Spoilers ahead...hard to avoid them, this being book 8 in the series :D

**4.5 Stars for Thomas's Choice**

"I loved you from the moment I first saw you."

description

I have long awaited Thomas's story, from book one in the Scanguards Vampires series. From the moment Thomas's heart was broken, and from the moment he met Eddie and became his mentor.
description

Thomas is a loving, kind and smexy vampire, that has a passion for restoring antique motorbikes. One of Scanguards vampires, he takes on the role of Eddie's mentor, helping him cope with his new existence as a vampire. And in the process falls irrevocably and hopelessly in love with him. Hopeless is his love, for Eddie is straight, and would never imagine Thomas as anything other than a friend.
description

Eddie a newbie vampire, started his new life on the wrong side of the vampire law. With the help of Scanguards Vampires and Thomas's mentoring, Eddie is finally on track with his life as a bodyguard at Scanguards. That's until he finds out about Thomas's feelings for him. Eddie, first in denial and scared, attempts to forget and avoid Thomas. But how can he forget or deny the feelings Thomas rouses in him. Feeling that were long berried, from fear of disappointing those around him. Fear of the unknown, from feelings he was taught to be forbidden.
description

When holding back from Thomas and hesitating to commit to a relationship, Eddie doesn't realize the consequences his actions have caused. His actions leading to Thomas losing his long time battle of control over his dark power...and maybe even losing Thomas forever. I guess you should read the book to find out what happens *evil laugh*
description

I can say I'm very satisfied with the way this story unfolded. I did at times find it predictable, but I was still very interested in everything that went on in the book. Scanguards Vampires never disappoint. Filled with smexy vampires and their mates, kick ass action...even the R rated version and sweet lovin'.

Book eight in the Scanguards Vampires series features everyone's favorite IT genius & Master of Mind Control - Thomas, whose story has been progressing since the first book in the series, Samson's Lovely Mortal

One of the (Many) strengths of this series, is that we have a core collection of main characters, and their development progresses throughout all of the books, so we never lose touch with any of our favorite players.

I am a major fan of the Scanguards Vampires series, and of the Author Tina Folsom… It would be a stretch to say that Thomas has been my favorite character throughout the series, but I HAVE been anxiously awaiting his book.

We know that is heart was broken by Milo in the first book of the series, in fact, he was nearly killed by his corrupted lover, but chose to have mercy and banish Milo rather than kill him… That was the moment I realized I wanted Thomas to have his own book, his own chance at love and contentment… But I had to wait until book eight?!?! Oh Tina Folsom, you sure know how to tease a reader, because Thomas's story was evolving bit by bit in each previous book.
- We learned of his maniacal Sire
- We found out he has badass Mindcontrol powers
- We discovered he is constantly on the cutting edge of Vampire technology
- He agreed to mentor Eddie
- And we were there in Oliver's Hunger when Eddie discovered that Thomas had feelings for him…

It is Thomas's relationship with Eddie that is the focus of Thomas's Choice, and the reader gets to enjoy a more detailed look into Thomas's past. The events surrounding his turning were a treat to read.

This book certainly seemed to have more suspense than its predecessors, and less of the witty banter I've come to expect from the series. Folsom was also comparatively tame in her sex scenes - I can't help but wonder if she was nervous about alienating her regular readers who have become fans of her previous 7 MF Romances…
If I'm being honest, I was worried that Thomas would never receive his own book due to reluctance to produce a MM Romance in the midst of a series which never featured a homosexual couple as the main focus in any of the books…
Though the increasing popularity of MM Romances among male and female readers alike is a good omen for the genre!

That said, Thomas & Eddie's story was just lovely, and a great addition to the series… I'll certainly be reading book 9 when it comes out!

Also, I have a prediction for book 9:

I don't wanna know how these books get such high ratings.

"'I'm nobody's errant boy.'"

"He'd been handsome once, very handsome. But the scar that marred one side of his face had put an end to that."

"...pushing against the tight ring of muscles that guarded his dark portal."

"He noticed that as so often Eddie hadn't put his helmet on."

