Red Phoenix proves that there is certainly life after graduation from the Center…
Fans of the original Brie series were suffering from withdrawals once her adventures at The Submissive Training Center ended… But Phoenix was kind enough to continue the series with a fantastic account of what happens after Sir locks the collar around Brie's neck.
Brie's education has not ended. Life with her new Master keeps her on her toes, and keeps the reader panting with excitement...

These are just a few of the things awaiting you in Brie Gets Her Man.
I actually did request this of my own free will BECAUSE I really enjoyed the first compilation. I thought it was campy and fun and I liked Brie. I knew she wasn't the sharpest knife in the drawer, but not everyone can be a MENSA member.
Well, Brie, as it turns out, is a catty bitch. Oh, she's all sweetness and light to your face. She's also ignorant, judgmental, insecure, sobs constantly and is melodramatic. On top of that heaping pile of kaka, she's so immature it verged on ridiculous. She, of course, refers to it as being adventurous or free spirited.
P.S. When your "free spiritedness" equates to fiddling with all the buttons in first class, I'd say you need a child safety harness and stroller, but apparently this is all endearing. Every. Single. Male. in this thing thinks she's the cats pajamas in her Mary-Sue-dom and she just coos and giggles at them nauseatingly.
Top of the irksome list: Brie's subscribes to the notion that all women are inherently submissive and even has the gall to accuse (in her head, of course) the domme that was her harshest critic of secretly wanting to submit.
Coming in a close second are her narrow-minded views on sadism: "she struggled to wrap her head around the fact Rytsar was a sadist. He had been demanding but playful the day she'd scened with him."
Finally, straight up ignorance at its finest: "she'd never considered that practitioners of BDSM would also believe in God."
So, yeah, Brie annoyed the fuck outta me.
Her Sir turns out to be kind of an alpha-hole. Though he signed up for this babysitting gig, so I guess I can't really hold it against him that he has to warn her to blow on her food because it's too hot.
However, I can blame him for being a total twatwaffle.
The storyline with his parents… *exhale*
And his reactions to Faelan…
*give me strength*
The sad thing is none of this should be surprising given the Jr. High atmosphere of The Haven, the BDSM club they frequent. There must be something in the water in Freak-show City, CA, because most of these people are drama llamas with the exception of Marquis Gray.
The entire storyline was boring. No tension. Nothing engaging. Nothing.
Some of the scening was actually kinda hot until she would think or he would exclaim some corny epithet in the heat of the moment which inevitably killed my partial lady boner.
I should deduct points for that.
The kexy times were superficial fluffery, but I read a lot of superficial fluffery. I think if I would've liked either one of these two whackadoodles I could've taken it in stride. Therein lies the problem. Their relationship evolves like an R-rated version of a Judy Blume novel. It's like puppy love which is an odd duality when you're talking about blood play, single tails, suspension and branding. So, when the word "trust" is thrown around like confetti… How does one trust a teenager?
The writing…
It's oddly formal. No one talks like this. I recognize when an author has the skills to give each character his or her own voice and what a rarity that is. Usually I just overlook the lack of it, but I just couldn't here. Brie acts and thinks like a teenager, but talks like Queen Elizabeth? What? Come-dafuq-on. Not only that but THEY ALL SOUND EXACTLY THE SAME! Weird affected language. I've already voiced my lackluster response to… Well, pretty much everything about this book but one.
I found it prejudicial against male submissives. There's ONE mention of submissiveness not being predicated on gender. One. And one scene with a domme and her entourage of 4 subs and they're all topping a female submissive.
The truly galling thing here is they're still highly involved with the school and demonstrations. With couples. Oh, I forgot. All women are submissive and men are masculine, manly men. How silly of me.

The novel is smoking hot. Without the needless bantering so commonly prevalent in other erotic novels, Brie Embraces the Heart of Submission: After Graduation captures the smoldering want behind the Dom/sub relationship. Each chapter reads like an erotic short story, filled with intense, tightly wound BDSM scenes building wave after wave of sexual tension, building in intensity until relief washes over the reader as the couples reach their climax.Red Phoenix is clearly in her element and writes with what can only be a first-hand acquaintanceship within the BDSM world. Her in-depth knowledge and familiarity with the alternative lifestyle and its many kinks and accouterments are clearly evident in her writing; you couldn't get any closer to experiencing the heat of power exchange without sustaining a few rows of searing, raised welts upon your flesh.

What a great way to start the year!!!! I couldnt have picked a better book to get 2014 started!! I absolutely LOVED Brie and Master! Their love was a journey like no other I have read. It was HOT, HOT, HOT! There were so many new things in this book that i have never read before, A lot of it will have you squirming in your chair;) I hated for this to end, I want more! READ THIS!

