Good, fun read. I liked this book better than the first; faster pace, plenty of action and a neat touch of sorcery/magic concerning Haakon’s golden axe. Comes to a satisfying conclusion, but leaves you looking for more, as the story is far from done. The first book spent some time setting up the revenge premise, while book two kicks things up a notch and gets the ball rolling. Looking forward to books three and four.

The Viking's Revenge:

Rosamund is kidnapped and headed for slavery while Haakon is fighting in Ireland. Haakon goes after her.

The story lives up to the first book in the series. Lots of adventure and tension. And Wulf is with him (I still like dogs).

The second book in the Golden Axe series. Like the first it is another short historical fiction full of action.

The "Viking's Revenge" takes place right after the events of "The Golden Ax." Without revealing too many details of the story, the main plot is of Haakon's plans to finally avenge his father and family after 15 years against the vile Harud Olafsson.

The story is a nice short story for those that appreciate historical fiction and who have an interested in Norse mythology and Vikings way of life. Eric Neilson does a great job writing a story that can grab the readers and provide an insight into the Viking people.