"When he reached the tight ring of muscle that guarded the dark portal, Eddie rubbed over it with his lube-covered fingers, circling it like a tiger its prey."

Seriously - lawl.

Tina darling, you have missed your calling! Are you sure this is your first M/M? 'Cause let me tell ya, I have been reading nothing but M/M for a while now and this ranks right up there with some of the best! The passion was burning up my screen. The sex scenes? Nailed it. And the plot was fantastic! It was a bit darker than I'm used to from you, especially that one scene (you know which one). Will you write more M/M books in the future? Pretty please? For me???

I gobbled this book up in 5 short hours and i loved every single page, Tina Folsom does not disappoint!

This is the 8th book in the Scanguards series and there is no sign of the series getting stale whats so ever, Tina Folsom is still keeping you gripped from the very first word.

The story rushes past at such a fast pace you dont notice you have been sat still for almost 5 hours!
This is one of the best male on male books i have ever read, it ranks up there with J R Ward’s Lover at last in the Black dagger brotherhood series.

The Heat between Thomas and Eddie is amazing the sex scenes are hot, heavy, intense, deeply sexual and tastefully written. The fact that both Eddie and Thomas are ripped full of muscles and beautiful inside and out doesnt hurt the story at all, two hot guys for the price of one!

Im so glad Tina made the leap to write a male on male story, it is so well written.

Through the whole book you are just rooting for Thomas and Eddie to have a happy out come, your just begging Eddie to open his eyes and see what everyone else can see.
The plot is awesome full of action, love and romance. The point were Eddie tells Thomas his real feelings had me melting into a puddle of goo, that took some balls for Eddie to do in that situation, with most of the Scanguards guys watching on. The proposal was SEXY!!!

There are not enough words to express how much i loved this book it was just a fantastic read and i look forward to reading more from this sexy bunch of vampires.

This was everything I had hoped for, and more.
I seriously cannot believe that this was Tina Folsom's first ever M/M novel. That in itself makes this book outstanding. You have definitely found a new niche here.

I felt so bad for poor Eddie in the beginning of this book, realising that he just wasn’t into sex with women anymore. He didn’t understand what was happening. What was wrong with him? He’s also panicking when he discovered that Thomas is sexually attracted to him. It was so hard for him, doubting their friendship and wondering if it had all been a lie. Does Thomas really think he’s doing well as his trainee? Or is he just trying to get into his pants? He was in such a mess.

Thomas has been trying so hard to keep his feelings for Eddie hidden from everyone. Knowing that Eddie would never be his completely broke his heart.

’For over a year now, Thomas had tried to supress his feelings, to no avail. He was irrevocably and hopelessly in love with Eddie. And there was nothing he could do about it.’

I liked it when Thomas started to realise that Eddie was curious about him, that he was attracted to him. He really started to fight for Eddie, to fight for what he wanted.

’Eddie laughed. ”Kneel down? You don’t really think he’s going to get on his knees. That’s old fashioned.”
“Nothing wrong with being old fashioned. If I found the right person, I’d get on my knees too.”
He would fall to his knees for Eddie if it made a difference. But he knew it didn’t. No amount of grovelling would win him the love of the young vampire he couldn’t banish from his heart.’

This relationship was far from plain-sailing. Poor Eddie found it really difficult to overcome his new feelings, doubting them at every turn. Even though I hated to see Thomas hurting, I think it was really important for Eddie to work through his issues in his own time. Thomas has had a long time to accept himself and the fact that he is gay. Thomas needed that time too.

I loved the storyline about Kasper and the tainted blood he gave to Thomas. The book was action packed towards the ending. It was an amazing story and lot darker than all the previous books.

It was great to see all the Scanguards gang again. The group banter is always so much fun and it was nice to see how they are all getting on and the changes that have come their way.

My only, very small, negative is that sometimes the endings of these books are a little too sweet. Does every couple need to get married, pregnant, or engaged in every single book? I don’t think so. But hey, that was my only issue. So I can live with that.

They’re a beautiful couple…
”I wanted you to know then that you weren’t just any lover for me. I wanted you to know that if you committed to me, I’d lay the world at your feet.”