I wish I could give more stars! I LOVE the vivid, erotic & deeply emotional world & characters that Red Phoenix created with BOTH of the Brie series. I was able to relate to Brie. I laughed, cried, rejoiced, panted, sighed...loved along with her. I was thrilled that Red allowed us to continue Brie's adventurous journey after she graduated.
I fell in love & lust with (too many of) the characters. I watched them grow & learn about themselves, each other & the world. Considering this is erotica, it was amazingly intelligent, insightful & emotional for me. I enjoyed so many smiles, sighs, pants, swoons, moans & poignant moments that touched my heart & soul deeply.
I only pray & beg that Red Phoenix will continue this amazing journey in some way! I want to see what happens next the characters. I want to keep visiting this world & its characters. Maybe the series can be written from Sir's POV? Anyone else's! Faelon's, Lea's, Mary's? Please reconsider this being the end. I want everyone that I love from these series to get the chance at their own HEA... with me there for every second of it.

Brie Embraces the Heart of Submission">
The continuation of Brie Learns the Art of Submission" target="_blank">Brie Learns the Art of Submission (book 1-see my review) was a nice, long, juicy book. Made even longer by the fact that I had to stop to jump my husband's bones a few times. Brie Embraces the Heart of Submission" target="_blank">Brie Embraces the Heart of Submission was to me, less lady porn and more character depth, which I was really pleased to see. One of the things I wanted more of was to get to know the character's backgrounds. In this book, we actually get to meet the families of our beloved characters.
"No need to cry, Babygirl. This is just the beginning."
There was much more depth and conflict, but also a strong deep love. Speaking of strong and deep...there was lots of that too! Though there was more depth of story than the first book, don't worry, this one still gets you all hot and bothered, big time.
“It is my belief that you cannot know your desires or limits unless you expose yourself to them” – Sir
Brie may have graduated the Center, but she is still learning. And she still has a lot to learn. Though she is absolutely thrilled to be collared by Sir, she is still haunted by her lingering feelings for Tono (who plays a big part in this book, I love him!), and her dreams are haunted by Faelen who refuses to let her go. But Brie is reluctant to share these feelings with Sir.
“Brie, anything that causes you discomfort must be shared, no matter the reaction you fear will result from it. Without trust, you and I are nothing.”
In the beginning, Sir just kind of pissed me off. I never felt the connection Brie had to him compared to Tono (and I can't see any appeal in the simpering Faelen) but then again, Brie loves everyone (except Mary and Ms. Clarke, with good reason). I felt like he punished her very unfairly.
As the couple works through their trust issues, their love really blossoms. Brie has an opportunity to have her documentary produced, so Sir makes sure that that is where her priorities lie, and he supports her in every way possible, even if it means he has to leave her in the hands of another.
"Brie, do not let this deter you from your goal. Even when I am not near, my love and support are yours."
As the book continues, they grow closer and I can see why she loves him. They travel throughoout the world visiting family and friends and have plenty of unique and HOT scenes along the way. We learn of Sir's background, in depth, and meet his family, and we also meet Brie's parents who are appalled at her lifestyle choice.
Though Brie is collared, she still gets to scene with other Doms, and there are plenty of hot scenes. The Tantra Chair
had some pretty awesome scenes, and it inspired Mr. Ana and I to use the chaise in our bedroom. Wow, I gotta say, the new angle was awesome. ;). There was also some use of the Magic Wand Massager Only" target="_blank">Hitachi Magic Wand. I have talked about this before. HOLY CRAP, Magic is the only word for it. It's so magical, I created a whole store for it in my Red Room of Pain (look on the left sidebar).
We got to really get to know all of the characters in a much deeper way (haha...I said deeper), and as the book progressed, I was able to see what Brie saw in Sir, and I had no doubts of his love for her.
Brie's sunshiny, sweet demeanor where everything makes her soul sing and she cries tears of joy was still there. A little annoying, but you can't help but love her.
Likes:
•Learning much more about each of the characters. This book delved much more into them vs. the sex.
•The sex was still varied, hot, kinky and often (though not quite as hot as the first book).
•How much Sir supported and aided Brie's film career.
•There was lots more of Tono and Rystar.
•Leah's goofy jokes.
•Though I had trouble seeing the connection at first, Sir and Brie's love was proven many times throughout the book.
•Brie remained feisty and never lost her spark.
•Lots of funny lines, like "I love the taste of Brie" that had me giggling.
•Made it clear to me that while I may play in the bedroom, I am no submissive.
•A wonderful, yet bittersweet ending.
Dislikes:
•Sir doesn't use contractions. As headmaster and instructor I didn't mind, but all the time made the relationship a bit too detached and formal.
•Brie's soul sings, or cries out, or gets caressed, or flooded or lifted over 50 times! That's a lot of soul movement. Added to her many tears of joy there was just too much of that.
•Faelen: ugh. What a pussy. I didn't see one drop of dominant in him.
•I tried to, but I never found a reason to like Mary.
•3rd person stopped me from fully connecting.

