Sam Crescent is passionate about fiction. She loves a good erotic romance and so it only made sense for her to spread her wings and start writing. She began writing in 2009 and finally got that first acceptance in 2011 by Total-E-Bound.
She loved creating new characters and delving into the worlds that she creates. When she’s not panicking about a story or arguing with a character, she can be found in her kitchen creating all kinds of havoc. Like her stories the creations in the kitchen can be just as dubious but sometimes things turn out great.

Spoilers here
The Club Dom is training the Virgin sub!
Self harm and elements of gang rape are present in this book.
Too much talk about dom/sub and this club Control!? Good God really!? And these woman are ok with this?
I really regret reading this book.
The hero thinks he is in love with another woman for 10 years but want to have his own Virgin sub!
So here comes the heroine.
I fear for their relationship as he kept having contact with his other subs at his club Control.
Women he slept with and if anyone is buying this crap... Great but now that I am done.
I will never be visiting this fictional place again!
Just back away from this book!
Back away slowly!
Removing all other books from this series from my TBR list as it truly not for me here at all.

If you're familiarized with Sam's heroines (bullied for being overweight, virgin, submissive) then this book is no different.
I don't understand why she keeps writing about the SAME heroine in every book.

It makes no sense to me and since there are few reviews I keep buying them.
Regardless, you may like this book if you like the same repetitive characters.

Same formula. Young female inexperienced virgin. Who happens to be plus sized being abused by those around her. She is quiet, shy, and submissive. There's an older dude, who is a Dom but he can do vanilla. He has slowly fallen in love with her. He has had his issues. But seeing what has been happening to the lush girl decides to help her out. It was an all right storyline. But I found myself more interested in Kelly's story. How she was a very hard fighter. How she fought the rapists. Her strength. I was surprising. I was surprised at this young strong woman. I look forward to hers.

I loved this series. This book went by a little fast and didn't have as much drama as I was hoping, considering the other books, but I still love this series and am in love with all of the people in it. I'm happy for Peter finally being able to move on and get what he deserves and that the town is changing. I can't wait to read the next book to find out what happens with Edward and Isabel.

Honestly, I think I was over this series until I read the last chapter of this book.

I’ve been slogging through the last couple books in this series (this one included) just trying to get to book 6. The first 3 books were nice. But books 4 and 5 had characters I didn’t care for and the town was absolutely atrocious!

I don’t care how beautiful a place is when an entire town full of people are so hateful. And each of book 4 and 5 were so full of hate. These two books were ruining the HEA’s of the first three books in the series!

But, finally(!) in the last chapter of this book was the lead in to book 6 the book that I bought this series for. I hope it’s as interesting as I think it will be.

As for this book, it was nice enough and the town seems to have finally lightened up. I’m glad Peter found his HEA (now we can stop hearing about him and his pinning). I still feel that the author was inconsistent with his character. You don’t love one woman for ten years and then just stop. Granted, the author did try to play it off that he had been changing for a while but his chameleon character was not well written. I’m sorry but it just wasn’t. And just like Daisy in book four, Rose in this book was just a weak woman and not inspiring at all.

Also, I’m beyond tired of saying this but can someone tell the author to get a NEW and BETTER editor! Because the one she has SUCKS A$$!! Enjoy if you can, I’m off to read the book I’ve been waiting for book 6.

Moving On is the fifth book in the Cape Falls series by Sam Crescent. While reading the prior books in the series can help you understand the town and some elements of the story, this book can still be read as a standalone novel.

Peter has always thought he was in love with the one woman he can’t have to the point he has even deluded himself about it. Peter has a good heart had does what he thinks is best for those around him. He has his eyes set of Rose. He enjoys the time he spends at the library with her. While he might have started going for a woman of the past he now goes for a woman of the present that intrigues him.

Rose is a young woman of 19 raised in a town where they child don’t have a whole lot choices other than to do what they are told by their parents. Rose has been raised to fear leaving the town. Her parents have chosen whom she is to marry without her consent. They also starve her to get her to lose the weight her husband to be wants. Rose does not even realize she has any choices in her life until Peter helps her escape.

Rose and Peter connected in a way I think each did not expect. I loved that they started as friends before it became something more. The sex scenes were steamy but they were not over the top either. Rose and Peter seem to have what it takes to last a lifetime. I also enjoyed how honest each of them were with each other.

I did find this book well written with interesting and engaging characters. I enjoyed this book a lot but I wish this book was longer and more in depth as to Rose and Peter’s relationship and more information about Rose’s parents were told. I love Ms. Crescents books and this did not disappoint in the least.

Rape reduces my romantic fantasies

I'm not sure what I just read but it was not okay. I'm bothered by certain things that happened in this story. I like fantasy with a little reality but this story had some reality and then wanted to take me back to fantasy. Like um, no thanks.

The heroine knows of a girl that gets gang raped, she and the hero goes and visit the girl in the hospital and then they go home and have hot passionate sex. Again um, no thanks.

Not only that, I feel some kind of way when the heroine is a teenager (teenage virgin). And for the record (or my ranting)19 is still a teenager. The hero was 28. In the real world most people would have a problem because she is still a child. If my friend brought a teenager to a picnic I would be concerned because it could be classified as statutory rape (depending on the state).

Which brings me back to my title, rape reduces my romantic or erotic fantasies.

Thought I'd warn others.

I have read most of this author's books and i'll probably keep reading them cause so far i've liked the plots and the characters. It does bug me that the stories are too short for me like this one. In this book i thought the heroine even if naive was cute and likeable and i liked the storline and all but still a major problem for me with this author is the writing style. Even liking the story i can't give it 5 stars considering i gave Bella Andre's Sullivans books a 5 star rating.
I like Sam Crescent but for me her writing shows she is not an experienced author. When i have to roll my eyes on almost every page than for me it is a sign something's wrong.
Still i'm going to buy the next book in the series :)