My favourite scene was when Cain saw Thomas and Eddie kissing, he was so shocked. But what he saw will be burned into my memory for a really long time. It sounded so hot, so sweet…

’Eddie sat on his motorcycle, the engine running. Thomas stood next to the bike, his arms around Eddie, his lips fused with the younger vampire’s. Eddie leaned into him, one hand on Thomas’s nape, his head angled for a passionate kiss, one that seemed to go on forever.’

I cannot wait to read the next book!

I’ve waited for Thomas and Eddie’s story for a while. I loved it. It was sexy as hell, and had a great story to go along with all the sexiness.

I loved reading Eddie struggle with his sexuality. It has to be difficult to admit that you’re gay when so many people judge and shun you when you do. I think society is way more accepting now than they ever have been, but it’s still hard. I laughed when Eddie thought something when wrong with his transformation into a vampire and that’s what made him gay. He was hoping his sire could fix it. That’s what I love about paranormal: it allows for a whole new way for a gay character to deny his sexual orientation.

I was upset at first that I had to wait so long for their story, but I’m glad now Tina Folsom did it this way. We watched the friendship and love between the two grow over so many books that when Eddie finally accepts how he feels about Thomas it doesn’t feel so sudden. If this book had come any earlier it may have felt too fast.

I really liked the sex scenes and the GFY angst. I found the writing style simplistic, making everything else seem mundane. 'Eddie put his helmet on the table.' Entering a building took up several pages of opening doors, turning corners. But anytime the two MCs were together, it was interesting and hot.

I have had the honor of reading all 8 books of the Scanguards Series by Tina Folsom. And with each book she has not disappointed me. Thomas's Choice is a must read.

If I didn't have to work today I would have finished the book yesterday when it was released. SO I got to finish it today. I must admit I have read scenes in other books with men who are gay and I have seen them on TV but I never got hot with any of those scenes. Thomas's Choice was the first book that made me exited with anticipation on the love and the sex scenes that two men had.

I loved Thomas from when Tina first introduced him. I loved the leather and the motorcycles. I loved the fact that he was a computer geek. But he was one computer geek you did not mess with. He was a strong and powerful vampire that worked for one of the biggest companies. He fell in love with Eddie who is Nina's brother. For the past year he had to fight the urge to take him in his bed and when he finally got his chance he couldn't be more happier. When the darkness threatened and an old flame came come from the past Thomas had to be convince that the love he received from Eddie would save him from the darkness.

Eddie was a young vampire about a year old. He was mentored by Thomas but when he over heard Blake and Oliver about Thomas being in love with him Eddie tried hard to fight his feelings. When he decided to give in the sex was unbelievable. The scenes were so hot there were times where I had to put the book down for a minute to take a few deep breathes. He had said something to his sister in front of Thomas that hurt him so much he left. But in the end to save Thomas Eddie had to come out and tell him how he truly felt about Thomas.

Well I loved Thomas's Choice by Tina Folsom a must read for vampire fans and m/m alike but if you like both genres you'll be in heaven.

Thomas the IT specialist is openly gay, his a great character warm, interesting and a bit kinky too it seems :) and did I mention He rides a motorcycle - damn hot!

Eddie needed retraining and went to live with Thomas for this reason, unknown to Eddie, Thomas has the hots for him but a Eddies straight isn't he??

When Eddie overhears a conversation, it awakens something in him, it's not gonna be easy for him to accept though, Thomas has his own battles to deal with too, an new evil is lurking around that needs dealing with, but of course he will have Scanguards super vamps to help him.

I really enjoyed this book, the were some dark scenes in this book mixed in with people finding a mutual attraction and acting on it, and when they do ( which is quite a lot ;) ) it's very hot and sexy.

Also the other Scanguards were in this book lots which I loved, especially seeing characters develop even more.

I thought the m/m sexy scenes were great and more realistic than some I've read as they used lube not just spit!

This is a great addition to the scanguard series, and a great m/m romance book too.

5 vampy and racey stars from me.