If you enjoyed the first book, Brie Learns the Art of Submission, you will love Brie Embraces the Heart of Submission. It is a great continuation, and it fully told all of the side character's stories while still being an educational, hot read.

Perfection! Brie Embraces the Heart of Submission by Red Phoenix took me on one hell of a journey. A journey full of heartbreak, compassion, angst, and an undeniable passion. I'm sad for it to end, but I am incredibly pleased at the outcome.

Every time I pick up a Brie book, I am a happy girl! These stories have everything I could ever want in a Must Read book. Not only do you have one amazing Dom in Sir, but we get visits from multiple Doms throughout Brie's journey. The writing was spot-on, and the BDSM element was gentle, tender, heart-warming, and steamy. Sir takes Domination to a whole other level, just like Brie takes Submission to a level unlike I have read before is BDSM novels. The chemistry between these two was always there, but now that Brie is collared, they share more, communicate more, and are just there for each other more through thick and thin. There is definitely no giving up. Red created characters that are strong-minded and strong-willed that even when there is loss, the fight within them just gets stronger.
One of my favorite parts in this story was the scenes. During the "fire scene," I was completely captivated. I felt like I was there watching Sir apply the alcohol on Brie's willing body, touching it with the flame and then snuffing out the flames with his masterful hands. It was like a dance in my head, and one of the most beautiful things I have read in a while. The "switch roles scene," was pretty fantastic too. You get to see a part of Brie that you haven't seen yet, and it was amazing. Oh, and to give you a little teaser, there is another pretty fuckin' hot DP scene that includes one of my favorite Doms from the past. *Wink Wink*
Another part of this story that I enjoyed was catching up with the other characters like Tono, Lea, Mary, and Rystar. Secrets are revealed and new relationships blossom. Stupid decisions are made, and threats try to sneak their way in to relationships to tear them apart. Different sides of your favorite characters are revealed, and some with make you cry, and others will make you laugh. Overall, this was a total winner...the complete package, and something I will treasure and re-read again and again.

It was like a dance in my head, and one of the most beautiful things I have read in a while. The "switch roles scene," was pretty fantastic too. You get to see a part of Brie that you haven't seen yet, and it was amazing. Oh, and to give you a little teaser, there is another pretty fuckin' hot DP scene that includes one of my favorite Doms from the past. *Wink Wink*
Another part of this story that I enjoyed was catching up with the other characters like Tono, Lea, Mary, and Rystar. Secrets are revealed and new relationships blossom. Stupid decisions are made, and threats try to sneak their way in to relationships to tear them apart. Different sides of your favorite characters are revealed, and some with make you cry, and others will make you laugh. Overall, this was a total winner...the complete package, and something I will treasure and re-read again and again.

Red Phoenix completely outdid herself with this one. Brie Embraces the Heart of Submission is an amazing follow up to Brie Learns the Art of Submission. I didn't know what to expect or how she could even come close to the beauty of the first book, but Red managed to not only meet the beauty of storytelling she had in book one, but completely took it to a new level. This book is such a diverse read, you have mystery, suspense, love, heartache, and sexy parts. As Brie and Thane's journey moves forward you get to learn more about each of them... I LOVED getting to see some of Thane's past and having an understanding of why he is who/what he is.
I adore every single thing about this book. Honestly, the only thing I didn't like about it was the fact that it had an ending. It's rare that I find a book or series that I still feel desperate to read more when it's "over" THIS is that series for me. I first read this book in serial form... as each instalment came out I devoured them in one sitting.
This love story has lessons we can all learn from this phenomenal author, Red Phoenix.
While reading this series you will likely learn a few tricks in the kink department along with some life lessons and a new joke or two.
The story leaves you wanting more but at the same time leaves you fulfilled, there is room for continuation if ever the story is there but it ends in such a way that you can move on knowing all is right in their world.
I love this story so much that I had to buy it in the complete novel form and will likely order the paperback also.

Life after graduation Brie and her Master Thane Davis. it's funny how true life it could be because even though she went to training for six weeks it was still so much she had to learn and to actually live it on a daily basis was a whole new ball game for the both of them. Again what a journey emotional and happy I saw Master Davis in a new light I loved how he handled all the situations throughout the book. He knew Brie heart and he worked her though it all. I liked how he revisits her fantasies and made them their own. The ending I didn't see it coming but I was happy how it ended.

I feel bad for my roommate. She had to put up with all the squeals and girly giggles that I couldn't control while I read this. Hats off to Red Phoenix for creating an erotic story where I could tell people that I WAS also reading it for the plot!

