One woman. Two men. Half a million dollars. One night...

One night. That's all Erik and Keegan want with Julianne. And they've come up with the perfect plan: Offer Julianne a half-million dollars. Julianne is in debt up to her eyeballs due to her mother's illness. Five-hundred-thousand dollars would pay off her bills and give her a start on a new life. All she needs to do is have sex with a man she's never met.

An explosion left Erik with scars, physical and psychological. Work is his only refuge. Until he sees Julianne through a surveillance camera. And he discovers a desire he thought had been burned out of him.

Keegan has watched his best friend retreat from the world for too long. If his desire for Julianne brings him back to life, Keegan will bring her to him, whatever it takes.

Julianne is young, adventurous and not afraid to take what she wants. And she wants these men.

But what happens when the night is over?

Well, that's the best part of the story...

4 Salacious Stars!

Well call me surprised, my first read by this author, So I won’t bore you with the obvious clichéd review, this read was captivating and the sex was FREQUENT and HOT as fuck!...this threesome Erik, Jules & Keegan have their share of complications, and despite the usual adversity, manage to work it out, heal and love each other..

HFN, highly recommend... panties optional

1.5* rounded down. I would have liked to give this 2 stars, but - quite simply - this wasn't an okay read.

Firstly, regardless of how you package it, fucking against money is prostitution. I'd expect at the very least to have that topic raised and dealt with in a story where a woman sells herself.

Then, this was all based on the sex. Exclusively. These two men fucked women together because it turned them on, and Jules (how skeevy is it for the author to have the same name as the MC?!) or rather Julianne wants to be fucked by both, because the sex is allegedly hot. Or so she says.

Unfortunately I didn't find the sex hot at all. For one thing the scenes were extremely samey, without any emotion, and very, very repetitive. After the third or fourth I started skipping. They also were very "slot A into tab B and tab C into slot D", very mechanical.

Aaaaaaaaaaaand, for all the allegedly physically correct fucking in this book, you got very little - or rather NONE AT ALL - sex described as it would play out between a real triangle. It is pretty clear that the author watched porn as the sole source of research and information. But porn actors fucking despite the pain and without the slightest consideration for the others in the fray are not at all how real people act and behave, or feel. None of the typical physiological reactions to having two penes inside the same woman at the same time were described, not for the men, not for the woman.

Also, not once did the author show the inevitable aftermath of the amount and violence of the fucking she describes. Not even a bit, we don't even see mentioned how Jules walks a bit straddle-legged or has some discomfort sitting down or taking a leak the day after.

As a love story towards a HEA this was also ridiculous. The most cogent and necessary discussions a triangle would engage in are lacking, none of the real dynamics of living poly are touched, all is hung up on instalust instead of actual love.

Not recommended.

Erik and Keegan pay Julianne a half-million dollars to have sex with them. She's planning to use the money to pay her mother's medical bills. It's supposed to be a one-night stand but the sex is so good none of them want it to end and then the doubts begin.

I enjoyed this story. I liked Erik and Keegan. They are long-time friends but they are so in tune with each other that one can start a sentence and the other can end it. Erik was injured in an accident and become a recluse. Keegan has been trying to get Erik out of his funk. When they spy Julianne waitressing an event hosted by their company, Erik comes alive. I liked the chemistry between the three of them from page 1. They are hot together. I like the three different points of view in the story. I liked the questioning they did in their minds but they needed to speak them out loud without screaming at each other to resolve their doubts. The sex was fantastic and fit the story as it was the sex that brought them all together.

On the book I have the blurb is not for the story. There were some logistic errors. Proofreading could have been better. But I will read Ms. Julian again. She pulled me into her characters and their story.

Oh my

This book made me feel 🔥 and while I enjoyed it, there were some aspects that were okay. That’s not to say I didn’t like it. This intense book with some smutty happy times was quite nice to read.

Julianne Carter joins an increasingly long list of American heroines who sell themselves for the sake of astronomical medical bills in the United States. This time the price is two men for half a million dollars.