Tina, you're a magnificent writer! I heard this book made it #1 in Gay Romance! You go Girl! You deserved it for such a wonderful book!
Okay, so my review. First, I have to say this book was really really reaaally good. While Zane and Portia will always be MY favorite couple, Eddie and Thomas now hold a special spot in my heart. I wasn't sure who I loved more! Eddie, so innocent and confused about his feelings for Thomas or Thomas, so dominant and sure of his feelings for Eddie. They both make a sexy contradiction/combination but my God I wouldn't change a thing about them. They're perfect the way they are and when they are together, I swear I could feel the heat radiating off just from reading. I had to stop a little to fan myself because the sex scenes were HOT and I mean freaking hot. Oh boy...only remembering the shower scene...I may read that part again...
If I'm honest, then I'm going to say that I lost what you may call '"gay virginity" to this book (if such thing exists). Having never read a gay book, I was a bit hesitant in the beginning. I didn't know if I was going to like it, if I was going to be able to read a book without a female's POV. But Tina, dear, you are so wonderful talented that it didn't matter what my previous thoughts were because as I read and read, the more I fell in love with both of them and their story. I did highlighted my favorite scenes...
Okay, so aside from having no girl POV, something else that was new to me were the sexy scenes or the actual sex. I'm no stranger to how gay couples have sex. I just never read it or knew how it could feel for them. I will say that in this book the sex scenes were amazing but there was more than that. You get to feel and I mean actual feel through the words how each of them felt while they were together. It was such an amazing feeling.
In this book, you will always find out more about the other characters and how they're doing. I especially loved the baby part! Oh my God. So adorably cute. I couldn't believe it and yet I wouldn't have it any other way. I was a little bit sad then you did THAT and I wanted to cry at how you wrote such a beautiful scene. I wasn't expecting, I wasn't!
I don't want to spoil this for anyone so I'm going to keep this review short. What I will say is to buy it and read it! Why Tina isn't writing more gay romance? I have no idea, she obviously has the talent and I would be one of the first ones to order it if she so desires to write more books in this area. (Can you make anyone else gay in the series? Please?). Anyway, I loved this book! Tina, if you ever read this, I hope you know you're an amazing writer, and I will always be your fan. As long as you write, I'll be buying your books. Thank you for such a beautiful story, now if you could write a second book for Zane and Portia...well let's just say that I will send you flowers to your house!

My Rating: ★★★★
VERY GOOD: The characteristics of a 4 star book include: a great story; I loved the characters; and there was an interesting plot and unique story elements; there may have been a few odd things kept the story from being amazing. I would read it again and I would recommend it to a friend.
My Thoughts:
For those of us who follow the Scanguards series, we have been eagerly awaiting Thomas' story. And major props to Miss Tina because she did not disappoint us with this story. From the minute Thomas laid he eyes on Eddie he was in love. However, he knew that love would be unrequited since Eddie was heterosexual. . .or was he? This book sheds light on Eddie's past as he begins to question his own sexuality as his attraction to Thomas grows. Subtly at first, but one unexpected interlude, started as a ruse, turns into a whole lot more. Thomas's and Eddie's passions ignite and encounter and encounter thrusts them closer and closer into a committed relationship. But all is not quiet. The dark power in Thomas is rising and it seems to be coinciding with the insurgence of new, nefarious vampires in the area. In a fight for survival, battle lines are drawn and love is tested.

I love how Tina wove the simultaneous stories of both Thomas and Eddie fighting what was within them. Sure, Thomas's battle was of a much darker nature. But, so was Eddie's to him. He denied his attraction to Thomas -- staunchly. But Thomas was persistent in his seductive wooing of Eddie. I really enjoyed how this story and Thomas and Eddie's relationship evolved. There was a moment or two when I felt that Eddie settled too easily into his new sexuality after fighting it so hard. But that minor issue did not take away from my total enjoyment of the story. It was completely well done.

For all of those Scanguard Vampire fans, this is the long awaited book 8 which is Thomas' story. Tina wrote on Facebook before starting this book that she waited a long time to write it because Thomas is gay and she was worried about how it would be perceived since it would strictly be a M/M book. True Scanguards fans only wanted for Thomas to finally be happy and find true love like all of his friends have. If you do not like reading M/M action then do not buy this book because there is A LOT of it going on. As you can tell from my 5 stars review, I don't mind reading it.