I received alllll the novella's in the series from the author for an honest opinion.
Here are thought from each novella :
Book 1
Ok so this book is about the first couple days Brie and her new Master have together. She is still very much in the learning process especially since her Master is a very well known and respected Dom. I had a big giggle when Brie and Master were *busy* on the sofa and Master had a phone call....very funny scene with Rytsar on the other end. Man that's a guy I wouldn't getting to know a little bit better *cough cough spin off series cough cough* cuz YUMMY!!! Also as we Red readers know from the first novel, Brie and cooking= epic fail. Again poor Brie tries her hand at cooking and it is a riot....omelets and spaghetti....giggles...Now the part of the book I didn't giggle with was the Wolf!!! UGH let her go Man!! I was a little bit disappointed in Brie for not telling Master about what happened between them this book BUT Brie is such a tender hearted girl. She doesn't want anyone in pain and feel bad for following her heart and breaking his.
Book 2
Incase you are not aware, Red has mad writing skills. I always feel like I am Brie and this book was noooo different. It starts out with a visit to the Training Center with Brie rocking her old uniform with a few new touches from Sir. I loved seeing Boa again and how he had to "keep his excitement" low so his domme doesn't punish him...giggles.... I had to say my favorite part was Brie and Lea getting to hang out for a bit. The two were such amazing friends and so I missed Lea like Brie has. I was sad to see that Brie was still getting crap from Ms. Clark and the other new subs for being collared by Sir. I wanted to stick my tongue out at them FOR my girl Brie so I shall here *Raspberry*!!! (Quick look to make sure Sir didn't see....SHEW!!)
Ok I know you wanna know...The Wolf/Mr. Todd Wallace. Yup he shows up and yup he makes a complet and total ass of himself while getting Brie in trouble....growl. I did feel bad for him with what he reveals to her BUT at the same time I yelled "Dude get a grip and move on already!!"
The last chapter of the novella totally squeezed my heart. Oh Thane....errrrr....Sir. He knows exactly what to say to make me melt. This chapter was a great peek into his soul. He is a good man and loves Brie BUT he can see a little bit closed off. This part of the book I finally understood him a lot more and it made me love him all the more. Oh I am sooo getting teary eyed remembering THE part of the chapter that got to me.....*sigh*
Book 3:
I was way excited to read this book because I find Rytsar mega hot and knowing Brie was going to be in Russian with him and Sir...SOLD!!! I will say I was a bit shocked to find out he was a sadist. I didn't imagine him that way and TBH he kinda made me nervous then...sooo not a pain girl.
I loved getting to know Sir in a more personal way. I loved finding out the back story on how he and Sir met. It was a hilarious scene when they were playing chess and Rytsar cheated....LOL I have to admit the last chapter was my favorite with Brie, Sir and Rytsar. I will not even begin to tell you because you DEFO need to read it to appreciate it....giggles.
I was sad to see the way Brie's parents feel about Brie and Sir. I understand any parent would be concerned but I felt they were way over the top in how they reacted to the couple. I was also a bit sad for Ms. Clark...yes I was sad for her.....the back story made me feel for her.....unrequited love sucks. Wanna know who she loves??? READ THE BOOK!!!!!
Book 4:
WHERE TO BEGIN!!! AS usual Mistress Red had me in knots at the end of the last installment of Brie. When this book begins and my heart is in my chest. I was excited to find out why Brie and Master had to end their trip so early in Russia. I mean to leave Rytsar it HAD to be important.....Good Golly that man is some scary hotness!!!
I was so excited to see Lea again. I have missed her friendship and love how we cant always count on her for a good couple of jokes...even if they are just so bad they are funny. *breath in and out* Mary....Brie has to talk to Mary. Wow what an exchange that was. I will say that I felt a little different towards her AFTER everything was discussed in regards to the Wolf and the graduation ceremony.
Tono....*Sniff* My heart breaks because I so loved him and was sad Brie didn't want to be his little subbie BUT Sir just had Brie and my heart. I was happy to see the two re-connect and maybe even build a friendship outside of the training center (insert Wicked Evil Laughter because if you haven't read this book you have no clue the cliffhanger. )
Sir......I fell so much more in love with him. He has such demons and is so scared for what he feels for Brie. He sends her mixed signals and her naive self takes it all the wrong way but that is what we love about Brie...her tender heart and soul right??!!! Sir has some major issues he needs to work through due to his mom and dad's relationships.
AND LASTLY...the documentary plays a big part of this book. I am glad to see Brie chasing her dream. I am happy that Sir is also forcing her to work versus following him all over the world while he does business.
Book 5:
I must start this review by saying BRAVO ENDING!!!! My heart is racing and I immediately messaged the author to say I was STOMPING my Foot!!! She is such a master at teasing us *giggles* in alot of ways this novel.