There is a lot of sex and a lot of angst but not a lot of story or emotional connection. I had to skim through a lot of very prolonged sex scenes because they were so detailed and clinical. There wasn't that tummy-tingling romantic vibe you get when you care about the players or understand why they might care about each other. Their "strong feelings" can be summarized by how much they can't stop thinking about having sex with each and getting it faster and harder.

Many familiar themes are included: ultra-wealthy self-made tech geniuses, a scarred hero who thinks his disfigurement makes him unlovable, paying a debt-laden beauty for sex, a ménage a trois, love angst amongst said trois, a "rich bitch" from the heroine's past (so stereotypically mean that it was embarrassing) - all thinly reconstructed tropes that have been explored more masterfully elsewhere.

A book of lust, but don't pay for it if you hope for depth or elegance. Unlike many multi-instalment story arcs, there is no justification for the way this story is chopped up. I only got more frustrated with the characters as the book dragged on and only barely finished it, because I wanted to see if there was a redemptive ending before I gave a review.

Really??

Next time I consider downloading a free book, someone please stop me. This was awful. Beyond awful. I like a steamy book as much as the next gal but this was smut and poorly written and edited smut at that.

This is a strong 3-stars, held back by the lack of depth in plot or secondary characters.

This was a mostly by-the-numbers story of two rich guys who need help getting out of a rut by hiring a young woman to service them. She is willing and enthusiastic, strong and sexy. Per the trope, the lust evolves into love. There is a good bit of angst - authentic, but over-done - which is resolved nicely. The secondary characters were a bit too obvious - it would have been nice if one had acted counter to stereotype.

The sex scenes were spicy and intense, with our gal going all out to satisfy her lovers.

I will likely read more of this series.

A copy of this book was provided by the publisher for an honest review at Seductive Musings.

AN INDECENT PROPOSITION starts out as the story of how a young woman at the end of her financial rope agrees to sex with a stranger for an outrageous amount of money. Julianne’s father left both her and her mother in a deep financial hole on his permanent way out of town after her mother’s bout with breast cancer. Five hundred thousand dollars is too much for Julianne to turn down, even if it means a night of sex with a stranger. What she didn't count on was losing her heart to not just one, but two men who were worth so much more to her than the cash she desperately needed.

Keegan and Erik have been inseparable since they met in college and soon after formed their own wildly profitable bio-metrics company, but not in the way most people thought. They prefer to share a woman sexually, and had done so successfully until Erik was nearly killed in a lab explosion. The years of reconstructive surgeries and painful rehabilitation have done little to restore Erik’s confidence in his appearance, and his withdrawal from the world weighs heavily on Keegan. But when Erik spots Julianne working as a catering server at their company event, he knew he had to have her. And Keegan will do everything he can to make sure that happens, even if it means walking away from both of them for good.

AN INDECENT PROPOSITION was originally published as a five part e-serial, and that was how I originally read it, waiting impatiently for weeks between releases. The passionate romance and scorching sex scenes kept me reading, even as the individual cliffhangers made me crazy wanting to know what happened next. But I wondered if the read would be just as satisfying when glued together as one complete story.

The good news is that yes, AN INDECENT PROPOSITION does work well without the forced reading delay between each of its five segments. Some serials have a real issue with maintaining continuity, one that isn't obvious until repackaged as a full length book, but this never happened here. The sections flow naturally into each other, even though the originally defined separations are still used (i.e. five sections labeled as “Chapter One”), and the transitions hold up with the closer proximity.

Best of all, the relationship between Erik, Julianne and Keegan still packs the emotional punch that kept me reading for months. It never veers into overkill, even with the compressed timeline and often problematic “insta-lust” trope transforming a bizarre business transaction into a 3 way affair that may or may not become a lasting 3 way relationship. I’m glad I had the opportunity to read AN INDECENT PROPOSITION in both incarnations, and I’m looking forward to a follow-up book featuring Erik’s sister Katrina.

I think I really like this story because it's not trying to be more than what it is. If you are looking for a quick, steamy erotica with characters that you'll root for, you got it. The whole thing is very straight forward. It's not trying to be complicated. There's just enough angst and conflict to keep it interesting. The scenes are passionate and the feelings each character feels is placed without any apologies.