I've always been a fan ofThomas. The hot Scanguard IT computer geek that is super smart, always there for his friends, dresses in leather and builds motorcycles. Who wouldn't be a fan...

It's now been one year since Thomas became Eddies mentor and everything was going great. They hang out together, build motorcycles together and Thomas is teaching all of the ins and outs of being a vampire. All of that changes when Eddie overhears Blake and Oliver say that Thomas is in love with him.

Eddie is now questioning everything that Thomas does. Eddie is straight after all, right? So why is it that after he kisses Thomas he can't stop thinking about him. It was just a way to keep from being caught spying on the new vampires in town after all. It didn't mean that he was gay.

When an evil villain that we thought was dead resurfaces, Thomas is drawn to him and its up to Eddie to bring him back and keep him from crossing over. Can he save Thomas?

There is a really awesome side story in this book that made me tear up with happy tears as well! Scanguard fans will be soooo excited!!!!!

Need I say FINALLY! :) *does happy dance* ...

description

Was waiting for this story since Amaury's story.

---- My Review: ----

Okay, I've been following this series since I downloaded "Samson's Lovely Mortal" and took a liking to these vampires. Thomas was an all time favourite character with his motorcycles and leather jacket and IT savvy brain. I'm glad he finally got his happily ever after.

From the previous novels, it was clear that Thomas's affections were one sided, with Eddie not having any hint of it. He merely thought of Thomas as his mentor and friend. Their story stuck with that mentality from the inception, until Eddie overheard Oliver talking about Thomas being attracted to Eddie. As far as life altering moments go, this was a big one for Eddie and it was then he began to re-evaluate his whole life and his preferences. I liked that the writer showed Eddie's dilemma and struggle to accept who he really is, and not just throw the two of them together like 'wham bam, thank you ma'am.'

Well worth worth the read!
Devoured this in about 4 and a half hours! ... :)

Wow! 5 stars without a doubt! Loved watching Eddie come to terms to who he was, and what Thomas meant to him. Thomas is one of my favourite Scanguards, he has been an interesting character with a past before now we have only had a glimpse into. Eddie of course has been there in the background but we never have really had a good chance to meet him properly before now.

The author has held nothing back with these boys. The relationship, the sex is as sexy and as hot as any of the m/f couplings in this series. No watering down or tiptoeing going on with this couple. But it isn't all about the steamy sex, the rest of the book was good too :)

Great Paranormal Romance worth top marks.

Not quite 4 stars. More like 3.5.
I was a little disappointed in this one. Eddie was kind of rude when he found out about Thomas' feelings. His shift from heterosexual to bicurious was too fast. It wasn't smooth. I thought Thomas deserved someone who thought he was the cat's meow.
However, I do like the emergence of an anti Scanguard group. It makes for a vampire civil war, so I like that new direction

Finding out Thomas, Eddie's mentor, has a sexual interest in him totally floors Eddie. He doesn't swing that way. Yet there's something about Thomas and his sculpted body and well endowed assets that can't be ignored despite his best efforts.

Thomas agreed to mentor the new vampire and employee of Scanguards but it's becoming more and more difficult to hide his feelings. Thomas knows Eddie isn't gay and that there's no hope his fantasies will be anything other than fantasies. Yet, while out on patrol, in a dangerous situation when they're about to be discovered by an evil vampire gang, Eddie lays one scorcher of a kiss on Thomas as a diversionary tactic that has him wondering. No straight guy can kiss another guy that well.

Eddie & Thomas may fool everyone else into thinking they're only friends and co-workers but when Thomas' past threatens his Scanguard family the two will have to work together to stop the dark forces from winning. And in the process define their own priorities.

In this the 8th installment of Scanguards Vampires Miss Tina has finally allowed Thomas & Eddie to have their chance at a HEA. I could be wrong but I do think this is her first m/m erotic romance book. Regardless, this is a couple I personally have been waiting for since early on but have been reluctant to read as I was worried the end product wouldn't live up to my personal expectations.