If you are up to date with the series, SWEET!! If not please start with the Brie at the Training Center. These books take place after she is through submissive school and is in a happy and stable relationship with her Master.
So this nook is another great installment to Brie. She and Tono have to face their feelings about one another. I must say I enjoyed seeing him be a little 'rougher" with Brie. During the Graduation ceremony he didn't seem to have the "harder" side so that was pretty exciting.....annnd let me say the scene was pretty HAWT!!!
Todd, Todd, Todd.......I really just feel for the guy but DUDE LET HER GOOOOOOOOO...enough about him.
Ms, Clarke has really really really peaked me. She hates Brie BUT......I wanna know what is up. I wanna know why she is so draw to Brie but hates Brie. I mean we learned some thing about her and Rytsar but what else makes drives her???????
Grey and Lea's Flogging Scene......I loved how Brie is so expressive and Grey can pick up on it. he is such a great man...and Lea...who doesn't love her!!!
Sir *Dreamy Sigh* he was very missed in this novel but the gifts and poem defo brought a tear to my eye. I will say the cliffhanger at the end is in regards to Sir and I am guessing his past.....????? Man, it was an epic ending and i am going to be driving Red CRAZY until book 6 is out!! LOL
Book 6:
This book really covers ALOT of ground. It was so action packed I was mad that I finished it so quick!! Here goes a recap.....Brie and Todd/The Wolf finally had a "meeting". I really feel BAD for Todd. He is like crazy, stalkery in love with Brie and is convinced she is in love with him. The meeting mad me teary for him, because he cant let her go. It also made me teary for Brie because she is sooo warm hearted. She didn't want to hurt him but hurting him is the only way to get him to move on.......... AND of course Sir was there to tell Brie she is so amazing and that is why he loves her *Dreamy Sigh*
Master's surprise returning visitor....OMG the cliffhanger last book was epic. I kinda figured it was his mom but WOW the emotion she evokes in Thane is intense. The way he opened up to Brie and allowed her to care for him instead of closing up was HUGE this book. Last book he shut down on her several times but their relationship is going in such a great direction he accepted her care....sigh if I could only get some of that "care" like they had up against the tree.....Quivering lady parts for sure ;)
Master's ending surprise for Brie....ok so I see the title of the next book so i know WHERE they are going BUT the trip back to Brie's family is gonna be pretty interesting.
Master's OTHER surprise.....OMG Master and *gulp* THAT will be very very interesting. I cannot wait to see his develop this new skill from the training of Master Anderson. Can I also say how friggin much I love him too!!!!
Book 7:
So this book has a lot of fun, sex and revelations like every book in the series. Brie and Sir go and face her paretns who are none to thrilled with the lifestyle Brie is in and hate Sir even more then before. So sad really that they are so closed off to what she is telling them about her and Sir. BUT maybe not all hope is lost with her parents at the end of the chapter?????
Sir and Brie have a lot of naughty, but quiet, fun on the airplane....hot very very hot!!! They were flying to see Sir's family in Italy. Brie is overwhelmed with the emotion she sees in Sir and his family at his return...18 years is a loooong absence. Brie is defo challenged by Sir's long lost childhood sweetheart for Sir's affections....growl. I will say I had some serious tears at the cafe scene. Red, you are an awesome writer because my heart was breaking at what Brie said to Sir about Condor love.....sigh. Sir does make everything right when he and Brie played "capture the princess" .....I wanna play that game with Sir as well......
Book 8:
So this book really did a GREAT JOB tying up the loose sends. We get a great resolution from Sir's mother and her drama. I was really sad for Brie because she had to learn a very important lesson during the trial and tribulation with is mother. But Sir is always the wonderful gentleman and helps rescue Brie when she needs it which causes him to have alittle bit of fame as well.......
Brie got a once in a life time opportunity to switch with Sir. The scene was funny and hot at the same time. I am still in complete wonderment at how I , like Brie, never realized the control a Dom must have with his submissive. Red made sure to let the reader know that it takes ALOT of forthought and consideration when planning a scene.
Lea and Tono's birthday gift to Brie....Sweet Baby Jesus in the Manger!! I cannot spoil this scene people i just can't even begin to go in to it. you need to read it for yourself....it is that amazing!!!! I have never cheered on a scene as much as I did this one.
Mary and The Wolf.....very interesting story. I liked seeing Todd and Brie being friendly again especially in protection of Mary. I liked how the book ends with these two.
The ending chapters made my heart bust wide open. I had a few crocodile tears at the ending but they were the best kind of tears...happy ones!!!!!
Any way, If you read this series you will love the ending for sure 1 million percent