It's pure fantasy set in a contemporary setting.

Fun, fast entertainment with a lick of teasing heat. If that's what you're looking for, I'm sure you'll find it.

New to me author. I tried really hard to like this MFM contemporary story. Could not connect with the main characters and many errors pulled me out of the story. I tried jumping forward but the story still didn’t grab me.

My First MMF

I downloaded this book because I was curious to read how a MMF (male male female) love triangle is written. The author did a good job of creating a believable scenario. The characters were fleshed out a little for the premise of the book but the thing that really annoyed me the most was the heroine. She comes off as an airhead even though she was depicted to be this tough girl that overcame some tough issues.

Spoiler alert....

So after everything that the MMF had discussed: ie: small town, everyone knew everybody’s business, why would she revealed to a hateful, catty, girl ( biggest gossiper) that she was paid half a million dollars to sleep with 2 high profile guys. And right before that reveal, her internal dialogue, she was telling herself to be tough, stoic and keep her mouth shut. She wasn’t going to say anything to add fuel to the already raging rumor fire. And as she walked away, she couldn’t help herself to reveal that, not only did she fucked both guys, she was paid half a mil for it to wipe of her debts!! Really?? So lame . And the fact that she did not tell the guys that she made that big reveal knowing that “Ali” would swiftly spread the news to the whole town.

Every-time the 3 said they were going to get together and talk about their 3some dilemma, nothing was resolved, nothing was discussed except the phrase “we need to talk” and then they just all ended up having sex due to their overwhelming horniness. I wish the author would put a little bit more effort in creating a realistic development of the story.

3 some sex in the bathtub with a condom ? that was just ridiculous.
They played “safe sex” with condoms on 90% of the book. All the sex scenes involved opening a foil of condom to use including a ridiculous unrealistic bubble bath tub scene. Then w/o any discussions, they had unprotected sex at end of the book and didn’t even mention anything about it. That’s just bad editing or bad storytelling in my Opinion. This book is 90% erotica sex with a bit of story to carry the scenes. The HEA? Work in progress.. This book was a freebie so I’m not going to complain too much but it could’ve been a great book if the author had added the small details a bit more to make it believable.

Started off well then got whiney and repetitive (to me) and the sex was nearly every page that you had to wonder how they supposedly got things done. The emotional angst of Erik about his physical appearance and the guilt ridden turmoil of Keegan started to get on my nerves to read, because for friends who have apparently been friend for years, their conversational/ communication skills was that of 14 year old boys. The only time they worked well together it seems was through their shared company and having threesome sex!

And the Julianne (Jules) character became annoying to read, as she seemed have a presumptuous inner debate with herself about Erik, Keegan and her three way "relationship" rather than talking to them and also come across as woman who couldn't keep her legs, mouth or butt hole closed around the men to have a decent meaningful conversation; and the men couldn't seemed to have a rational thought to string a sentence together without wanting to be in one of her holes! I couldn't wait to finish this book so it's only 2½ * in my opinion.

Do not bother

I hate to give a bad review but this book is a waste of time. There are so many editorial errors it's so distracting and sometimes hard to follow because you question what you are reading. First her shoes are red, then black. Person A is talking but it's really person B. It's sex with no character development. Thank goodness it was a free book.

Ménage Trios, yes please!

This book was very great as a distraction. It was very entertaining. The one thing that kind of bugged me was the inconsistencies in parts of the story. The author kept going back and forth between Eric being hurt two years ago and three years ago. Besides that it was a very good read. And it wasn't just sex, though there was a lot of hot sex scenes. There was an actual plot and I'm glad everyone got their happy ending

Well what can I say.. Boring and predictable. I would have given a half star to be honest.
If you want to read about emotionless sex between 3 people over and over again.. Same shit different day kind of thing then this book is definitely for you.
After the third or forth menage a trio is it was so repetitive that I started skipping on past them scenes. That's means I skipped threw most of the book..
I Couldn't connect to any of the characters on any level.

This book is primarily about sex. If that's not your thing don't read this book. Fortunately, for me it had a pretty good story attached. The story accounted for about 20% of the book though.
I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars because of the numerous incomplete sentences. This book needs some editing. Otherwise 5 stars.