Well. Totally worth the wait and yes I'm angry at myself for not believing in Miss Tina. I read it. I devoured it. I lusted over it. I loved it. I was pleasantly surprised that the author was able to channel into a m/m theme to provide oodles and oodles of man on man action that was both sensual and HAWT. I had a bit of penee envy as these two, once they finally got past the foreplay of fighting their relationship, burned up the pages. I did use the BDSM tag but want to make sure to clarify that this isn't a core or normal part of their relationship.

While the book itself COULD be read as a standalone if you exclusively look for and read m/m books but some of the flavor of the secondary characters and their importance/effect will be lost if you haven't read any of the previous installments. If you are an exiting fan of the series itself and wonder about the m/m aspect. The adult content scenes do get pretty erotic yet there are no extreme or graphic scenes between the two. I could see being slightly uncomfortable if you haven't read same sex books but the scenes are loving, sensual, and manly which is what I would want to see for this type of story.

As to the story line itself. Many of the characters from previous installments make appearances as a threat from the past is back to wreak havoc. The action adventure aspects are a little light in intensity but still interesting with twisty turn elements. Personally the climatic big reveal was a little cheesy for my tastes but worked. My issues though are that I was torn on the back stories leading up to this installment. I haven't gone back to verify my thoughts but do believe the lead in to this story and the way Eddie and Thomas teasers from past installments conflicted with the initial set up of facts in this installment. As I stated earlier I had been anticipating this book for quite a while so I did key in to these two chronically. Due to spoiler potential I'm not going to list more specifically. Anyway, that was the reason I didn't go the five star.

Overall this was an interesting read in the series that continues to be a reason I'm a chronic fan. Next up is Cain. Let the stalking for release date start.

SQUEEE!!! I waited for this one and was not disappointed!!

I've read all of the Scanguard books but this one is one takes the cake. We met Eddie early on in the series and knew Thomas carried a torch, unfortunately Eddie is straight. And we also know that Thomas was almost killed by Milo (EVIL EX) so he is pretty damaged.

In this book Eddie realized he is attracted to Thomas after a situation in an alley leaves them making out... ok maybe a little more than making out teehehe SQUEEEEEEE!

At that point Eddie really freaks out, and fears his sisters judgement. (silly boy)

The naughty bits were super steamy, and Eddie does eventually get his Sh*t together. Sigh* Such a good read.

Ok, so how to review this book? Let's see what I can come up with here. First I want to start by saying that I love Tina Folsom and I love the Scanguards series. I was very weary when this book came out because it is m/m as this is Thomas and Eddie's story. I may be okay with people being gay but that doesn't mean that I am going to watch gay porn either... So I really struggled with wanting to buy this book. I'm not going to sugarcoat it, there is A LOT of m/m action in this book that is very detailed. It is not glossed over and well if you were to skim over it you would miss about 65% of the book.

So, if you can get past all that the book is amazing! As I stated this is Thomas and Eddie's story and it is a powerful one. Both Thomas and Eddie come with a passenger car full of luggage, but can they get past that ... oh and the fact that Eddie is "straight" to make things work?

We are visited by a popular villain from a previous book, seems he didn't quite die, like everyone thought! Now he is wreaking havoc and creating hell for Thomas and his friends, not to mention the entire city! This villain draws Thomas to him, but can Thomas fight off the evil within him to make the right choice?

I don't want to give away spoilers, but there are some pretty amazing events for some of our favorite couples from previous books as well. The best one is for Yvette and Haven!! Then again Oliver has a pretty big surprise for everyone as well!

Overall, this book does not disappoint, and I am glad that I got it. I love the series and this book continues the story line rather well. As usual all the characters, plots and themes are well thought out and written. The suspense keeps you flipping pages, hungry to know what happens next! There are so many avenues for this story to go, I can't wait to see where the author takes us next!!

Eddie's feelings have changed toward Thomas, ending Thomas's suffering in silence and his being in love alone, and not because of anything Thomas has done. Eddie however has a difficult time accepting a change for himself, but Thomas is home, comfort, safety and all those good things we're supposed to have. Meanwhile, the darkness inherited from his mentor, Kaspar, seems to be growing and spreading within Thomas as the team tries to fight off the new threat to their territory.