The ending chapters made my heart bust wide open. I had a few crocodile tears at the ending but they were the best kind of tears...happy ones!!!!!

I was delighted to see that the nine Brie novellas had been combined into one book. I bought it and read it immediately and have not regretted the decision at all!!!
It is a story for anyone who is interested in BDSM and in getting an overview of everything it entails. Through Brie, the reader gets an insight into what it takes to become a submissive.
The training center is a six week course where Brie and her fellow students are taken through their paces. An in-depth study into transforming innocent wannabees into accomplished and polished submissives. Not a single aspect/topic of submission is ignored. As we learn with Brie, we are introduced to obedience, bondage, floggings, anal sex, objectification, oral sex, humiliation and a variety of other experiences such as Kinbaku (Japanese rope bondage), role playing, the use of a bullwhip.. just to name a few. What really made an impact was the way this story, was perceived from a learning process for all. Brie and the other 'newbies' didn't embrace everything that was introduced with immediate enthusiasm, which makes for some interesting conversations at times. The reader learns that in training to become a submissive, this means pushing boundaries and going beyond the realm of what you think you are capable of and comfortable with.
The subject of this book suggests that most of it revolves around sexual acts, yet there is so much more. But really... how else are you going to train submissives? But as you will discover, there was also room for a bit of background story...and yes a love story in the making. As the reader gets a chance to get to know and experience how and what Brie achieves and appreciate how she grows. I liked the way Brie was torn between several of the men she interacts with causing a wonderful balance to what she was learning. In most romances the lead can't make up their mind about who they love and want to be with, but in this book, Red Phoenix made it make sense. When you as the reader can experience the emotional trials and tribulations within the story, its hard not to develop feelings for Brie and other characters. You actually become so very intimate with each one. The fact that the story kept me guessing as to who Brie would end up with in the end was both a surprising twist and an added bonus.
I also liked that each of the Doms and submissives are unique in their own stances. They are young , old, well built, out of shape, different races, temperamental, compassionate; they are just an eclectic group of people I would love to know personally. Many popular books with a BDSM theme seem to portray certain stereotypes as their main characters, yet with this book there is such a variety depicting every day people. It made for a very nice change in which the characters came across as people I personal could meet in my day to day life.
Another accolade for this book is the way allowed by the author to inform the reader about BDSM and submission without ever getting preachy. The story is set in a learning environment of a school, making perfect sense as we learn the lessons along with Brie, which never interfered with the flow of the story but rather enhanced it. It is definitely a wonderful story of finding one's self. Find out for yourself...I'm sure you will love Brie, Master and all the other characters and be begging to want to know what's next. I know I did! The author has continue on with the series “After Graduation” and it is as powerful as this one. You will need to read this book before continuing...you'll thank me later I'm sure. Some of my friends have!

While I could give you a complete rundown of what is in every novella, I won't do that. Why? Because in doing so it will take away too much from the overall story and then there won't be any point in reading it. This is by far one of the best series I have read as it gives you a real look into a d/s relationship that can be hard to grasp when just told by one book versus a series. The scenes are great and the relationships between the characters in this series are well developed and leave you yearning for more of the characters long after the story is over. I would have to say that my favorite novella was Brie's visit to Russia, why? You'll just have to read to find out why *wink*. I give it 5 stars and look forward to more of Red Phoenix's work in the future.

This After Graduation series continues the sexy, BDSM adventures of Brie Bennett and Thane Davis. What's great is that Red Phoenix reveals what happens after the "happily ever after" ending. She shares the fears, trust issues, unresolved problems with parents, and living together transition that face Master and sub. Sexy scenes are liberally sprinkled throughout with the Tantra chair, fun'toys', fantasies enacted, the visit with Rystar in Russia, fun trip to Master's Italy, and the sexy birthday scene with Tono and Lea to name a few.
I enjoyed that none of the characters were perfect; all were flawed. That made them more relatable to me. I appreciated that Thane supported and encouraged Brie to complete and release her documentary, even though there was unexpected fallout. The interviews of the training center Doms, Domme, and subs for the documentary were revealing.
Todd (Faelen) played the role of the 'Big, Bad Wolf' after Brie's rejection of him at the collaring ceremony. His refusal to move on was immature. Mary was her usual sarcastic, truth telling self. It was great to witness the growth of Faelen and Mary by the end of the stories. They probably had the biggest breakthroughs.
The issues with parents, Thane's and Brie's, played a significant role. Brie helped Thane to get a priceless heirloom that belonged to his father back, but not before she breaks his trust with blatant disobedience. The beast, Ruth, is his mother who thoroughly earns the moniker with her schemes. Brie's parents, especially her father, struggle with Master's age (she's 22 y/o; he's 33 y/o), the BDSM nature of their relationship as well as the Brie's revealing BDSM documentary.
So many of the characters in the original series, Brie Learns the Art of Submission, were in this series. From Mr. Reynolds, Candy, Ms. Clark, the training center Doms, to Lea, it was great to see what they were up to. The real reason Rystar rejected Ms. Clark is revealed. OMG.
I enjoyed all of the stories, some more than others, but especially the last, Brie Surrenders Her Heart where Brie and Thane deepen their bonds. The way it ended seems to open up the possibility of another series. I think there are more stories to tell. I hope that Red continues with another series.