Rien de "bouleversant émotionnellement" mais, dans le genre, ça se laisse lire.

It took a bit for me to get into the story. I probably picked it up five times before I got into the groove, but I was glad I kept trying once I did. The characters are well developed, the writing is well done, and the conflict is believable. The relationship develops naturally, too!

I received this book from the Author, Stephanie Julian, in exchange for an honest review and so I shall deliver.

The Review

Erik Riley and Keegan Malone are millionaires. They’ve been best friends since college and built their business, TinMan Biometrics, together. When Erik is burned and his face disfigured in a lab explosion, he falls into a dark hole of despair. He was just walking and breathing, but not living. Until….Julianne Carter(Jules) came into view on the surveillance cameras at a party their company held. As soon as Erik laid eyes on her, he knew he had to have her. No matter the cost.

Keegan was stuck in his own hell. Drowning in the guilt he felt for not being the one at the lab the night of the explosion. He had noticed Jules too, so when Erik had the crazy scheme to get her into bed, he didn’t put up much fight.

When Jules received the offer of half a million dollars to sleep with a man who had been in an accident, she wasn’t sure whether to feel insulted or honored. But paying off the debt that had accumulated while her mother was treated and recovered from cancer…it was too much to pass up.

When Keegan opens the door, Jules is relieved to find he’s sexy and someone she’d have sex with even without the money. As they start to get down to pleasure….I mean business…she begins to sense there is someone else in the room.

At least a minute passed as they both caught their breath. Finally, her eyes opened and stared straight into his.
“Are you going to introduce me to the other person in the room now or are we going to continue to pretend he’s not there?”

At this point I held my breath as I was reading. Waiting, wondering and so excited when at last Erik stepped out of the shadows. Then the sex, oh my goodness! I needed a cold shower. Not over the top or vulgar, just right.

My final thoughts: The author did an EXCEPTIONAL job of describing Eriks scars, Jules reaction, his insecurities, just everything. Keegan’s emotions were so realistic as well. This has been one of the best books I have read. I could only find one single typo and that is a shoe color change on a date. I only noticed because my thought was, do those shoes really go with that dress? The author must have reconsidered as she wrote, because Jules ended up with the color I personally would have chosen for her.

I’m assuming the author initially put this book out as multiple short stories, because it’s Part I, II, etc. with chapters restarting. I understand it being set up like that to begin with, but for it to be published as an entire book, I would have liked to see it presented as one with no breaks. Despite the restarting of chapters being distracting it didn’t disrupt the flow or the craving for more! More! More!

I also have to say the moment with Gary, talking about the nephew. Even though no details were given of the talk, I felt like there was going to be a meeting there and that made my heart swell. I loved the fact the author’s writing gave that impression.

This book was 1 point from perfect. LOVED IT! I wholeheartedly recommend it to others.

whew.... I can come up for air now.. This book was the epitome of panty dropping, leg clenching, lady part tingling awesome. I downloaded part I for free on B&N and finished it in no time. Even though I had other stuff I had to read for my blog, I decided to read this instead.

If there is no spice in your life, just read this book. My husband has been sick and I still woke him up after reading some of the scenes in this book. The story is sexy and sweet at the same time. Although Erik and Keegan were wealthy beyond imagination they were so sweet and understanding of Jules. Even though you might think the reasons that they got her to Erik's house the first night was a little wrong you can see the good intentions they do have.

Thank goodness Jules was not a prude or timid. It never would have worked for this book. She was great and dealt with both Erik and Keegan so well and put them in their places when needed.

Erik and Keegan traded roles after the incident even though Keegan is not comfortable with the reversal and hates the social part of their business. I was so happy at the end at how everything played out.

Stephanie has such a way with words and can describe things so well it makes you feel a part of the book.

I saw this book mentioned on a FB page and after reading the description, I thought it sounded intriguing. At first I struggled with the concept, would someone really go that easily and accept such a proposal. However, the more I got into the story and read into these characters, the more I believed that the situation could happen. I think there are a few areas that could have been done a bit differently, but all in all a good story of three people finding their place in the world.