I liked this outing but not as much as I wanted to. Not being a fan of flashbacks, those didn't help. In addition the storyline which had been building over several installments left me with expectations for a more balanced emotional payoff throughout the read. Unfortunately, this was bland (IMO) for the first 25-30%. I liked the threat from the new clan looking to set up shop in Scanguards front yard. They were sinister and insidious and insane enough to be quite the credible threat for Samson's team. Thomas was once again a very solid character as he suffered the barrage of mental and emotional projectiles that kept coming his way as he dealt with his differences. Eddie was just as strong as he went thru denial, confusion and betrayal playing against true affection, acceptance and loyalty while struggling to figure out how to move from friend to lover with Thomas, and how to accept his own sexual preference. However. I felt betrayed with the explanation given for Scanguards darkest hour and felt I'd stepped into a James Bond movie. But all's well that ends well and overall this was a worthy installment for series and a successful mating for Thomas and Eddie.

I actually really enjoyed this - up until the ending/epilogue. And that's not to say it ended badly, because it didn't. It just descended too far into saccharine territory for me. Thomas and Eddie were sweet and hot together, and I liked how their relationship progressed from friends to lovers. The ending was good in theory, I liked the idea of it. I just thought it was poorly executed. I loved the 'falling to one knee sentiment' and thought it was a nice touch. However, their 'voices' didn't ring true to me and seemed very different from the rest of the book.

In my defense, I have not read all of this series. I love m/m vampire romances and a friend stated that it could be read as a standalone. So, it could be my lack of knowledge and love for characters that would have normally developed over the series that has caused me to give it a lower rating. It's not a bad story by any means; it just wasn't everything I'd hoped it would be.

Kudos for the cover though. The guy in the hoodie is downright beautiful.

LOVED IT!!!!!! What can I say, I've been waiting for Thomas's and Eddie's story for a long time and I'm really glad Tina told it. Tina, you need to write more m/m!! Fabulous job and one of my fav m/m romances. This genre has really been growing big time and I love to see an author who traditionally writes hetero romance jump into another genre, especially m/m. I had only read hetero romance for about 40 years and now I read almost exclusively m/m, have for about the last three years, because I just became bored with the same old, same old. I have loved the Scangaurd series and Thomas's and Eddie's story was one of my favorites. I have to admit I got away from the series the last two books but wasn't about to miss this one. Loved visiting with Sampson, Gabriel, and the gang again. I would love to see Tina write more m/m. She has a great voice for it and she's alway been one of my favorite authors who can deliver the heat. She's one of the best for hot, emotional love scenes.

I've finally popped my MM cherry!! And it was good!, finally Thomas and Eddies story, been waiting for this since book 2 and were up to book 8!. I've loved both characters and secretly hoped that something would happen, Thomas the Vampire IT specialist with a fetish for motorbikes, leather, (he also has a dungeon, ahem)...who has also been holding back his feelings for newbie Vampire Eddie for over a year, Problem is Eddie is supposedly straight...Great story with loads of drama, vendettas and revenge aplenty. loads of the Scanguards gang are included which was brilliant and their stories also continue. But I have to say the most surprising thing for me was the sex scenes they were H.O.T,!, I won't lie but I did learn a few things!!, wow wee you totally felt the connection between the characters and by the last chapter I had the biggest smile on my face. I'll be honest and say I was apprehensive to read this book but it was totally unfounded, so glad I read it.

I don't understand M/M or F/F relationships. Yeah, I get the emotional and physical aspects, but the way their brains work is a mystery. Consequently, I wouldn't normally read a book (or watch a movie) about same sex partners. I AM true to the belief that everyone is entitled to their beliefs, actions, and behaviors as long as they are not harming others. Love is unconditional, and a life partner is a life partner.

That being said, this was the best book of the whole "Scanguard" series. I admired Thomas-hot leather-clad, motorcycle-loving man and true friend. The way he handled his attraction to Eddie while acting as his mentor showed him to be a man of strong values and character. What's not to love? Watching Eddie struggle with his sexuality while working with Thomas at Scanguards and seeing him grow into the relationship was beautiful. It was a pleasure reading this book.