Red Phoenix really knows how to write an erotic novel. This book is not only full of mind-blowing sex, it also is about love, perseverance and the evolution of relationship. I loved the great detail the author took in each character and how they all interacted with one another. Although the story revolves around Brie and Sir, Ms. Phoenix also showed us how the other Masters/Mistresses and submissives were important. Being given insight into each of their lives and reasons for entering into this lifestyle was eye-opening and made the story feel more real. I was drawn into the friendship that Brie forged with Lea and Mary, the other girls she started training with. Their relationship had its ups and downs but I could tell that each one of the girls genuinely cared for the others. It was also interesting learning how all of the Masters came to know each other and see their friendships deepen. The writing flowed well and I was drawn into the story from the beginning.
As Brie and Sir begin their journey as Master and submissive, both are thrilled and looking toward the future. Brie loves Sir and wants with all her heart to please him. Sir loves her and wants to help her accomplish her dreams of being a filmmaker and submissive. They both are learning from each other and relishing each others bodies. As they get into a rhythm, outside circumstances threaten to tear them apart. The first is an obsessive Dom that Brie turned down at the graduation. Sir and the other Masters help her to confront him and not feel guilty for his behavior. Sir's mother is the second problem. She wants to destroy her son, and Brie by extension. Like the first book, I loved the second book as well. Again, the story never seemed to lag. There was always something going on with the majority of the characters and Brie. I learned even more new terms and implements…either by the book itself or looking up something I read about.

I have two things that I struggled with:
I still don’t understand why Ms. Clark had a problem with Brie. I understand what happened between her and Rystar. That was a fascinating situation, by the way. But I just can’t seem to figure out why she took such a dislike to Brie. Was it because Rystar likes Brie? I didn’t feel I had closure on this.
The other thing is Tono. He needs his own set of books now. I didn’t care for the pairing between him and Lea. I know that I’m not going to agree with every pairing but I kept repeating…”No, they can’t stay together…they aren’t right for each other.” But I especially didn’t like how he was left searching at the end of the book. I need his story. I need to follow his adventure to find his sub. I need to fall in love with her with him. I need him to be happy. While I really liked Sir and I felt he was perfect for Brie…my heart belonged to Tono in the end.
Please write his story for me, pretty please with a cherry on top *bats eyes and pouts*

I just finished Brie Embraces the Heart of Submission (After Graduation) and I just loved it. This was an awesome sequel. To those who do not know, the first book is Brie Learns the Art of Submission, you will have to read this one (in my opinion) to get a better understanding but man, you will love that one too. I honestly didn't think it could get better, I was sure as heck mistaken! There is so much that goes on in this book, it is very long and if you blink, you will miss something (lol) but kidding aside, it was an enjoyable read and I really wish I was Brie!!!
All of the masters, Sir, Baron, Tono, Anderson, and all others were sexy and informant when it was there time to be masters. Grant it, Brie has graduated but there are still parts of the Center that are in this book and honestly so glad that they were!! Sir, Thane, be still my beating heart!! He has to be one of the top 5 for me with BBF's. Sexy, alluring, dominating, sweet, loving, what more could you ask for. Brie has to be top 5 females for me. She just really love Sir and just wants him to be happy and for a book being about Dom/Sub, carried her story well.
You guys cannot miss out on this or the whole series for that matter. Enjoyable read to say the least!

Grant it, Brie has graduated but there are still parts of the Center that are in this book and honestly so glad that they were!! Sir, Thane, be still my beating heart!! He has to be one of the top 5 for me with BBF's. Sexy, alluring, dominating, sweet, loving, what more could you ask for. Brie has to be top 5 females for me. She just really love Sir and just wants him to be happy and for a book being about Dom/Sub, carried her story well.
You guys cannot miss out on this or the whole series for that matter. Enjoyable read to say the least!

Red Phoenix does it again, with this great conclusion (?) of Brie's journey of submission. At the end of Brie Learns the Art of Submission: Submissive Training Center I was excited and happy for Brie. She was sovery brave, and won the Master of her heart. But as always, you still wonder. How'd she do. What happened next? Brie Embraces the Heart of Submission: After Graduation leaves NOTHNG out! It seems to seemlessly pick up where Brie Learns the Art of Submission: Submissive Training Center left off. I Laughed, Oh did I laugh :) I even shed a few little tears. There was small bites of worrisome fear. My emotions were all over the board. Anger, fear, desperation, love, joy, worry, heartache, and pain. *SIGH* Sir Thane may be the Dom of my dreams, but he only has eyes for Brie! It's PERFECT, Sweet, and I already want to re-read the whole bit. But there are only 365 days in the year, alas, I must more on and let Sir go. If your waiting to read this, DON'T. Your needlessly punishing yourself! Let Sir do it for you :)

As the second book in the series, I was amazed at the details and emotions. Brie is a young woman
who has decided that the changes she has made in her life are just what she was needing.
At the end of Brie Learns the Art of Submission: Submissive Training Center. We find that Brie has
finally gotten the Dom she has been craving. Sir. As the two learn and discover one another they realize
they must over come several obstacles. Sir and his past and Brie with her need to show the world the
woman that she truly is. For Brie learning to become a submissive is more than she had bargained for.
She had no idea all of the changes that would take place in her everyday life. Along with the desire to
fulfill her Masters wishes. These desires move Brie to see that being a submissive is more than about
sex. The joy that she receives from making Sir pleased with her. Life as a Master and Submissive are
not what you would think. These books take you on a journey that will change your way of thinking
and possibly your relationship. Thank you Red and Mr. Red what a pleasure it has been to read this
series.

