a box set on Amazon for a surprisingly reasonable price. Score! It was complete. There was no waiting for the author to update chapters. It had been edited and spell checked! So I didn't feel like I was reading a poorly written first draft in an high school creative writing class. I was also pleased that like I had suspected from the bits I had already read there was a plot I was going to enjoy. I am no stranger to erotica. However, I insist that it be more than a running list of different sex in different positions. There has to be a storyline and for me the more thrills and suspense the better. In the Lyon trilogy there is a story and Jordan does a very good job of carrying it throughout the three book series. The fact that it is mostly created around Lyon's obsessive need to protect his Angel from all harm and hurt, something that is virtually impossible and eventually makes him look like a crazy fool instead of a strong alpha male, is very annoying. By book 3 I was wanting his "Angel to grow a spine and kick him to the curb! Also why does a biker from Washington have the personality and tone of tough guy from New Jersey? Just the way I pictured him from his dialogue and posturing. I get his cussing, and I know a lot of people use F**** as a verb, noun and adjective. Yet, even Lynn's cussing got redundant after a while. By the third book I was done with the sex too. For two people into kink it was the same stuff each night, not even toys. Oh but he had his funny moments when he order his lover to not have a girl because he just wasn't having that, or she had 2 hours to get this labor done because 23 hour labor was just crazy! I was attracted to this book because of the story behind the female protagonist Katrina, Lyon's Angel. She starts out the book timid, trying to hide herself from the world. Through their surprising attraction to each other, she opens up about her past sexual trauma and begins through his love to come out of her shell. By the end of book 1 she has become a very strong woman, while maintaining her underlying sense of innocence. It seems to balance Lynn's rough edges and is what he says he loves about her. However, for some reason, Jordan Silver, does not continue to have her hold on to that persona. Throughout the next two books, she waxes and wanes between naivety and dumb blond. At the end of book 1 she gets a million dollar company from Lyon as a wedding gift and is well on her way to proving herself a great business partner and sexy wife. By book 2 she is according to Lyon "To feed our child and make sure she is safe and leave the rest to me". I liked the secondary characters Lyon's mom and her "hen pack" a lot better. At least I got a laugh out of them. I am glad I got to finish the series without paying an arm and a leg. I only wish Jordan could have continued her character development into book 2-3.
So this series is a whole story full of laughs, tears, fun, fear, and love (oh and seggs, lots of). The main character is a misogynist who is all about control - his own and all those around him. He thinks he is in the right and his girl consents, but as a reader, you will often wonder why and how he gets away with it. She calls him her caveman, and she is so right, but it works for them so each to their own. The series is a pleasure to read because it has obviously got a conscientious author and/or a good support team as it lacks the usual grammar and spelling errors common to the genre. If you are here for the seggs but like a fully developed adult story then this might be your ride.
Lyons Crew- This is the first book by Jordan silver I read. Colton was not ready for Kat when she showed up. Kat was going through something and was hiding and Colton pulled her out. This book leaves off on a major scene. Also the scene in this are hot. Lyons Angel- Colton and Kat's story continues. Colton is protective of his Angel. Kat is growing in the woman she needs to be. This book is about the next steps in their relationship. Lyons Heart- Colton and Kat have their first daughter. This book is all about the first year of their daughter's life. We did get to see 14 years into the future. I can't wait to see more of this family.
That's how much I love this set of books and Jordan Silver. Colton is funny I love when he's tough I love when he has a meltdown his potty mouth is hilarious his kids are funny and then you add Kat to the mix and everyone else. Great set of books hilarious it's a little confusing when you're trying to read them all in order because there's like four or five other series to go with it I wish somewhere there was a list of how to read them so you read them all in order but I love this series and this author.
Listen this boxset is full of bust a gut while laughing, I kid you not. I laugh till I had tears in my eyes, it has it's funny moments, actions, sweet moments, although some might say is too much but he us who he is, and Katalina love her man Colton just the way he is. Anyone reading this should definitely give it a go, you won't be disappointed, this is the best boxset ever, that five star is well deserve, Thank You Author Jordan Silver🔥⭐
Colton Lyon is the leader of a biker crew who has finally met his one in Kat. Kat has experienced some things that no young lady should but through it all Colton is there to help her find her way. Along the way there are some foes on both sides that are trying to come between these two but never underestimate true love because in the end these two always seem to come out on top no matter who is trying to get in their way!
Good storyline and really fun characters. Only reason the trilogy doesn’t get a fifth star is because the third book has odd plot timing. It bounces around a little and has huge sections that are so drawn out they take away from how great that third story is. The third book makes you smile and laugh so incredibly much despite it dragging on. Worth the read.
I could barely make it through 4 chapters. The grammar is so bad. The book is in first person but there is no notice from one character to another. One minute the H is narrating the the next paragraph the H is narrating. Misspelled words, confusing narrative makes this impossible to read which is sad because it could be a great story.
I couldn't finish this. it was to confusing figuring out who was who and doing what. it bounce around to different people to fast and I was lost at times. I saw the author did a new revised version but I'm not going to buy it when I got these for free. I also see this continues on for 6 books so I'm glad I stopped when I did.
It all started with Colton and Katarina, the ups and downs of a grumpy bike builder and the family they create. It seems enemies are around every corner. Colton can never catch a break, he’s caring and over protective. Alpha male through and through. There is more fun with the Lyon family and his group grows, a little hoodoo thrown in for good measure.
This series is the bombs! Colton is the ultimate Alpha male with a capital A. He loves Kat, he protects her, and brings out the best in her. Colton Lyon and his parents a hoot. This is my all-time favorite Jordan Silver series. This series is a must-read.
Possessive, obsessive and all kinds of caveman; that's what Colton Lyon becomes around his Angel, Katarina. She may only be a shy eighteen year old virgin, but she'll bring this man to his knees!!! Excellent read and I highly recommend it!
This trilogy was pretty good . I that Lyon was a little controlling but she liked it so that’s her think/ kink so you have to be prepared for that. There were twist and turns . This book kept me interested that is for sure. It was worth the read.
Absolutely terrible, I wanted to love it . Omg the story had so much potential! But I can't in good conscience recommend unless you want chapters and chapters of terrible sex. It's so cringe in need to borrow some gen alpha language and skibidi out of here...
I love the story line of these books but sadly there are a lot of grammatical errors and the plot is sometimes redundant. I truly fell in love with Colt and Kat and the spice level is a 10/10 but the storylines could have used some more work as well as character development.
Even though he is a caveman, he absolutely loves and protects his family and crew. Having said that, kat is a strong woman and is just as protective of her man, in her own way. Great read. I had a few laughs at Lyon's expense.