Love, love, love this series!!! This author, is wonderful! I think she has an excellent mind, the book is well written, smart, and every single scene is different. I swear, this author must have a thesaurus in her mind, the unique way that every scene is different, every character is unique, all of the nicknames different, and unique to that person. The different words that she uses for body parts, for example, is superb. There are so many books that I've read that I've thought, why can't they think of a different way to write that, or stop using that same word over and over! Haha, I never thought that, not even once when reading these books. I love these characters! Sir and Brie are some of my favorite characters that I've read about, but I love all the others also, I love Lea's jokes, and I even like the villains! I really hope that there are more spin off series of these characters, and/or more of Sir and Brie. I literally couldn't put this book down. As soon as I finished Brie Learns the Art of Submission, I bought this one, and I read until I couldn't keep my eyes open, and when I opened them again, the first thing I did, was pick this book back up until I finished it. It was wonderful...

It's been a couple of years (and a couple hundred books) since I read the first Brie compilation, was Brie this stupid and annoying in the first one? Because she really grated on my nerves 90% of the time. Some of the "scenes" were hot, but nothing else worked for me.
The dialogue is so stilted and awkward. People just don't talk like that to each other. There was no sense of intimacy (outside of sex) between Thane and Brie, for the life of me I couldn't understand why he was in love with her (other than his fantasy of having a brainless 1950's housewife). They never have conversations like normal couples have, it's him telling her what to do/think or him reprimanding her for being stupid. It kind of reminded me of The Brady Bunch Movie where Mike goes on a rambling lecture and after forever the kids are like, "I guess I never thought of it that way, dad."
Look, I am all for anyone getting their kink on however they want, but the other stuff is just too much. He makes a mess in the kitchen, she has to clean it up. She can't wear clothes in the house (what if she gets cold?). He needs to go out of town so he "loans" her to another Dom (gross). He's displeased so she had to kneel on a pile of rice for 20 minutes. Thane totally needed to be junk-punched for that one.
And the sexism bothered me. The only non-submissive characters are Ms. Clark, who's a psycho, and Thane's mom, who's also a psycho. Ms. Clark can't even be a strong (psycho) Domme, she has to be submissive for the guy she loves. Cue the eye rolls. Thane's mom is an evil caricature, too silly to be taken seriously. I get it, submissive = good, non-submissive = crazy.
Lastly, there's the whole subplot surrounding the documentary. Brie is in no way believable as a filmmaker. And everyone spouting about her "genius" was laughable. Not to mention any smart businessman wouldn't subject himself to the financial hit that Thane took because he was part of the film.
The dialogue is so stilted and awkward. People just don't talk like that to each other. There was no sense of intimacy (outside of sex) between Thane and Brie, for the life of me I couldn't understand why he was in love with her (other than his fantasy of having a brainless 1950's housewife). They never have conversations like normal couples have, it's him telling her what to do/think or him reprimanding her for being stupid. It kind of reminded me of The Brady Bunch Movie where Mike goes on a rambling lecture and after forever the kids are like, "I guess I never thought of it that way, dad."

WOW! Honestly, I'm kinda speechless as to how to summarize this whole series and do it justice. This is probably the most REAL D/S book I've ever read.....anything else just seems like child's play. Red has created this story that is unique and interesting, the way she explains the D/S world was amazing and very educational *winks* I learned so much and I loved it! Is there submissive training schools around here?!?! Seriously....where can I sign up! 4.5 stars
Brie Embraces the Heart of Submission shows Brie and Sir's life after Brie has graduated from the training center. It shows their growth as a couple, struggling to live in the outside world and balance their careers and relationship, and Brie learning to embrace her submission to Sir fully, but still making mistakes and learning as she grows. The connection these two share is amazing and it gives the reader a look at the trust and love shared in a D/S relationship. We also get to visit previous Dom's like Tono and Faelan and see Brie get closure on their connections and we also get to see Brie's classmates and friends growth.
This is definitely a must read series for all of you lovers of erotica. This has become one of my top favorites without a doubt!

I thoroughly enjoyed the story, it was enlightening and challenging for me on many levels.
the story itself is a bit magical. The school idea was a great one and I hope someday a school is done,I think it would definitely be educational for many people.I also enjoyed the documentary aspect! so many minds that could be settled if the right person headed it up.
there were a few times I had to look up something online,I blame a small town raising with sheltering parents. I do enjoy learning new things though and the fact that there touches of reality involved made this experience a good one :)
the characters were relatable and endearing on many levels, so that just sucked me right in!
I'm still stuck on Rystar though and hope in the future there will be something involving him, so the book left me wanting a little more.
this book has it all! I recommend it to all the people that enjoy a good BDSM book.
